Private Japanese craft sake tasting led by certified sommeliers for your team
Looking for a special team experience that’s a bit different from the usual dinner and drinks? This private Japanese craft sake tasting is hosted by certified sommeliers and showcases premium sake, boutique beers, and rare wines that you won’t find at your regular bottle shop. This tasting is designed to be both fun and educational, whether your group is full of seasoned sake fans or complete beginners. Unlike most tasting sessions in Singapore, this is led by sommeliers trained by the Sake Service Institute and WSET. They’ll walk you through rare brews from exclusive Japanese labels – some of which are only available through this experience. Each tasting can also be tailored based on your team’s familiarity with sake, or if you’re more curious about boutique beers and wines, they’ll include those instead. It’s a much more curated and thoughtful experience than your typical bar night or team drinks! This is perfect if your team values quality, loves trying something new, and prefers smaller, more personal gatherings over loud venues with mass-market drinks. It’s also a brilliant option if you want to support independent Japanese breweries and wineries doing amazing craft work off the beaten path. What to ExpectPrivate 1.5-hour session led by certified and trained sommeliersCurated tasting of 4 premium Japanese craft sakes, or boutique beers, or winesRare labels like Nabeshima, Mizubasho, Noguchi Naohiko, and Grace WineFlexible experience tailored to your group’s exposure and preferencesRelaxed setting with expert guidance and storytelling behind each labelGood to KnowFood catering is not providedGreat for corporate entertainment, team-building events, or sake-loving socialsHosted at the tasting room for up to 8 paxFor groups larger than 8 pax, venue must be provided by the customer

Meet your host

Joan’s sake journey started in Japan with a bridal business, but it was the conversations she had in small towns — with brewers and locals — that sparked something more lasting. Together with Charles, she brought that spirit home, creating a place where sake isn’t just poured, but appreciated for its story and care. Since 2013, they’ve been working closely with small breweries, focusing on sustainability (including cold-chain deliveries and an electric truck), and running tastings that feel more like friendly gatherings than formal events. For them, it’s all about genuine connection — with the sake, the makers, and the people who drink it.
