Challenge yourself and summit Mt Rinjani or just enjoy the epic views. 

Had a great time climbing Rinjani with my guide Bruno and porter Adi. Bruno’s enthusiasm was fantastic and really made the 2 days super special. Rudy’s guesthouse was also very incredibly welcoming both before and after the climb which helped make the whole trip seamless.

The adventure of a lifetime! Cannot recommend Rudy Trekker enough. Three days before I started the hike I got very sick, so I wasn't in great condition when we started. But our guide Kabul and his team of porters always made sure I was safe and supported. The tour company provides any and all equipment you might need on the trek. And the guesthouse you stay at on the first night is soooo nice. Huge and clean room with pools overlooking the jungle and ocean. The trekking was so difficult but so worth it. The most beautiful views I have ever seen. Watching the sunrise over the crater rim is a moment I will remember my whole life. And as a bonus, all the food in the trails was amazing!! Seriously impressed at how they whip up such delicious dishes in the wild. If you're considering hiking Rinjani, definitely go with Rudy Trekker!

But our guide Kabul and his team of porters always made sure I was safe and supported. The tour company provides any and all equipment you might need on the trek. Exploring Sendang Gile and Tiu Gelep with Siska was awesome. It was great getting an insider’s tour of a traditional village, having lunch in the rice fields and walking across the river to get to a really beautiful waterfall. Definitely say if you are in Senaru this tour is a must.

My Guide was excellent, she showed me around the village, and explained the local flora and fauna. She adapted the itinerary to me and used her initiative. I was very interested in the different fruits and plants that grew, and the views were stunning. Highly recommend booking a guide, the tour around the traditional village was also interesting!

My only comments were its very hot so make sure to take lots of water and wear a hat, and opt to start an earlier at 8am before the day gets too hot.

Honestly I think I was extremely lucky to have booked this trip with Rudy Trekker on Seek Sophie, it turned out to be an out of the world experience for me. I think November is a low season so the trip became like a private trip because I was the only trekker they had for a 2D1N crater rim hike package. My guide Dika was very profesional and attentive, I don't feel hurried in my hike, moreover, i'm not a seasoned hiker and absolutely did not train for this, I booked everything on a whim. So i was extremely grateful for Dika's patience and tolerance with my hiking speed. Then there's Adi, my porter. Words can't describe how incredible porters are. In addition to carrying loads that are insane heavy, hiking up the mountain, Adi prepared all these AMAZING MEALS along the hike.....which is mind blowing, it still feels surreal to me. This experience is so incredible that I have decided to join another hike next year! Till we meet again guys !
