A magical night exploring the universe, Balinese-style.
Most nights in Bali revolve around sunsets and cocktails. This one revolves around the universe. In this private stargazing experience in Bali, you don’t just look at stars - you understand them and how the night sky guides local life here. With real telescopes in a quiet, crowd-free setting, you’ll see Saturn and the Moon up close while learning how the night sky shapes Balinese myths, rituals and calendars. It’s for travellers who want to do something memorable, a little unexpected, and quietly mind-blowing.Best of all, every booking helps give back to the local community — supporting astronomy education for kids and environmental projects in local villages. So you’re not just experiencing the stars, you’re helping others discover them too. What to ExpectPrivate 2-hour stargazing experience surrounded by Bali’s natural beautyGuided session with a self-taught Astronomy enthusiast who’ll teach you how to use various telescopesLearn to read a real star map and spot celestial wonders like the Moon, Saturn’s rings, star clusters and possibly even planetsInsights into Balinese sky mythology and how astronomy is tied to local cultureEnjoy local coffee or a refreshing drink beneath the starsFun astronomy pocket guide and surprise goodies to take homeEnjoy a delicious dinner meal box under the stars, paired with light snacks to keep you energized throughout your stargazing experience. ✨🍱🌌Every experience gives back to the local community. 10% of profits go to local outreach – like beach cleanups and bringing astronomy education to Balinese villages and orphanagesGood to KnowThis is a private experience, so it’s just you and your group — no crowdsNo prior astronomy knowledge needed — beginners totally welcomeMeals are not provided, but you’ll be offered a complimentary beverage during the experienceProfessional portraits under the stars not included – available as an add-onRoundtrip Transport Arrangement not included - available as an add-onBring a light jacket — it can get a bit chilly at night!Enjoy white wine or red wine under the stars – available as an add-onIf the sky is cloudy, don’t worry—you’ll still immerse yourself in the wonders of the universe through a creative alternative: a guided space-themed painting activity inspired by astronomy📍 Stargazing LocationPlease select your preferred location from the list below and let us know in the notes section of the booking form.If no location is chosen, Balangan Beach will be set as the default.Balangan Cliff, Uluwatu – A scenic elevated cliffside location with dramatic ocean views (can be slightly windy)Gunung Payung Beach, Nusa Dua – Secluded, clean shoreline (this location requires pickup, as the exact stargazing spot is not listed on maps)Cemagi Beach, Seseh – A quiet, raw sandy beach ideal for couples and familiesSaba Beach, Gianyar – A Secret Savanna by the Sea. Meet your host

Gabrielle Tania started Astronomy Bali in 2022, but her love for the night sky goes way back. As a child, she’d spend hours gazing at the stars, curious but without access to a telescope. That changed years later at university in Malaysia, where she sparked something big — the school’s first astronomy club. After moving to Bali, Gabrielle wanted to create a quieter space amid the noise — somewhere people could simply look up and reconnect. Today, she runs stargazing nights and educational events that open the wonders of astronomy to everyone, especially kids. A portion of her work supports local villages and brings telescopes to children who might not otherwise get the chance.
