If thick sulfur clouds make it unsafe to descend into the crater, the tour will be adjusted for your safety.If you choose to stay in Bondowoso area (Ijen View Hotel or similar), after the Ijen tour, you’ll head directly to Ketapang ferry port for a ferry to Bali, skipping the hotel breakfast.If your tour ends at Surabaya Airport, you’ll go directly there after the Ijen tour. Please book your flight to depart after 5:00 PM (you'll leave Paltuding at 7:30 AM and arrive at the airport by 3:00 PM).If your arrival/pick-up is before 12:00 PM, the itinerary can be adjusted to visit Ijen on the first day, stay overnight in the area, and head to Bromo on the second day. After the Bromo tour on the third day, you’ll go directly to Surabaya Airport.This private tour is organized for you and your group.A moderate level of fitness is needed as the tour involves some walking.Please remember that Bali is 1 hour ahead of Java.The tour is not recommended for pregnant women, people with back or heart problems, or serious medical conditions. Mount Bromo is family-friendly, with an easy 1.5 km hike (about 30 minutes) from Luhur Poten Temple to the crater rim. The Sea of Sand surrounding Mount Bromo is easy to explore, but a guide is recommended if you want a quieter spot for photos or to view the Milky Way.The national park's authority closely monitors Mount Bromo’s activity. If there’s any danger, the park will close for safety, but if it’s open, it’s safe to visit.Before sunrise, Mount Bromo and Cemoro Lawang can be cold, with temperatures below 7°C (45°F) and strong winds, especially in the dry season. However, it warms up quickly after sunrise, and the sun is strong at this elevation.
