We went to Labuan Bajo to see the Komodo dragons and made Plataran our base for a few days. This small resort sits on a beautiful, quiet beach and has a lovely, laid-back feel. Our two-storey 'villa' was well appointed and perfect for two adults and two kids. Although service can be a bit haphazard at times, the staff are very genuine, friendly and helpful. The resort has its own 'phinisi' sailboat which is the perfect way to go and see the dragons. Yoga in the morning and snorkelling off the jetty kept us busy at other time. However, it must be said that there is not much else to see outside the resort. Labuan Bajo is not a pretty town, so better be prepared to 'stay in' for a few days

We spent 4 magical nights here. The staff were amazing, everyone was so helpful, the food was great (mostly local) and the room was divine. The place is remote but the location is incredible!
For my boys this was a trip of a lifetime, we saw Komodo dragons, incredible snorkelling, hiked up Padar for amazing views & swam with manta rays.
Another highlight was the day trip organised by the resort which included a picnic in a treehouse on a private beach (yes, just us!) and Rangko Cave.

We stayed here 2 nights while visiting Komodo Island. The beach is right outside your front door. It was our wedding anniversary and they decorated our room in the most wonderful way. The hotel has a schooner that can be rented and the group we were with had not just rented the boat for the day to take us to Komodo Island to see the dragons but the hotel set up a fantastic gourmet lunch on a deserted island. Such luxury and service. Just loved the laid back atmosphere

Very nice and quite small resort just outside the side - close enough to port but far enough for peace and quite!
You can snorkel directly on the hotel beach, a lot of free of charge water sports like canoe and paddle and a beautiful sunrise point just 15 mins walking distance.
Very comfortable and relaxing rooms on the inside that combine well with rustic view on the outside.
Very good and quality food in both restaurants - just takes a little bit of waiting but the environment is pleasant to wait and enjoy a drink on with a beautiful beach view!

We had an amazing stay at the Plataran Komodo. Everyone was very accommodating to our needs and wants, and the location of the hotel is secluded with a beautiful view of the ocean and nearby islands.
When we arrived, our room was not ready yet so we were escorted to the spa for a free welcome massage. Then we had an amazing lunch at the restaurant. The activities coordinator Julius dropped by to say hi and asked if we wanted to do anything during our stay. Based on his recommendation, we went to Batu Cermin cave for the afternoon. Since we didn't want to visit the local traditional market, he kindly offered for us to try the local cuisine at a small restaurant instead. Afterward, he organized a private BBQ dinner on the beach. Honestly, it was a little dark and it was hard to see what we were eating, but the food was delicious and the portion was huge.
Next day they organized a 5 am breakfast for us, as we were going island hopping. When we got back, they prepared afternoon tea even though it was late, but they were happy to do it knowing that we just had a long day.
On our last day, they let us keep the room until 2 pm, which was very nice so we could relax in the morning and have another amazing meal in the afternoon.
Overall, we were very happy with the service at the hotel. Shoutout to Roni and Julius who made our stay very memorable, as well as the wonderful staffs at the restaurant.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Plataran Komodo. Our kids loved the pool, and the snorkeling, paddle boating and kayaking organised by the hotel at their beach.

The staff deserves a special mention - they were so accommodating of our food requests (thanks Ellin and Eggy) and provided tips on where to eat and what to do (thanks Pak Feri). The restaurant staff happily gave us a wonderfully packed breakfast early morning one day since we were going on a day long excursion. We enjoyed eating at both the restaurants. Atlantis on the rock has a relaxed atmosphere with good food.

We were first put in one of the smaller family villas which was lovely itself. We had some issue with the bathroom on the second day and were promptly shifted to the larger, more luxurious villa as they had availability and the bathroom problem couldn’t be solved quickly. We really appreciate that gesture.

We’ll be recommending this resort to our friends and hope to come back one day.

We stayed here for 3 nights. The accommodation is amazing with excellent service and friendly staff. Really good place to relax and do nothing. The two onsite restaurants could be better. The food was ok but nothing special.

Having stayed here for 10 days, have to say that this resort gives a very memorable experience to us.
We were very well taken care of from the day we were picked up from the airport till the day we left Labuan Bajo. Can't thank you all enough for the warm greetings, friendly & smiley service, and genuine sincerity from the Plataran Komodo team.. :-) And the food was great and delicious. The afternoon tea time & snacks were nice complimentary from the resort.

We love how the resort is ideally situated at Waecicu beach with its nice snorkeling spot right from the jetty.
We were able to spot many fish & healthily grown corals just around the jetty area and along the pier bridge during the day and enjoyed our night strolls along the pier while seeing sea urchins and school of fish given its clear sea water.

We truly enjoyed our stay here and will definitely come back again
