Sekumpul is hands down the most beautiful waterfall in Bali. It’s also one of the biggest ones on the island. To see it up close requires a little bit of a hike but it's very much worth it! This trip will also take you to the ancient old Hindu temple of Ulun Danu perched right on the banks of Lake Beratan as well as for a trek through the UNESCO Heritage site of Jetiluwih Rice Terraces. What to ExpectPick Up You will be picked up from your hotel in Bali, then drive to Sekumpul Waterfalls. It takes about 2 - 3 hours to drive to Sekumpul, Bangli area depending on where you stay.Sekumpul Waterfall Once you arrived at the Sekumpul Parking lot, you will be greeted by a local guide that will take you through the jungle path to the waterfall. You will be visiting 2 waterfalls, the first one is the Hidden Waterfall. The path will be a fairly easy paved walkway and it should take you about 20 minutes to reach. Hidden Waterfall is pretty small, but it's a very picturesque one. If you are up for a swim, there is a great pool underneath the falls to enjoy and cool down in.Then you will head to the main attraction of the day – the Sekumpul Waterfall! As you approach the waterfall, you will get to take in some views from afar. One of the best picture opportunities is on top of the large rock in front of the falls with so many green leaves. Then you will trek back to the parking lot, and head back to the next place! You will stop at the Restaurant for Lunch (self-purchase) before going to the next location.Ulun Danu Water Temple Next, move to the Ulun Danu Water Temple. The temple is not only iconic for its magnificent lake and mountain views but also for its history as a place of worship for a Balinese river goddess and the Hindu god, Shiva. This temple has mesmerized the world with its majestic views. Jatiluwih Rice Terraces Travel next to the UNESCO heritage site of Jatiluwih Rice Terraces, offering the beautiful scenery of rice terraces with mountain fresh air. The cool highlands offer an exquisite vantage point of neighboring Balinese villages and an immersive natural atmosphere. Here you can do the trek (self-guided), even though It is a moderate trek, it is recommended that you wear sturdy shoes and bring plenty of water.Head Back Once you've finished up at Jatiluwih, you will be taken back to your hotel.
