Experience the best of Mekong from its floating market to chocolate making
This is one of the most authentic ways to experience Mekong's famous Can Tho floating market without the crowds - led by locals who grew up in Mekong. It's a super early start at 230am because you'll be picked up from Ho Chi Minh city, but it's super worth it. You'll arrive at Can Tho floating market at sunrise when market comes to life and get up close with the locals selling and trading from their boats. You'll also sample some of the delicious traditional noodles, coffee and fruits for a yummy breakfast, all while on the boat! Then, you'll cruise down small canals to authentic villages, where you'll get hands-on and learn the art of traditional noodle making at a local house. Another highlight is visiting a handmade chocolate farm, where you'll meet the only man in Vietnam who makes chocolates with his own technique and recipe. Learn about cacao trees, his process and see how chocolate is being made from start to finish. You'll even get to try taste the chocolate! This is a great experience for anyone who wants to immerse themselves in the Mekong's local culture and cuisine in a unique way. What to ExpectWitness the bustling trade of the Can Tho Floating MarketGet hands-on with traditional rice noodle makingMarvel at the picturesque canals and local villagesLearn the art of chocolate-making on a cacao plantationTipsEmbrace the early morning start to catch the best sightsBring a camera to capture the vibrant colours and scenesWear comfortable shoes for exploring the canalsBoat Facilities & AmenitiesPrivate and spacious boatEnglish-speaking tour guideComplimentary snacks, fruits, and drinks
