Review Body: A Perfect Adventure: Worth Every Penny This experience was a solid 10/10 and worth every penny. The tour team took exceptional care to ensure our safety, providing thorough safety briefings before each destination. We also appreciated the ample time given at each stop, allowing us to relax and enjoy ourselves fully. This was a key factor in choosing this tour, as we wanted more than just 15-20 minutes at each location. Padar Island Our adventure began with a speedy boat trip to Padar Island. It’s a busy spot, but if you start early, you can beat the rush. Once on the island, there's limited shade, so be prepared to move quickly to avoid baking in the sun. The view from the top is breathtaking, though be mindful of others waiting for their turn to take photos. If you encounter inconsiderate people taking too long with their photos, don’t hesitate to politely but firmly ask them to move along so everyone can enjoy the view. After capturing the stunning vistas, we moved to a quieter viewpoint next to the only tree, which offers equally impressive photo opportunities. Pink Beach Next up was Pink Beach. While the sand's color may not be as dramatic as some enhanced photos suggest, it’s still a beautiful and unique spot. The beach is home to small, harmless dragons, and the water is crystal clear with silky smooth sand. Interestingly, the sand releases millions of bubbles when disturbed. Though fish are scarce due to beachgoers and boats, there are vendors offering snacks and souvenirs. Komodo Island Komodo Island was a major highlight of our trip. It’s important to come prepared with water, as the trek through the woods can be hot. We were lucky to spot 5-6 dragons, including a giant one named John Kennedy. Despite rumors, these dragons are not drugged; they are naturally lethargic like other large lizards. We witnessed John’s predatory instincts when he stood up and hissed loudly after noticing a girl running to catch up with her group. This startled everyone as it highlighted his readiness to react to potential prey. After the tour, we enjoyed a provided lunch and bought a refreshing coconut and a cheap hat from local vendors. Supporting the local community is always a good idea. Taka Makassar Taka Makassar was the highlight of our entire trip. This remote, exquisite area boasts white sand and crystal-clear water. Baby sharks are a common sight, making it one of the world's best beaches to simply enjoy and relax. Snorkeling Spots The final part of our journey included two snorkeling spots. A waterproof case for your phone is a must; we missed out on capturing incredible moments. The waters were teeming with large turtles, some swimming right beneath us. While manta rays were present, they stayed deeper and moved quickly, making them harder to see up close. Nonetheless, the abundance of marine life was impressive, especially compared to other tours we took during our trip where sightings were scarce. This tour is an outstanding value, being EXTREMELY cheap compared to others while delivering a far better experience. The boat might look more impressive in photos than in person, and I did hear a few grumblings from other passengers. However, the real focus is on getting you to these incredible destinations quickly and efficiently, which they accomplish perfectly. The ride can get a little bumpy, so be sure to take some motion sickness pills and just relax – you’re in good hands and you will thoroughly enjoy this adventure.

Review Body: The fantastic crew especially Heri ❤️ who is absolutely outstanding as an informative tour guide, an excellent photographer whose expertise makes the difference. He is a beautiful person. He positioned me, directed me to a good pose up on the summit of Padar Island to get THE best, the most magnificent photo of my 1 month trip. I felt confident in his presence snorkelling after an unsafe snorkelling experience off Gili T where we were dropped into a current that took us >200m from the boat in a minute & had to get back by ourselves swimming against the current. We are both Aussies that grew up swimming, surfing & snorkelling we are strong swimmers but gee that was a very difficult, arduous & long swim to get back to the boat. Alexandria Cruises are by far much better, safe & come with you. I never once felt unsafe or in trouble with them. It was just a wonderful magnificent experience. The whole glorious trip is still looping in my mind like a video on constant play. I absolutely adored this trip. It was my birthday gift to myself & I’ve never ever had as good nor memorable birthday as this one. I appreciated the information by all Tour guides it was very informative complete & thorough. The whole experience by Alexandria Cruise crew made the day a remarkable & outstanding one. Getting to Padar Island, the first stop just after sunrise was excellent as the first group were starting to come down & it wasn’t crowded for our group. There were not strangers in my photos. Heri captured the best photos for me which I will cherish & I appreciate because I was alone in this tour group. I was grateful that I was coming down as the sun was blazing because it was very hot no breeze until position five the second last one. I had cold water so I could splash it on myself to keep cool that it made it much easier. I can’t recommend Alexandria Cruises more highly & it’s their crew that make it great. We had no idea, no recommendations we booked this cruise blindly & I’m really happy that we lucked out getting this cruise group not any of the others that were coming along behind us in the blazing heat not all of them would’ve made it to the summit of Padar Island. The Komodo Island the pink sand was amazing. The aqua colour of the water crystal clear was magnificent. Another highlight was we met Komodo dragons., I was able to get a photo with one, I think they came out for my birthday to appease me, we saw 4 & I am delighted. Snorkelling with the Mantas was fantastic. I have done this off Nusa Lembongan years ago but this was much better, not even close! I loved the simple touches like Heri giving me a coconut water & coffee as my birthday gift 💝 These memories I will cherish. I enjoyed my birthday in exceptional surroundings with magnificent experiences & lovely people, thank you. The whole day was just divine. I can’t recommend Alexandria cruises more highly. ❤️🤩❤️

Review Body: This trip was the prefect day trip exploration. When booking I was hesitant to start so early but it worked out perfect as you get to Padar Island at the prefect time in the morning to beat the crowds for unspoiled views. You arrive just as the sunrise climbers are coming down so we had views all to ourselves. By the time we came down there was many boats filled with tourists arriving and hundreds of tourists starting the climb!! Again we arrived at pink beach early and had the beach to ourselves. At Komodo island we got lucky and saw 3 Komodo dragons. After lunch you continue on to the sand bar (it was high tide when we got there so sand bar was mostly covered) and then snorkeling at 3 different spots. It was rather windy the day we went so I chose not to go snorkeling but others said the manta rays were amazing. Our guide Henry was amazing and looked after us perfectly. He was really knowledgeable and made the day fun. If there was anything negative about this trip it was the lunch that was served. I had noticed plastic containers sitting on the boat in the heat all morning. When lunch time came around we were served a plastic container with rice, battered chicken, vege salad and a pot of jelly. I was a little reluctant to eat it knowing it was sitting in the heat all morning. My suggestion if you’re a little fussy like me is to bring your own snacks to eat throughout the day. Other than the lunch I am so happy I booked this trip through seeksophie as we got to see incredible sights and beat the crowds at every spot we stopped. I definitely recommend the early start as your about 2hrs ahead of every other tour group that arrives to visit these beautiful sights

Review Body: The overall experience was great! My partner and I enjoyed it a lot. The tour started with pick-up from the hotel at 5:25am and we were sent back to the hotel by 4pm. Bottled water, coke, watermelon and bread were provided on the cruise, and we had bento lunch at the Komodo Island. Even though the bento was cold and the rice was dry, it didn’t bother us at all. We were very lucky because we managed to see 6 Komodo dragons, 2 turtles, 6 manta rays, 1 baby shark and some really beautiful corals and fishes! What we liked about the tour: - The duration of the whole tour was just nice. - Time spent at each location was more than enough and didn’t feel rushed. - Experienced and friendly tour guides. - We arrived at each location either before or after the large crowd, which was really nice. But that also means that you won’t be able to catch sunrise on Padar Island because the sun had already risen when we got there but that was fine with us. - We were quite lucky that all of the other participants of the tour were punctual and respected each other. That made the entire experience even more pleasant. Areas for improvement: - It would be great if the guides could provide some key safety tips before snorkelling because there may be some first time snorkelers who may not know what they don’t know (e.g., who needs life jacket, breathing in shallow water first, how to prevent mask from fogging up, how to clear water out from snorkel tube, etc) All in all, everything was great and would recommend this tour for anyone interested in doing a day trip when you’re in Labuan Bajo :)

Review Body: My wife and I are world-wide, full-time travelers. We have enjoyed many excursions around the world. Some good, some not so much. Our Alexandria Cruise ranks at the top of the list. Our experience actually began when we were initially inquiring about this excursion and had numerous and lengthy WhatsApp chats with the owner of Alexandria Cruise, Warren. Warren took the time - and patience - to answer my many questions about this day trip. This set a very positive tone for my wife and I. And the excursion itself was just as Warren claimed from the early morning hotel pickup to returning us to our hotel at the end of the day. The fast boat itself and equipment (snorkeling gear) were in excellent condition which further gave us reassurance that we had selected the right cruise company. Fano and his team were top-notch professionals! It was clear that they wanted all the guests to really enjoy themselves, but they were also highly attentive to ensure everyone was safe. This was important to us. They communicated with the guests regularly so everyone understood the day's activities and that safety was paramount while on the boat, in the water, or during the hikes or Komodo dragon experience. They were ever-present interacting with each guest which really enhanced the trip. Their easy-going personalities really enhanced our experience! Warren has built something special with Alexandria Cruises and it clearly shows with his team. We highly recommend Alexandria Cruise and look forward to a future visit!

Review Body: This experience was amazing. Firstly, the team looking after us throughout the day were clearly passionate about what they do but also really helpful with any questions or problems you may have and were fantastic hosts. They gave you good information about what to expect at each place and were particularly great whilst guiding us around the snorkelling spots. They would help anyone who was struggling to keep up with the group or having issues with their gear to ensure that no one missed out on seeing anything during the experience. The tour of the Komodo national park itself was great, the guides were very knowledgeable about the dragons and other nature on the island and they always made sure to stop to point out to us anything we would have otherwise missed - we saw 5 dragons, a large venomous spider and a blue viper (although I think we were incredibly lucky in this respect). The snorkel spots themselves again were amazing (although again I think we may have got incredibly lucky). We saw baby reef sharks, a lot of manta rays and a couple of huge sea turtles. Lunch on the park was pretty good as well, better than other boat excursions I’ve had that included lunch. We also got chocolate bread as a snack on the way back to Labuan Bajo after a long day. The boat is a tad cosy but it’s completely fine. The point of it is to get you between each stop as quickly as possible to maximize your time there, which it does. Overall, could not recommend this day enough!

Review Body: If you’re looking for a trip where you don’t actually have to plan anything just sign up. This is a place to go. They do all the heavy lifting for you and provide an excellent trip for what I consider an excellent value. I paid I can’t remember between 80 and US$85 for this. They picked me up at my hotel at 5:30 in the morning. That was quite a nice added value, that was included in the fee. You also have to pay the entry fee into Komodo national park I paid 450,000. IDR , you need cash for this bring the cash. I did the trip at the end of the January during the crazy rain season, but the weather was exceptional. The only time we experience rang was when we had lunch, which was a covered venue so actually never got caught in any rain. I guess we got lucky because we had an amazing day. We saw five Komodo dragons. I stopped counting at 25 Matas rays and one big sea turtle. The boat guides were super absolutely no complaints. My one piece of advice to people, use the bathroom on the boat. It was extremely clean and well-maintained! This is not a ding on Seeking Sophie because it’s beyond their control, but just an observation about the two locations that we went to in Komodo national Park. The facilities were extremely rundown and shockingly inadequate. The bathrooms were in a serious state of disrepair. Anyway, I just wish they would’ve used the entry fees to provide better facilities for everyone locals and foreigners.

From the get-go, everything was handled with top-tier professionalism and care. The itinerary? Spot on. What you see is exactly what you get – no surprises, no stress – just smooth sailing the whole way through. Every stop was timed to perfection. Even on a weekend, we managed to beat the crowds and enjoy each breathtaking location in peace. Talk about VIP treatment! One absolute highlight for us: Taka Makassar and the snorkeling that followed. Words can’t do the views justice – it was like diving into a postcard. Crystal-clear waters, vibrant coral, and the kind of natural beauty that makes your jaw drop. The guides were not just warm, knowledgeable, and always ready to help, they doubled up as amazing photographers. They knew all the perfect spots and angles, so we walked away with memories and the pictures to match! All in all, this trip was incredible value. Alexandria Cruises handled every detail with such precision, all we had to do was show up and enjoy paradise. Can’t recommend this enough – if you’re thinking about it, just book it. You won’t regret it.

Review Body: We had a great day out on the boat. Our primary interest was in seeing the dragons (and it was scary but realistic to be told by the guide en route that some days nobody sees one!) Luckily, we saw three and were able to get surprisingly close to them, under the supervision of the three rangers who accompanied our group. You never forget your first time! It was fun gazing at this magnifecnt creature in a kind of group trance which was only broken by a slight movement from the dragon which led to an immediate two steps back routine from all of the onlookers! I hadn't realised how beautiful the whole park, and therefore the trip, would be. It was an amazing sight seeing the sun rise from the back of a boat barrelling through the surf. As an older couple who can barely swim (!), we stayed on the boat for the four snorkelling sessions which we were happy to do although part of the afternoon dragged a little bit because of this. Perhaps you could recommend bringing a book if you are a non snorkeller. However, this is a very minor point - we had a fabulous and totally memorable time. Our leader/guide was very knowledgeable and accommodating to all the different people on board - he did a great job, as did the dragons!

Review Body: With so many tour options, it’s hard to know how to choose the right one. We are SO happy we went with Alexandria Cruise. Getting to all the spots before the rush of other tourists was worth the early pick up. We were able to enjoy each spot with little to no people around. Our guide provided valuable suggestions about where and how to take pictures. We had enough time to enjoy ourselves at each place. One of the things I loved the most was that the boat was always clean after each stop. The crew must be constantly cleaning the interior and exterior so that when we come back, either sweaty from a hike or wet from a swim, we have a clean space. Fresh watermelon were provided throughout the trip as a refreshing snack. I should also mention that my husband and I had our 9 month old daughter with us, which may seem daunting to some but it was such a breeze with this group. The crew even offered to play with her on the boat while we swam around the boat in the gorgeous ocean or went snorkeling. They were soo great with her. This was the highlight of our two week trip to Indonesia. Our only regret is that we didn’t stay an extra night to enjoy relaxing at a resort in Labuan Bajo. More people should come here!

Review Body: I booked this tour through Seek Sophie because I had a fantastic experience with them in Bali last year, and once again they exceeded my expectations. The island-hopping tour was everything that was promised and more. It was an unforgettable day, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. A special thank you to our guide, Hugo, who was incredibly helpful and shared fascinating information about the Komodo dragons and the islands throughout the day. I was especially lucky because I visited during the Komodo dragons' mating season in June. The park rangers had placed food to attract them, and we were able to see three huge Komodo dragons up close. The snorkeling was equally amazing—we saw three giant manta rays, two large sea turtles, a baby shark, and so much more. It was truly incredible. I can't recommend this tour highly enough. If you don't have time for a multi-day boat trip but still want to experience the highlights of Komodo National Park, this is the perfect option. Seeing so much in just one day also leaves you with extra time to explore other beautiful parts of Flores. Thank you to Hugo and the whole team for such an amazing day. It was one of the highlights of my trip!

Review Body: We took the one day cruise on 27 June 2025, day after our arrival at Labuan Bajo. Our guide for the cruise was Heri, and the captain was Ari. I could not recall the other crew members names 😬 sorry. I liked that Heri and his team was very observant and made sure everyone boarded and came off the boat at each stop safely. The hike up Padar can be very strenuous cos of the elevation so one should do it at their own pace. We spotted quite a few deers at the beach. Our visit to the Komodo National Park was amazing cos we were lucky enough to spot one big komodo and three smaller females. The two park rangers were very informative and helped us took photos for us safely. We took the one hour trail. It was my first time on a speed boat and being in the middle of the ocean, but I enjoyed all the itinerary especially the snorkelling stops. Again those in my group who went down to snorkel were fortunate to spot 6 manta rays and at the other snorkelling spot, caught sight of two turtles. I will definitely re-visit Labuan Bajo and do this cruise again. Inspired me to re-learn swimming and maybe take up proper snorkelling lessons. Thank you.

Review Body: First, the booking process was really simple and communication was good. Hotel pick up was very smooth and our driver was on time. Once at the boat, we were off without delay and instructions were very clearly given, and expectations were set about what we would see and do that day. Hugo was the main communicator and he was awesome to deal with. We enjoyed his positive energy. The boat was well equipped and comfortable. We only had 12 passengers, which made it feel more intimate. It is also really important to know that we left at 6:30 AM, which is a little bit earlier than some of the other operators, which gave us an advantage at every location. As we were finishing our visit at each location, many other boats were pulling up behind us to start their tour and the crowds were offloading. We avoided the crowds during the entire trip, having places to ourselves. Hugo was super invested in ensuring that everyone got to see turtles and manta race during our snorkeling. The snorkeling was superb!! (And I grew up snorkeling and living in the Caribbean) . We visited three different snorkel sites and had the best experiences at each one.

Review Body: The trip was absolutely incredible and far exceeded my expectations. Yes, it’s an early start, but its worth it as you get ahead of the crowds and enjoy the sites in peace. Everything was well‑organised. While the schedule is fairly structured, it never feels rushed it just ensures you’re always one step ahead of other groups. I brought my 5‑year‑old daughter along. The hike was a bit challenging for her, and I carried her part of the way, but honestly, the views lower down would have been just as enjoyable if we’d stopped short of the summit. She adored the pink beach, and the Komodo walk was mostly shaded, so she managed most of the 2 km trek with just a little help towards the end. The snorkeling was a highlight. I’m not a strong swimmer, but the guide made us feel completely safe and relaxed. Life jackets were plentiful, and when my daughter got tired, she simply held onto the ring, which our guide brought along which made it easy for her to join in. I can’t recommend this tour highly enough. We packed so much into one day that it felt like a three‑day adventure, yet everything ran smoothly and efficiently. Truly unforgettable.

Review Body: I was absolutely reluctant to wake up at 5am for such an early start, esp with 6 kids in tow! But it was 100% worth it. Warren is lovely and his boat team are all top notch. Our tour was amended due to rough seas around actual Komodo so a different route was out forward, and it made no difference to us. The highlight for me was the coral reef in Komodo national park. What a wonder to behold. Spectacular and in wonderful pristine condition. Back to the boat crew. Attentive, friendly and helpful. The best for us (with 3 young children) was the guys who looked after our children in the water with a life bouy while we were free to snorkel ourselves with our older kids. Priceless. The place we stopped for lunch was beautiful. All snorkelling points were well worth getting back in the water for. The least memorable for me was the Komodo dragons - because everything else was so amazing it top trumped than! Great value for money. Warren is also a gentleman, providing great service and great English, very easy to communicate with. Thanks for a memorable trip. It was our daughter’s favourite day of our 5 week trip through SE Asia.

Review Body: An unforgettable day full of adventure and excitement exploring what komodo has to offer with Alexandria Cruise. We were one of the first groups at padar island, avoiding the big queues, making it a perfect picture spot and chance to take in the incredible views. Pink beach was also stunning and a great place to relax, swim and cool down after the first hike. It was also incredible to see 3 Komodo dragons up close at the Komodo national park, learning a lot of insightful information from the rangers. Taka Makassar was another unbelievable spot with beautiful clear blue waters. We ended the day with 3 snorkelling spots where we were able to see 2 manta rays, 2 turtles and lots of other fish. This was amazing to see. I would like to give a big thank you to the Alexandria Cruise team for their exceptional customer service throughout the day making sure we were always comfortable, hydrated and enjoying ourselves seeing everything there was to see and even taking pictures for us. Thank you! Thank you & Thank you! Couldn’t recommend this day trip enough, particularly if you are short of time during your stay in Labuan Bajo.

Review Body: We had the most fabulous day with Alexandria Cruise !!! Feno and the team were absolutely fantastic from start to finish thank you so much guys we absolutely loved it !! We were picked up early at 05.20 and taken to the port where we boarded the beautiful boat. We arrived early for the stunning hike up Padar Island which took around 25 minutes 800 plus steps. We had the hike to ourselves and the views from the top were out of this world !! The team were so kind and helpful taking photos of us and making sure we were safe. We then went to beautiful Pink Beach for snorkelling and swimming. Komodo Island was our next stop and WOW !!! We were so lucky to see 10 Komodo Dragons !! Our next stop was the most stunning Taka Makassar !! Which we had to ourselves. Just beautiful like the Maldives. We then had a couple more snorkelling stops where we were so lucky to see Manta Rays , turtles and an abundance of coral and fish. The food and snacks were fantastic with a constant supply of water and the team were always so lovely and attentive. We would not hesitate to recommend Alexandria thank you so much Sarah and Martin x

Review Body: I cannot thank the team enough who took us on this tour. Hugo & the boys did an excellent job of keeping the energy high & exciting throughout the whole day, even the 5:40 kick off time. The schedule was kept pretty much down to the itinerary given to us with more than enough time in each location. We were able to see 3 Komodo dragons on the island which we felt so lucky to have the chance as well as manta rays & turtles. Komodo Island felt so safe with both our guides & the rangers, you could tell they really cared about the park, and the safety of both the dragons & all guests who walked through the gates. Manta Ray spotting was excellent with our tour guide excitedly jumping into the water as he spotted one for us all the laugh and jump in with excitement too - incredible experience. If it weren't for our guide would we have found the turtles - unsure... as they are so well camouflaged unless swimming near the top so hats of to him. Overall, cannot thank you everyone enough who were involved in creating this spectacular day, it will be etched in to our memories forever. Highly recommend.

Review Body: We found it quite difficult to choose the right provider from the many day trip options—especially one that offers both a very safe experience and enough space on the boat. Alexandria Cruise exceeded our expectations on both counts and more. We had an absolutely fantastic day with a highly professional crew, including Fano, Sofian, the other team members, and the captain. The boat is modern and spacious, and there are plenty of life jackets on board, all easily accessible. Throughout the day, the crew clearly explained what we would be doing, when, and what to bring (such as flip-flops, walking shoes, etc.), which made everything very easy and well-organized. We snorkeled at several stunning locations, and at each spot the group was guided with great care. This allowed us to fully enjoy the incredible marine life—beautiful turtles, manta rays, colorful fish, and coral. We departed at 5:20 AM, and participants were picked up by different taxis, ensuring we could leave on time and arrive at Padar Island before the crowds. Review Body: Wonderfully curated trip. Everything went on time. The pick up was at 5.15 am from our hotel and by 5.40 we were sailing. Good briefing by the crew especially Hugo We went to Padar Island first and by the time we reached we were the only guests there. The guests from the boats which stayed overnight were leaving and we had amazing time with surreal views and photos. The guides coupled as photographers and they were good at it. We went to Pink beach and had breakfast there. We have to bring our own breakfast and normally the hotel packs it for us. The pink sands were very lovely. Then we went to see komodos. We saw 5 of them. But the 1st one looked sedated and kept only for the visitors. But this is the only place where we can see them and so it's worth it We had lunch provided by the tour operator. The lunch was basic. Veg option was there too Hen we proceed to 3 spots for snorkeling. Saw beautiful corals, fishes, Manta rays, one medium sized shark, baby sharks and turtles. The guides were supportive and informative. Mineral water, bananas, coke and snack box were provided.

Itinerary Description: 5:20am - 5:35am: Pick up from your hotel in Labuan Bajo City Center 6:00am Depart from Labuan Bajo 7:00am Arrive to Padar. Hike to the top of Padar Island (185m) to see the most iconic view of Komodo National Park. It's a short but steep, 30-minute hike, and well worth it! 8:20am Depart for Pink Beach (Long Beach). 8:30am Arrive to Pink Beach. This aptly named beach is peppered with red coral, giving it a light pink hue. Only a handful of places in the world have this natural phenomenon! 9:40am Head to Komodo Island. 10:15am Arrive to Komodo Island where you will trek and spot the wild Komodo Dragons! Of the 5,700 Komodo Dragons in Komodo National Park, about 1,727 of them live on Komodo Island. 11:50am Enjoy a rare lunch which takes place on Komodo Island (most day trips will have their lunch on the boat) 12:15pm Head to Taka Makassar. 12:35pm Arrive on Taka Makassar, a small sandbar located near to Komodo Island and Manta Point. This island is a worthy destination, especially for snorkelling. 1:30pm Departs for Manta Point. 1:35pm Snorkel at Manta Point. Also known as Makassar Reef, this is a well-known snorkelling/diving spot to encounter Manta Rays. Best time for Mantas is from December to February. 2:10pm Depart for siaba besar (turtle city) 2:20pm Snorkel at Siaba Besar This is a beautiful island with clear waters and colourful corals and habitat for Sea Turtles. 3:00pm: Depart for Labuan Bajo. 4:00pm: Arrive at Labuan Bajo.
