It was lovely spending time with Leksa Ganesha and folks working with him. You'll spend around 3 hours learning the basics of batik, how to use wax to outline your design, and then dying. Everyone is really lovely, talkative, and was great experience as part of our trip in Jogja.

This was a big highlight of our trip in Yogyakarta! We had such a creative day! Hanung and the Leksa Ganesha team were so welcoming, friendly and helpful to me and my husband. We made beautiful batik art, and we also cooked and ate very delicious Indonesian dishes. We even caught our own fish to eat when we were given a tour of the village to see the different foods that the community grows. We were given free mineral water, tea and coffee. We would highly recommend this experience and we would love to come back again in the future. We were there from 10am - 5pm, so you should allow a full day for this (perhaps 9am - 6pm) so you can take your time. Thank you Hanung and Leksa Ganesha for your hospitality!

Booked: A Day of Batik & Culinary Magic in a Local Village

This activity was really great. All the people there were lovely, especially considering I came with my 6 and 8 yo daughters. They made sure it was safe for them to use the hot wax. It does not really take 3hrs, more like 1h30-2h, unless you want to do a lot of details, which is quite difficult for beginners. But the place is nice to hang out a bit afterwards and chat with other people and take a coffee. This will probably be one of the highlights of our trip to Indonesia!
