Review Body: Wow I don’t know what I want to start off! Let’s me say it was one of the best things I’ve decided to do. Well, my trip was a bit different than most people. I started the trip without a group so I kind of have a private trip. The first night I stayed at Ha Giang Eco Stone House. It was so beautiful! Family is so friendly the house is cozy and lovely. The first road trip I did the most tourists things but the time my guide took me to visit. It was no one there so it like a private trip. The night, I stayed in Toong Homestay, omg it was amazing place. What a view! Small village but full of love and simple life. Next day, it was a slow morning and meet the group at launch time. I believe the town call Yen Minh, it’s definitely my favorite restaurant so far of the trip. After, meeting the group we drove to the camping site. The road to get there was not easy so don’t be surprised but the view it worth every bit of it. Hotpot night is a must for the cold weather and a cool place. Morning of the view and kayaking was beautiful. I spent my morning there and then kind of finished up the rest of the trip. The road was misty very misty, and the ride was freezing cold. In the end I love it!
For whoever is looking for the perfect trip like this, please see my suggestion:
- Be prepared for the cold and wet conditions.
- Pack light, but make sure you have your jacket, pants (winter pants or raincoat).
- Have gloves with you
- Take some rest a long the way
- Your butt is going to hurt so much but it will get better when you see the view.

Review Body: Very well organized trip. Phuong (or Phoebe) maintained consistent, clear communication with me from the beginning. She gave me some options for the tour since I was the only one who signed up for camping experience. We remained connected via WhatsApp, as I was traveling via car, bus and shuttle bus to get to Ha Giang from Hanoi. When I arrived in Ha Giang, she messaged me before I could message her first, I really appreciated her staying on top of the schedule. She welcomed me to the lodge where I was able to rest and prepare for the day. My tour guide for the loop, hiking and camping experience was Pao. He is a sincere, professional, respectful and friendly guide. I was very happy that he was my tour guide since he is one of the few ethnic Hmong guides in the area. He made me feel safe throughout my journey, gave me lots of information and history, took amazing photos, we laughed a lot and he paid attention my needs. Honestly I wouldn't change anything about the experience because as a tourist I'm traveling with the mindset that sometimes you have to go with the flow and embrace the experience for what it is and not what it could be. I would highly recommend this tour if you are looking to beat the crowds of usually 15-40 tourists who participate in the partying aspect when they do the loop. Also, the experience of staying at the campsite by the river was just incredible. Also, all the meals I had were delicious! This is definitely one of my top 2 highlights of my trip to Vietnam!

Review Body: Hagiang is quite heavily touristed, and this definitely took us away from the crowd and made our trip feel so special. This was legitly one of our best travel experiences ever, and we travel q a fair bit. Super well planned!!!! I cannot emphasise this enough. Everything was incredibly well paced, not too chill, yet highly productive. Can’t believe it only took 3 days! While the mountains can get repetitive, our path took us to see a good variety of things. Every day was new. Also it was really adventurous but we never felt uncomfortable: towels were provided each swim, every accommodations had hot water for shower and some even soaps, beds were really clean and comfortable we slept like babies. The mountain ranges here are incredibly beautiful and camping by the river was definitely the highlight, there are super sweet doggos at the site too. An extremely huge thanks to NoVang our guide, very principled and warm dude who connected to us, moved at our pace, ordered AMAZING food for us, made sure we had everything in check at every step of the way. We are absolutely floored by hagiang and this crazy gem of an itinerary ❤️

Review Body: I had an incredible experience with Ha Giang Expeditions and would highly recommend them to anyone considering the Ha Giang Loop.
I was nervous going into the trip, but from the very beginning Aly’s leadership put me at ease. The small group size made the experience feel personal, relaxed, and much safer than I had expected. Aly was organized, supportive, and made sure everyone felt included throughout the journey.
The Easy Riders were truly exceptional. They were skilled, professional, and always made sure everyone felt safe and comfortable. They were also incredibly kind and ready to help with anything, whether it was carrying bags, taking photos, or simply checking in to make sure everyone was doing well.
The scenery was absolutely breathtaking, but what really made this trip unforgettable was the people. Thanks to Aly and the amazing Easy Riders, what started as something I was anxious about became one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. If you’re thinking about doing the Ha Giang Loop, and don’t want the big party vibe, I can’t recommend Ha Giang Expeditions enough!

Review Body: I joined the "3D3N Ha Giang Adventure" at the end of January 2025 and had a great time! Thanks so much to Phuong (from Ha Giang Expeditions) and Chang (Driver/Guide).
This tour really does take you off the beaten path and away from the large groups (which you'll only encounter at some of the viewpoints). You take some smaller routes and it's a real exhilarating ride!
It was just me and 1 other traveller. We got to experience the full range of weather: Day 1 was a little hazy, Day 2 was sunny (perfect for waking up at the campsite/kayaking), Day 3 was foggy (with a little rain). Travelling this time of year, you may get to see some beautiful spring blossoms.
The homestays (Eco Stone House) were amazing. The food was also great. The campsite is also excellent -- there's a full bathroom (hot shower/toilet) and even a power outlet up to your tent.
For Night 3 in Dong Van, the campfire and traditional dances take place on Saturdays or Weekends (if you can time your trip to it), but you'll still have a great time going out for Karaoke on a Weekday.

Review Body: Hands down one of the best experiences of my life. You get the best of everything — all the highlights of the classic Ha Giang Loop, plus the adventure of hiking through the mountains, kayaking and camping along Nho Que river. The tour guide & easyriders were all wonderful, I was lucky enough to have a female easyrider who took great care of me. The group often takes "secret routes" where there are literally no other motorbike groups, through the most beautiful farm villages, rice terraces, and karst mountains. It is the most beautiful scenery I've ever seen. All the home stays (and the glamping!) were exceptionally nice. However, the biggest bonus was the food, which blew me away every time. And thankfully no one in my group had any trouble with food poisoning (which is a common trouble on the loop).
If you're looking for a more adventurous, and less party-based, experience, I cannot recommend this tour enough. I would do it again in a heartbeat. It'll for sure be a core memory.

Review Body: This was a fantastic Ha Giang loop tour! I loved that the days were broken up with hiking/kayaking on day 2 and less time on the bike than days 1 & 3. Our head guide, Cha, did a great job of taking us to some of the popular photo spots mixed in with more off the beaten path locations that weren’t crowded. Would highly recommend!
One note if you’re coming in from Sapa: the sleeper bus drops off outside of Ha Giang and then you get on a separate minibus to take you to the first homestay. The homestay is a little bit further out from the main town where most other tourists stay, so we rode the minibus for about an hour and were the last ones to be dropped off. Not a complaint, but just posting for awareness because we were a bit confused on what was happening at the time! Others in our tour group who came from Hanoi were dropped off near the homestay by the sleeper bus, so this seems to be exclusive to the Sapa transportation.

Review Body: We had an amazing tour led by Noh Vang. First off, he and his family of riders (yes, they're all related!) prioritized safety and drove carefully - which I appreciated. You could tell that he enjoys his job and cares about helping his guests have a good time.
As others mentioned, this itinerary helps you avoid the large groups and gives you a few additional experiences that bring you off the beaten track, like a trek, cave swim and a campsite by the river. Noh is also good at timing the itinerary to avoid most other tourists even at the quieter spots. We added the extra day and are so glad we did: it enabled us to venture off the main roads and experience glimpses of everyday local life and some "off the map" vistas, along with our favorite homestay and best dinner! Definitely recommend anyone already making the trip add the extra day: it's likely this will be the highlight of your trip to Vietnam.

Review Body: I had an incredible time doing the loop through Seek Sophie. As someone who had never been in a motorbike before, I was a bit nervous before, but the tour guide Aly made me feel really comfortable and I trusted him fully. It was the best tour I've ever done, going off the tourist route to see local villages, campsite, kayaking, hiking and swimming at the waterfall on our last day. I'm so grateful to Aly and the easy riders for showing us their hometown, having local guides who are clearly proud of their heritage and culture was amazing - so many great stories shared over happy water and tasty food!
Communication with the tour company helped throughout whenever I did have questions on the plan. We were a small group of 3, which made it feel unique (and sometimes meant we could go routes the big tours couldn't). Highly recommend - thank you so much!

Review Body: Every day of the trip had it's own quirks, the places you see, the people you meet, the places you stay at, the food you eat; everything comes with it's own unique charm.
A life changing experience, one that grounds you and makes you appreciate everyone and everything around you. Grateful to have had such an experience.
My guide/driver was Mr. Novang, he spoke fluent English, was well versed with the roads on the motorbike and accommodated each one of my needs. He's in this line of work because it truly brings him joy. He constantly checks on you to make sure you're doing well, and tends accordingly. Glad to have gotten to do the tour with him.
All the stays I'd been to were clean, welcoming and comfortable. The food was exquisite everywhere. You'd be surrounded by greenery and mountains for most of the loop, make sure to take a camera with you!

Review Body: This Ha Giang Loop experience was absolutely the highlight of our entire trip. Definitely not to be missed if you love nature or adventure! And having the easy riders was hands down necessary, I would not even want to go by myself even if I could ride a motorbike because then you get to relax and really take in the views and snap photos. The coffee shops we stopped along the way are so amazing too! This was so fun to do as a group of friends.
So well planned so smooth - from ride to accommodation to food to accommodation to ride, we were just being literally shuttled around so you can really focus 110% on experiencing life.
The food was amazing and accommodations were great as well. Love the eco stone houses and I loveeee the campsite!! It was just so well curated. 10 out of 10 don't miss this off-beaten Ha Giang Loop experience!

Review Body: We chose this tour because the kayaking + camping caught our eye, and we were also looking for a smaller group vibe that’s less crowded with more outdoor activities. Safe to say it totally delivered, and we LOVED it!
The itinerary was really well planned, and the camping + kayaking day was the highlight for us. We actually thought we’d be pitching our own tents, so it was such a nice surprise to end up in a beautiful glamping setup instead. Beds were clean, pillows were comfy & toilets had hot water! The views from the campsite was also soooo stunning.
The guides were super attentive and took great care of us the entire time. Big shoutout to Che and the drivers for making the whole experience such a fun and memorable one. I’d highly recommend going with Ha Giang Expeditions if you’d like something more curated and personal. <3

Review Body: I loved my experience in the Ha Giang Loop and my driver Tung made everything fun, safe, and comfortable as a solo female traveler. He was incredibly professional and kind and went out of his way to make my experience the best. I would recommend to pack clothes for colder/rainy weather and hot weather as I had both extremes in my 3 days. A pair or two of long pants and a light sweater saved me from freezing when the rain came unexpectedly. They also provide rain protection if needed so that is great as well. Also it is so important to bring your own sunscreen as there isn’t many convenient places to grab some along the way, I wore 50spf and still got burnt. Overall, booking through Seek Sophie streamlines everything and makes it all simple. I loved the adventure and would 100% recommend it for anybody who is able.

Review Body: We had an amazing time with Ha Giang Expeditions. We have been away for a year and it was one of the highlights of our whole trip! We are a couple and were in a group with 2 other travellers which was the perfect size and we had so much fun together. Our guide, No, was really organised, relaxed and great fun. My driver, Cha, was so friendly and made me feel really safe. It is a great mix of riding, amazing views and activities - we loved the hiking, kayaking and of course the plentiful supply of happy water. We are vegan and were very well catered for, all of the food was delicious. The owner of the company stays in regular contact and makes sure that everything runs really smoothly with the bus transfers etc so there's no stress. Would 100% recommend!

Review Body: I had an unforgettable time on the loop and missing it already! The views were absolutely breathtaking and I really enjoyed when we went off the main route to smaller streets and through villages. You could tell the tour was tailored to get us off the main tourist path as often as possible, which I really appreciated. I added the extra day and the highlight for me was
after we split off from the bigger group, so I highly recommend extending as you see some amazing landscapes and villages on those days and go to a beautiful bamboo rafting place! I really didn’t want the tour to end and wish I booked it for even longer.
Our guide No Vang was really organized and my easy rider Say was really kind and made me feel safe and taken care of.

Review Body: Just had the most wonderful time with ha Giang expeditions. We visited a lot on the way and many non toeristic sights seeing what makes this companies so special. They took me in like a family member En shared there story with me. Every night we drank holy water and eat really good. I'm vegetarian, but that was zero of a problem. First night we slept in a really nice hotel that must have been like 5 stars and the second in a tent looking at the river running through the mountain in other words just amazing. All togheter is was just awesome and for sure the highlight of my vacation in Vietnam. If you like small groups, going to non toeristic places and great people. This is the best one to book.

Review Body: Highlight of my time in Northern Vietnam! Amazing views and great company all throughout this experience.
The riders are really friendly and it’s nice that we got to have dinner together with them on the last night too. They knew all the good photo spots along the way since they had a rider who was also a photographer/videographer.
Good to pack lighter and bring a day bag for this trip as they strap down your larger bag(s) to the back of the bike and while accessible, its still pretty troublesome if you need to access things.
The rides between locations were also broken down into shorter legs (anywhere from 15-30 mins for the longer legs) so its easier for us as pillion riders.

Review Body: Amazing Ha Giang Loop Tour
We had an unforgettable experience on the Ha Giang Loop, booked through @seeksophie and managed by @hagiangexpeditions. Our guide, Sinh, was vibrant, informative, and fun, with good English. He introduced us to hidden gems of Vietnamese food and culture, making us fall in love with the country’s beauty and heritage.
The views throughout were stunning, and we were lucky to witness an incredible sunset on our last day. Our accommodations were comfortable, and everything was well-arranged.
A big shoutout to our easy rider, Duy, who made the rides smooth and fun. Highly recommended for anyone seeking an adventure of a lifetime!

Review Body: The trip gave us an opportunity to see an authentic side of Northern Vietnam through cultural villages, home stays and local spots away from the tourist trail. Our guide spoke fantastic English and was able to provide insight into all the stops we made as well as sharing generational stories. The homestay was amazing, we had a really comfortable room and felt very looked after, plus the food was excellent and we were never left hungry! Be prepared to do a bit of trekking but it’s always worth it with the incredible views. We were able to take lots of regular breaks on the longer drives so we felt very comfortable the whole time.

Review Body: Initial home stay in genuine Vietnamese village with basic but good accommodation. Great fun driving the loop as a motorbike pillion passenger. Nice small group . Day 2 a bit different nice walk, exciting bumpy ride down to river for paddling & swim & glamping, lovely barbecue outdoors with our fellow travellers & drivers. Day 3 some back road driving off the beaten track & good stops. Was it great fun yes ! Would we do another tour elsewhere definitely yes ! Did it with our 20 & 28 year old children while in our 60s , so age no barrier. Though was relieved to have survived the day 2 scary track, be warned.

A slower Ha Giang trek through rice terraces and local villages
If you’re doing the Ha Giang Loop and want a deeper nature day before or after the ride, this is a great add-on. Instead of only seeing Ha Giang from a motorbike, you’ll walk through rice terraces, green valleys, and quiet Tay villages on foot. The scenery has the same kind of layered rice-field feel that draws people to Sapa, so if that’s on your list, you can get a similar experience here without adding another stop to your trip. This trek is best for travelers who want more time in nature and more real contact with local communities. Around midday, you’ll reach Lung Vai Village for a picnic or, when possible, a home-cooked meal with a Dao family. That slower village time adds an extra sense of fulfillment beyond the Loop itself.Later, you’ll continue to Ha Thanh Village and Number 6 Waterfall for a softer, more relaxed finish to the day. With a local guide, transfers, water, and entrance fees included, it’s an easy way to turn your Ha Giang stay into something more immersive without needing to plan another big side trip. What to Expect8-hour join-in trek starting from Ha Giang City at around 9:00 AMWalk through terraced rice fields, lush valleys, and peaceful Tay villagesTime to connect with local families along the routePicnic lunch or, when available, a home-cooked meal with a Dao family in Lung Vai VillageContinue to Ha Thanh Village and visit Number 6 WaterfallEnd the day at Thon Tha HomestayIncludes local English-speaking guide, water, car pick-up and drop-off, and entrance feesGood to KnowA good add-on before or after the Ha Giang Loop if you want more nature and walking timeBest for travelers comfortable with a full day of walking on uneven village paths and gentle slopesLunch format depends on the day’s arrangementsBring sturdy walking shoes, sun protection, and a light rain layer
