Kien and his partners opened Vietnam Insider Travel to facilitate more authentic travel experiences around Cat Ba. The company also reduces negative impact of the rapid-growing tourism by supporting sustainable tourism practices: food sourced from the local market, collecting trash from the sea whenever possible, educating travellers about the endangered Langur monkeys in Cat Ba. Besides that, the team contributes back to the community by offering weekly free kayaking trip for the locals.

Excellent cruise - two days and one night through the beautiful bay of Lan Ha. During the cruise we could see other boats but no comparison to ours - it was so luxurious! The facilities and cabins were fabulous - The cabin was very large, even bigger than most hotel rooms I have stayed in Vietnam. - Very good, authentic and varied food with seafood, fish, meat, vegetables etc. - The cruise itself is incredible, you cannot stop looking at the landscape and how beautiful it is. - The kayak ride through the caves and lagoons, one of the best experiences we have had in Vietnam. We were the only the cruise passengers (just 5 of us) and the two guides. Indescribable tranquility and beauty, you have to live it! - At night we went kayaking again to see the bioluminescence. It was not the best night to see it, but our guide tried hard to find the best places for us to enjoy the experience. - Small squid can be caught at night. A fun and recommended activity! - The guides speak excellent English and are very friendly - Lan Ha Bay is so much quieter than Ha Long bay (I have done both)There are almost no boats around you and it is equally beautiful and special. -Good quality - price! - Highly recommended!--

The bus pick up from our hotel was on time and everything fell into place on this well organized tour. Our guide Mong spoke very good English and was full of interesting information on just about any topic you asked him about. We started with a boat tour through the floating fishing villages and then ended up on a remote beach to start our Kayaking tour. We got to see hidden jungles, beaches, interesting rock formations and even hidden coves! We stopped on a beach for swimming and then had an amazing lunch back on the boat. After lunch we had more swimming, but only after crawling through a narrow cave into a completely hidden jungle and out the other side to a secret beach! I highly recommend this trip!

Small group of max. 12 people (we were 11). Picked up by a bus and transfered to the harbour in the south. They took us on a 30-40 minute drive into Lan Ha Bay, before we starting the kayaking. The guide - His name is Mong - did a very good job. Good english, very connecting (He tried to talk to everyone during the trip). We visited a local fisher, a lagoon and a sandy beach. Lunch was included in a price of 25$. We didn't expect too much, but were overwhelmed. The chef/captain used a 1m2 kitchen to mysteriously prepared a "feast". I can totally reccomend this agency to book a kayak tour within Lan Ha Bay

I had an excellent boat & kayaking trip with Ken and his team. It was the highlight of my trip in Vietnam. The service from the team is just excellent. The trip is done with a small amount of people so very good value for money. Kayaking experience was just brilliant! Ken was also great and he makes sure everyone is having a great experience & time. Gives info during the trip. I also loved when we stopped to visit one of the locals and his lovely home at the fishermen's village. The food was also amazing. It wasn't some Pasta and salad as you would expect from this sort of trips. Many varieties, papaya salad, oysters.. just yummy . I strongly recommend this trip and Ken's and his team's customer service.
