Such an incredible experience! Our driver picked us up promptly and our guide Putu was so lovely and kind. Putu has trekked the mountain countless times but still appreciates the beauty of the hike. The trek is a little tough but your effort is so rewarded when you reach the summit. Putting your hands over the active steam vents is so amazing and we were blessed with rolling clouds, sunset and a full moon to guide us back down. Putu knew all the best spots to stop and take photos and also how to keep us safe for the trickier parts of the trek. One of our favourite things to do in Bali and my now fiancé and I got engaged at the summit so it will always hold a special place in my heart.
