Review Body: The cruise was really nice. We were in Bai Long Bay, so there were fewer tourists. The boat was new, and the quality was definitely better than the others we'd seen. The food and activities were also very good.

Review Body: A fantastic experience: a 2-day cruise with an overnight stay and plenty of activities, which you can, of course, opt out of. Our highlight: the freestanding bathtub overlooking Bai to Long Bay.

Rare Halong cruise that goes to Bai Tu Long Bay - least crowded!
This is one of the few cruises that goes into Bai Tu Long Bay - the most hidden and least crowded bay of the Halong bay region, much like what Lan Ha Bay once was, back when it was still a well-kept secret. And this brand-new cruise (just launched in October 2025) takes you to this untouched part of the bay. While most cruises go for sleek, modern designs, this cruise brings back the charm of old-world Indochina - complete with carved wood furnishings, cultural touches, and soft heritage tones. You’ll feel like you’ve stepped back in time as you sail past dramatic limestone cliffs, explore Thien Canh Son Cave, kayak in calm waters, and visit the nearly-forgotten Vung Vieng Fishing Village. There’s even the chance to wear a traditional Vietnamese long dress (áo cổ phục) and enjoy a live folk music performance on board. This is perfect if you're someone who wants something more intimate, authentic, and far from the usual crowds. Plus, it's new, so you'll be one of the first few to step on board! What to ExpectEnjoy the peaceful beauty of Bai Tu Long Bay – the new hidden gem as Lan Ha gets busierVisit Thien Canh Son Cave, perched high above the bay with epic viewsKayak among quiet limestone islets and enjoy a swim away from the crowdsTry on a traditional Vietnamese long dress for unique photos on the deckSavour a gourmet set dinner featuring lobster and local specialtiesWatch a mini folk music show on board with traditional instrumentsExplore Vung Vieng Fishing Village by bamboo boat and get a glimpse of traditional fishing lifeStart your morning with Tai Chi as the sun rises over the bayGood to KnowThis is a brand-new cruise launching in October 2025 - be among the first to experience itOnly 24 cabins onboard, perfect for a more relaxed and personalised experienceTransfers between Hanoi and Halong Bay are not included (can be added separately)Short uphill hike to Thien Canh Son Cave – wear good walking shoesStandard room setup: Double or Twin. Meet your host

This cruise is thoughtfully run by the seasoned team who’ve been navigating the waters since 2011. Instead of the crowded routes of Halong Bay, they take guests off the beaten path to the peaceful stretches of Bai Tu Long Bay. It’s all about quiet coves, stunning limestone cliffs, and glimpses into local life in fishing villages. The boats are stylish yet comfortable, the service is attentive, and the pace is intentionally relaxed. With carefully planned itineraries and a focus on privacy, Cycad offers a more personal way to experience this beautiful part of Vietnam.
