Review Body: Beautiful Location, Looking over the river, tasty & fresh food, especially fish. Good/Friendly Service. Thy have a bungalow with few rooms, but recommend to try a caravan. They have two caravans parked there. One has a shower, but the other one doesn’t. It was a unique experience. They provide safari as well. About 30 mins drive to the Wilpaththu National Park (Eluwankulama Entrance, Mannar Road). Their drivers are friendly and try their best to show the animals. Calm and quite environment. You can have a boat ride as well. Wild elephants are around at the night, but they have an electric fence. (Not advisable to go out from the hotel fence at night) They don’t provide liquor, but you can take your own. It’s about 5 KM from the main road and it’s not a tar road. Check with the hotel about the road condition, before you go, especially in the rainy season. NO swimming Pool

Review Body: One of the best travel experienc in my life. ( May be because I am a nature lover.) The place was so remote you could hear the sound of silence most of the time. Situated in a water front filled with fish and anyone who is interested in fishing could have a great time. Safari vehicle was available at the resort. The wild life sanctuary was not that far and the entrance was very much less crowded even during weekends making things convenient. Kayaking boat rides to the nature should be mentioned. As the season was just about to begin we didn't get chance to do dolphin watching. I noticed campaign areas within the hotel premisses and in the wild. Elephants were all around the place. The staff was friendly. Food was excellent.

Review Body: The hotel manager and friendly staff gave priority for our comfort. Clean rooms, supportive service and wonderful location kept us busy to feel that we were on the earth. Excursions and boat rides through kala oya, lagoon and then to the sea is an unexpected excitement. Wilpattu tour they organized was fantastic and cost is fair. Though we were keeping on late nights the management was kind enough to accept us to thrill the nature. Though we have been all over in Sri Lanka for holidays, with wilpattu nature resort we had a different experience. The original taste of srilanka food was delicious. HATS OFF FOR YOU ALL NATURE RESORT TEAM.

Review Body: We had a very enjoyable stay at the resort, our cabin by the lake was clean, modern, spacous and comfortable. The manager Anil and his staff literally killed us with kindness and attention. The restaurant setting was stunning and the food was awesome in its quality and quantity. Anil took us for a 4.5 hour tour around Wilpattu National park in his Landcruiser, what an incredile experience. Anil's eagle eye spotted animals hiding in jungle, lagoons and on the wetland, we just couldnt see them until he pointed them out, you can't beat experience i guess. Thoroughly recommend staying at this lovely place beside the lake.

Review Body: “Sadly, I was the only guest due to recent events, but Anil and his team were great. They prepared loads of delicious food and when I changed my mind about taking a full day safari instead of a half day, they turned around, bought some snacks and drinks and I enjoyed a lovely day. There’s really no need to stay away, especially from this area, as there’s plenty of security anyway, to protect the park. The hotel is comfortable and in a very relaxing location, next to the river and not far to the park entrance. You can also take a boat trip, which I did and thoroughly enjoyed.”

Review Body: “The food was great and had a good spread. Every meal was refreshingly different to each other. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. One of my favourite experiences was the kayaking. Kayaking along the lagoon trails was such an adventure. The boat rides allowed us to spend time in water that was pleasantly safe but fresh and the ride to the Biobab (elephant tree) was so much fun. Seeing the giant tree was awe-inspiring.”

Review Body: “Excellent location situated on a river. Nice to relax and explore a bit the surroundings. The have free Kayak's which you can use for the river. The staff is extremly friendly and helpfull. The food is very good. It is a bit of the main road, therefore it is really calm and completely in the nature. Everything is clean, nice rooms and a nice veranda where the resterant is on. It was one of our highlights of the hotels, and we had not expected it.”

Review Body: Friendly staff and pretty much comfortable. Foods are delicious and can be alter according to your preferences. Conference hall is available for average crowd. Clean environment. Can arrange boat rides of various activities and Wilpattu safaris. Rooms are equipped with attached washrooms and air conditioning. Rooms are available in different prices. Peaceful and quiet environment. Highly recommend for travellers.

Review Body: This is a small, but great resort located in a beautiful place between puttalam Lagoon and Kala Oya. Authentic Sri Lankan food, which they provided us was extreamly exemplary. This place is highly recomended, if you wish to visit Vilpattu Sanctuary via eluwankulama entrance. Mangrove tour along kala oya is also recomended to enjoy, if you stay at this resort. Staff is also friendly, very attentive and helpfull.

Review Body: The resort was well maintained and situated in a nice peaceful location, in front of the Lunu ganga/kalaoya and close to putlam lagoon. The facilities were very good and the staff was very friendly. Really Enjoyed the Safari to Wilpattu and the boat ride to lagoon. Food was tasty too. We stayed at the main building (not the building with the restaurant) Rooms were spacious. However, Toilet needs to be improved.

Review Body: Stayed for one night at the Eagle Room on Christmas night 2018. Wanted to extend my stay by another night but the place was fully booked. So if you want to book this place - earlier the better. The place is situated on the banks of Lunu Oya and with friendly staff and brilliant local cuisine was a hit with the entire family. Kids enjoyed the kayak ride over the Lunu Oya. Definitely visiting the place again.

Review Body: Super Hospitality, Credit to Anil and Team. Rohan the chief steward was super accommodating. Kids had a great time. By boat to a river bath was great. They even gave us our lunch in a Warm box as we traveled on the Mannar road and back to resort. Hats off to the lady Chef she did a amazing job on all meals. Looking forward to going there again.

Review Body: Room features river views. Very nice location far away from the large groups of tourists. You can use the kayaks for free and take a trip through the mangrove forests. Really very special, because we came along more wild elephants than during the safari in the national park. The food was fine.”
