If I could review 10/5 stars I would !!!!! This was one of the most meaningful travel experiences I’ve come across. Nalom and yoga are incredibly passionate about community and nature, and they shared so much about life in Munduk and Indonesia. We ate fresh, local food grown in Munduk, trekked beautiful forests while understanding the environment along the way (how a white pepper plant tastes before its being processed, ginger flowers that can be used as shampoo, smelled fresh Pandan leaves, saw diff types of coffee plants), swam in the cleanest lushest waterfalls, ate SO WELL and were so hospitably taken care of at the campsites and all through out. Every part of this was incredible. Huge thank you to nalom, yoga and the getaway team! Huge shout out to nalom also: he is really the coolest!!! Everything he’s done here is so intentional. Down to packaging: all our food was hand packed in banana leaves and packaging was all biodegradable if it was disposable packaging. he’s also involved so much in meaningful work in the area, for example: organising for kids in schools in Munduk to visit forests to clean it up and build a respect toward nature. These trips also contribute to local families and businesses directly. Huge respect and feel more than happy to support getaway Bali. If ur considering this trip, don’t hesitate JUST GO ALR!!

This trip is a great adventure. From the pickup to the canoe-hike-lunch-waterfall swim - we really enjoyed the variety of activities in one day! Dodik and Butu were excellent drivers and guides. The canoe and rainforest guides were also knowledgeable and efficient. Lunch at Aunty’s was generous and delicious. And the waterfalls were a lovely cold plunge to calm the body and mind after an active day. A great 10 person family adventure and we will be keeping a couple of funny memories from along the way!

It was a pretty good trip. I think that I thought there would be a better value for what we were paying for the trip. We paid for 6 people (2 adults/4 kids). I think if we would have just paid for 2 adults the value would have been great, but since we paid nearly $500 USD it didn't seem to be a great value. That being said, all of the hosts and guides were amazing and I am glad to pay the money so hopefully they will get paid well for the trip. Pros: Amazing hosts Breakfast amazing Lunch was amazing Hike was very easy for kids and very informational which we enjoyed The boat ride was fun although short. The waterfalls were amazing! (challenging hike back up to the car with 4 kids) Cons: not great value boat was made of fiberglass not a true "dugout" as was mentioned in the listing

This was a really authentic experience. Trekking through the jungle was fantastic. Our guide was able to show us all kinds of natural fruits and uses for things found in the jungle. Our breakfast next to the lake was stunning and lunch was delicious. We enjoyed our trek down to the waterfalls, despite the fact that it was pouring rain. We would absolutely recommend this company again for their professionalism and a fantastic product

I loved my trip with the Getaway Camp. My driver Ryan was punctual and he was great at answering my constant questions. I loved eating fruit I’d never seen before at the traditional market and have a mad breakfast of fried bananas chocolate honey and cheese - delicious! And it was at a lookout with an amazing view. My guide through the forest, Comer was also very knowledgeable and interesting. He also had a great sense of humour! The forest was spectacular. Full of giant ficus and palms. A true rainforest!!! After the hike we paddled across the lake with the help of a strong and friendly woman Lunch was great. So tasty and exactly what I needed to refuel. I am so glad I chose to go with the Getaway Camp as it really does benefit local Munduk people. Thanks so much!!!

Explore the bit more unknown Bali. We did the Ancient jungle trekking and remote waterfalls experience and loved all elements of it. Our driver Rian introduced us to a local market on the way. We tried nearly all the different fruits and snacks. Nearly full we had a yummy breakfast with a view. Next stop rainforest with local guide Ilu who had grown up in the area and knew a lot about the plants and animals. In between we crossed the lake in a canoe, walked a bit further to our lunch in the village. Waterfalls were next. There were hardly any people there. Highly recommend the whole experience.

Highly recommend! Putu and the whole Getaway camp crew were amazing. So friendly, knowledgeable, accomodating and authentic. After pick up from Ubud we made a quick stop at a market for fresh fruit and then we were taken to a Warung on top of a ridge line for breakfast with an amazing view. We learnt a lot treking through a protected forest and the canoe trip back across the lake to basecamp was the highlight. After a short walk we we served a delicious and authentic meal at Getaway camp headquarters then were taken to the waterfalls. Even though it’ll the rain was bucketing down, it was beautiful and enjoyable (make sure you bring a rain jacket!).We were then driving back to Ubud with snacks and smiles.
