For wildlife lovers to visit a Rescue Center while walking historical war trails
If you want to go beyond the caves this is your Phong Nha trip! You will head deep into the heart of Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park—one of the world’s most biodiverse jungles—for a meaningful trek supporting conservation efforts and will give you insight into Vietnam's recent history. Unlike other treks in the area that focus on caving, this one will lead you via a “Secret Route” once used by soldiers during the war. Along the way you’ll visit a rescue centre for endangered wildlife which houses over 80 semi-wild animals including red-faced monkeys, pig-tailed macaques, white pheasants, and the elusive slow loris—all rescued from illegal wildlife trafficking or surrendered by locals. You will also walk the trails and caves that were used by soldiers during the war, learning from your guides about the lives of the Vietnamese at that time. The trek does involve 6–8km of jungle walking, so it’s best suited for those who are fairly fit. But along the way, you’ll be rewarded with incredible scenery, secret caves, swimming in a waterfall pool, and plenty of wildlife-spotting (if you’re lucky, you might even spot the shy Hatinh langurs!).What to ExpectHop on an easy rider motorbike with a licensed local guide and ride through Phong Nha’s scenic backroadsVisit the Wildlife Rescue Centre and learn about efforts to rehabilitate trafficked or injured animals—see species like slow lorises, white pheasants, and red-faced monkeys up closeTrek 6–8km through the National Park’s lush jungle and secret war routesStop at Weapon Cave and Secret Cave used during the warEnjoy a BBQ lunch in the jungle—there might be a little surprise waiting!Cool off with a swim in a peaceful, natural waterfall poolChance to spot rare wildlife like the Hatinh langursGood to KnowTour includes 6–8km of trekking through tropical jungle—recommended for those with a decent level of fitnessSwimming spots are natural, so make sure to bring swimwear and a towelIn good weather, you might get to visit the semi-wild enclosure for langurs

Hai has spent years working in nature conservation at Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park, and he’s now sharing that experience in a way that truly matters. He started these tours not just to show off the park’s amazing caves and rainforest, but to support the local community and protect wildlife. All the guides and porters are locals who once relied on the forest to survive—but now, thanks to tourism, they have a better way forward. A portion of each tour goes directly to wildlife rescue efforts, helping animals in need. For Hai, it’s always been about giving back—to the land, the people, and the animals that make this place so special.
