Escape to a remote paradise at Menjangan National Park
If you’re looking for a peaceful escape in nature without giving up on comfort, this 3-day stay at an eco-luxe resort in the heart of West Bali National Park is just the thing. Far from the usual crowds, you’ll be surrounded by protected forest, calm turquoise waters, and wildlife found nowhere else in Bali – including the endangered Bali Starling. This trip is all about connecting with nature in the most restful and immersive way.Unlike other beach resorts in Bali focused on parties and crowds, this one offers a proper retreat. You’ll snorkel right off your private jetty, hike through the jungle, learn Balinese traditions from friendly locals, and indulge in gourmet meals every day. For curious, mindful travellers and nature lovers, this isn’t just a stay – it’s an experience that blends nature, culture, and comfort seamlessly. This is perfect for couples looking for a romantic hideaway or travellers who want to slow down and soak in Bali’s raw beauty. Laklak looks like a small white pancake. It is usually served with grated coconut and melted palm sugar. Laklak is best eaten when it is hot. Dadar gulung literally means rolled pancake/omelette in English. It is a popular traditional snack of sweet coconut pancakes. The pancake usually has a green color, which is acquired from daun suji or pandan leaves.Mejejaitan ClassMejejaitan means Balinese leaves creation, often using coconut leaves, and normally will be used for ceremony purposes or simply for daily needs. The Plataran Menjangan team will be very happy to share with you how to make a simple Balinese offering ‘canang’ or ‘tipat’ base for rice dumplings. This activity will bring you true unique experience of daily life in Bali and challenge your creative side.Magical LolohLoloh in the Balinese language also means Jamu. Jamu is a traditional medicine from Indonesia. It is predominantly herbal medicine made from natural materials, such as roots, bark, flowers, seeds, leaves, and fruits. Loloh or jamu traditionally is believed to give a good impact on our health. Our team will be delighted to show you how to make this wellness drink.
