Get creative with pottery hand-building in this therapeutic workshop
If you're looking for a hands-on way to unwind and tap into your creativity, ditch the pottery wheel and rediscover the magic of hand-building! Your host, is more than a potter; she understands the power of working with your hands to nourish your spirit. In her welcoming studio, you'll learn the ancient art of hand-building – pinching, coiling, and shaping clay into unique pieces that reflect your own touch. Unlike wheel throwing, hand-building offers boundless creative expression – no two pieces will ever be alike! It's a chance to relax, express yourself, and walk away with a handmade treasure that's truly yours. What to expect:A short demonstration to introduce you to the basics of hand-building.Lots of time to experiment and create your own unique pieces.Personalized guidance and support from your instructor.Important tips:Come with ideas! Bring pictures of pieces you admire for inspiration. One favorite piece is included. Love more than one creation? Keep them for a small fee.Plan for pickup: Glazed and fired pieces are ready for collection after about 8 weeks. Want to try glazing? Opt for a 2-lesson bundle and glaze your creation yourself!Age 13+: This mindful & meditative experience is recommended for those aged 13 and up. If you have younger kids, you're the best judge of whether they'd enjoy this focused and creative activity.
