Specially designed for all adventure seekers, this kayaking trip is the perfect introduction to the Pulau Ubin mangroves (no kayaking experience required)! Suitable for kids 4+ and up, under their parents' supervision. This experience is also pet-friendly (so long as your pet can fit in the kayak - ~20kg is still ok!). More DetailsThis option is one of the most comprehensive out there and good for kayakers of all levels (beginners welcome!). Halfway through your journey, you will beach up and get the chance to hike up to the tallest point in Pulau Ubin, Puaka Hill! For those who enjoy a great view in the morning and fancy instagram worthy pictures, we got you. Please Note: SerendipET provides open double kayaks, and has a limited number of single kayaks which are used only in the event there is an odd number of participants. Due to the nature of this activity, it's almost 100% chance you will get wet (including your trousers and shoes!). Please wear clothing that you don't mind getting wet. Child-FriendlyThis experience is suitable for children from the age of 4 and up, provided they know how to swim. Child life jackets will be provided. Pet-Friendly You can bring your pets on the kayak with you. Please do let us know when you book if you intend to bring your pet. Depending on the size of your pet (ie whether you’re ok squeezing with it on a kayak), you can have two dogs on a two person kayak. We have had customers bring their dog around 20kg on the kayak before - the general rule of thumb is that if you don’t mind squeezing with your dog on the kayak, it’s ok with SerendipET.Note: when bringing your pet across from Changi Ferry Terminal to Pulau Ubin Jetty and back, you must have your pet in a carrier while onboard the bumboat. Otherwise you may be denied permission to enter or be required to charter the entire bumboat rather than pay the usual per person fee. Frequently Asked QuestionsAre there crocodiles in the mangroves? There are usually no crocodiles towards the eastern side of Singapore, especially due to the high amount of traffic along the channel you will be at. Crocodiles spotted tend to be at the northern side of Singapore like Sungei Buloh as there is far less traffic in the water and the water is usually empty from human activities too. What time we should take the ferry from Changi Point Ferry Terminal so that we are on time to arrive at Pulau Ubin Entrance Jetty at 8.30am?The bumboats operate non-stop so you don't need to wait very long for one. We would advise being at Changi jetty about 25-30 mins before the meeting time at Pulau Ubin (allowing 10-15 mins max for waiting time, 10 mins for the bumboat ride)

Min 4 persons requirement:
Please note that this experience require a minimum of 4 persons to proceed. You may book for fewer than 4 persons, but if there are fewer than 4 persons booked for the date, you may be asked to reschedule to another date.

Eugene is a great guide! He is friendly and enthusiastic making this kayak trip at Pulau Ubin so memorable for us. He genuinely enjoys being on the water, paddling through the mangrove. It was great that he showed us how to enjoy that too. The seafood we bought from Ah Hua at the end of the trip was another highlight. Great “getaway” within Singapore. (We actually went back to the island the weekend after to get more of it!) Highly recommend this tour!

Eugene was the guide for our mangrove -Pulau Ubin kayaking trip. He has a fun and bubbly personality + he’s easy to approach so that you can ask him any questions you have during the trip. It was a pretty educational trip and he’s to willing to share what he knows! This could be anything from wild life that you may see, the kampung life, the islands. Anything! Overall the trip was fun cause of the guide and the group size was relatively small (about 6 of us) so we were taken care of quite nicely. For me, it’s always about the people that makes the trip better and overall it also felt like a short getaway from Singapore. The serene water and wild life to explore is something hard to get in the city life.

Hi, we have 2 adults, 1 youth. If one of the adults can't swim, can he still join the kayaking?
Yes as long as he's comfortable in the water in a life jacket! All participants may need to get in the water for a minute with the life jacket on to test if they're ok in the water for safety reasons. So you don't need to be able to swim, but just need to be comfortable in the water with a life jacket on just in case!
What's the arrangement for toilet breaks, especially for children while we are on the kayak?
Hi Ain, We would recommend doing it just before the activity, there will be no toilet break during the kayaking
Hi. I would like to gift this experience to someone. Can the recipient get a refund if the experience is not to their liking? Thanks!
Hi KK,  In that case, we recommend sending the recipient a gift card equivalent to the amount. They can choose any activity on Seek Sophie.
