Wayan and his family were incredibly welcoming and we loved cooking, exploring the property, and learning more about our their culture with them. The lab team taught us so much about fireflies and gave us a magical experience under the trees. Everyone should be so lucky as to have this experience once in a lifetime!

What a wonderful evening we had seeing the fireflies. Our host Wayan took us around the rice fields and explained the conservation they are doing in the area to help the firefly survive. We also had a tour of the organic farm and learned about the plants we could cook and eat, we then did some cooking in the kitchen and then we were served a delicious evening meal, the steamed banana with coconut was a great dessert. Our whole evening was very educational and a delight to be with this local family who are very passionate about nature, sustainability and the environment around them. This is a must do tour when you are in Ubud, Bali.

This is an informative and unique tour which is not to be missed. The family atmosphere and the openness and niceness of the hosts is very welcoming and makes you feel at home. The firefly experience is incredible and makes you really appreciate the animal itself. The research team are very friendly, knowledgeable and open to questions. Finally, the passion they hold throughout the whole tour makes you want to come back and see how their progress is.
