Itinerary Summary: Khao Na Nai Luang pagodas Ban Nam Rad kayak and Optional Cheow Lan Lake cruise
Itinerary Description: 8:30 AM: Private pick-up from your hotel in Khao Sok. Drive about 1 hour through rubber and fruit plantations to Khao Na Nai Luang, a little-known forest monastery about built by local villagers since 1998, where pagodas perched on jungle-covered limestone peaks seem to float above the valley. 9:30 AM: Walk through the Buddhawadi Gate and climb to the floating pagodas. Your guide takes you up the stairways and forest paths between the pagodas, sharing the story of the place as you go. Stop for photos at the stone bridge and pool in front of the laterite pagoda, and take in the views from the top. 10:30 AM: Drive to Ban Nam Rad in Khiri Rat Nikhom district. 11:30 AM: Local lunch at a nearby family-run restaurant. 12:45 PM: Walk the wooden boardwalk into Ban Nam Rad Headwater Forest, then paddle a kayak along the clear blue-green spring under the trees. 2:30 PM: If you don't book our Cheow Lan Lake Tour add on, your program ends here and the guide will drive you back to your hotel. Expect to arrive your hotel in Khao Sok around 3:30 PM. If you book our Cheow Lan Lake Tour add on, 2:30 PM: Drive to Cheow Lan Lake (about 40 minutes to 1 hour). 3:30 PM: Board a long-tail boat at Ratchaprapha Dam for a 2-hour cruise on Cheow Lan Lake. Weave between limestone karsts rising straight out of emerald water to the "Guilin of Thailand" viewpoint and the iconic Sam Kloe ("Three Friends") rock pillars, then watch the sun set over the lake before heading back to the pier.light softens. 5:30 PM: Head back to your hotel. 6:30 PM: Expect to arrive your hotel in Khao Sok.

Chai neemt reizigers al zo’n 15 jaar mee door het regenwoud van Khao Sok. Hij groeide op vlak bij Surat Thani, waardoor de paden van het park, het meer en de dierenwereld behoren tot wat hij het beste kent. Na jarenlang voor andere organisaties als gids te hebben gewerkt, begon hij voor zichzelf, zodat hij zijn tochten doordachter kon vormgeven — rustiger, flexibeler en met meer aandacht voor het echt begrijpen van het woud. Meestal begeleidt hij de tochten zelf, waaronder een trektocht met overnachting over een dieper gelegen pad dat maar weinig gidsen gebruiken. Ook leidt hij jonge gidsen uit de lokale gemeenschap op en geeft hij dezelfde zorgvuldige, rustige manier van werken door.
