Visiting the firefly conservation center was an absolutely magical experience. Hearing the owner’s story about how he is trying to save the fireflies so generations after him can experience the beauty of fireflies in their natural habitat was truly inspiring. Our children learnt so much and enjoyed this experience so much. Eating a traditional Balinese dinner in the jungle was so special. Loved this and wish I could give more than 5 stars.

Our experience was really great - excellent communication, really friendly and informative team, beautiful nature, delicious homemade breakfast and there fact that it was a private tour. The weather wasn't in our favour so we couldn't really see a sunrise, but we loved it anyway and got to enjoy flying the drone, seeing local farming, sailing on the lake and chatting with locals.

A really unique and much more enjoyable way to see the sunrise. Had the whole mountain and the view to ourselves. And definitely the best view! Our guide, Wi, was brilliant - he made sure we were safe, going at our own pace and got some great photos for us. Definitely recommend!

The experience was surreal. The class was conducted in the family house of the host which made the experience very authentic. The grand mother and grand daughter duo were very welcoming, very humble, very patient during the class. Our conversation about Hindu rituals practiced in Bali and India were enlightening.
They appreciated my outfit -- I came wearing a sarong and shirt from my culture. On the whole, a beautiful experience.
It's worth it. They deliver all that is promised.

My partner and I had an unforgettable experience doing this alternative trek to Mount Batur. Fortunately the skies were clear and we enjoyed stargazing as we crossed Lake Batur in the boat early in the morning. What followed was a somewhat challenging trek, (we don’t do much hiking), with powerful head torches, but only took around 40minutes to reach the top for an incredible view of the mountains, Lake Batur and the coast as the sun rose. It was so beautiful and absolutely worth the hike!
We could see Mount Batur lit up and the many tourists that journey there, so we felt lucky to only be around a few other people and locals who helped with breakfast. It was also dark, which meant we had a wonderful view of the stars and landscape around us. The top of Mount Batur also became obscured by clouds soon after sunrise, whereas it stayed clear where we were at a lower altitude, which might be another benefit of this tour.
Breakfast served on the top was lovely and everyone we met was very friendly. We felt very cared for by our guides Wi and Nawa - thank you both so much! Nawa helped us to the top, talking to us about the local area and taking my regular breaks. He was also a fantastic photographer and has become very good at long exposure photos!
I was nervous about slipping coming down, but Wi was brilliant helping every step of the way. I wouldn’t hesitate to go again, albeit with grippier shoes! Highly recommend this trip.

I had a lovely time with my teacher, she's a lovely person, knowledgeable about Balinese culture - the whole experience was very very special.

Such an amazing experience with Darma and the team. It was a beautiful ride through farmland, rice, terraces, and villages with several stops along the way. Darma was so informative and welcoming, sharing with us both aspects of Balinese culture and agriculture, even with a stop at a firefly conservationist. It was a pure joy and a highlight of my trip to Bali.
