We had such an incredible time! The trek was a little challenging for us, but totally doable. We just aren’t used to the humidity of Bali (we are from a cold climate). Our guide made sure to stay at our pace, pausing and pointing out a good place to rest when we needed a break, and we still make it to the top with plenty of time to spare before the sunrise. The views were amazing, and our guide took amazing photos and videos of us while answering any questions we had. Bali Yok even went above and beyond, reaching out to us early to let us know another large group would be climbing the same time as us, offering alternative dates if we preferred a more private experience. Overall, we are so glad we decided to book this experience instead of the traditional Mt Batur trek. The breathtaking views and the less crowded caldera summit gave us the opportunity to take in the beauty without being surrounded by hundreds of others. We can’t wait to come back and book again with friends!

Would recommend wearing shoes with good grip like trail running shoes or hiking shoes. Guide checked in on the tough bits of the hike. We were fortunate with the weather such that we could actually see the sunrise.

We had such an incredible experience hiking up the mountain and the views at the top did not disappoint! We had a love driver, Jezu, and guide, Putu, who were not only incredibly helpful and patient but made it all about the experience vs quickly getting to the top. My husband and I were the only people on this trip and with only a handful of others at the top this felt like a private luxury tour 🤩 We enjoy a good run and decided to run sown the mountain at the end which resulted in a 20min down trek. This was a lot of fun! Would recommend for the trail runners out there. The only negative was as were were going up a gentleman joined the group, and he obviously knew the guide, and he kept pressuring is to buy water and bracelets. He was extremely pushy and as we were very much alone on this 1.5h trek with this man we did not want to cause any issues so we bought a water and bracelets wherever he left (this was already when we reached the top). This soured some of the excitement as it was such a nice trip but with almost no money on us and this guy being pushy, it did not feel very good. Overall would recommend the hike! As a note I did not see other hikers with more people than their guide with them so this seemed very coordinated and this guy tried to sell his stuff at the top to the other hikers. Maybe try another service for this hike if they are linked to these people cornering you on the mountain to buy from them.
