Sunrise at Mount Batur by 4WD Jeep
This no hassle, door-to-door service experience, will take you to explore the Batur Volcano in different way - via a 4WD Jeep! You will not go all the way to the summit for this experience, however the sunrise point of the caldera will provide you with some breathtaking views. If you prefer to reach the summit of Mount Batur, add ons available 45 minutes walking to summit.Going by Jeep will also give you an opportunity to see the otherworldly landscape of the black sand lava field. What to Expect Starting Point After your pick up at your hotel, you will meet your guide in a Kintamani village at the foothills of Mt Batur. From there you will get into your jeep along with your driver guide and will head up a dirt road to the caldera to meet the rising sun.Sunrise at the Caldera You will catch the sun coming up, providing gorgeous views of the surrounding volcanic mountains - Mt Agung, Mt Abang and Mt Batur itself as well as Lake Batur.Black Sand Lava Field On your way you will pass by villages, getting a glimpse of local life. Once you arrive at the black sand lava field it will be a truly incredible sight. The black sand appears to go on forever making the landscape seem like something from another planet. This is the remnants of the significant eruption back in the year 2000.Wrap Up You will finish up the day by heading back to the starting point. From here, if you choose, you can head to the hot springs to enjoy a relaxing hot water soak.

My wife will be 22weeks pregnant in July end and I want to book this tour for 23rd Jul. I will like to understand how bumpy the ride to the sunrise viewpoint. Also, can we add a location on way back - MONTANA DEL CAFE ? We are group of four people, can we fit in 1 jeep?
ankush , 06 Jul 2023
Hi Ankush, for safety reasons, we do not recommend that a pregnant woman join the trip, as the route is bumpy and rocky. We also suggest consulting with your obstetrician regarding this matter. If you're interested in the jeep and Montana Dek Cafe, we have the following option that you can consider:

For the jeep experience, we recommend using two jeeps if you have four passengers.
Hope that helps!
