Review Body: Going into this adventure I new we were on a budget boat and went in to it with lower expectations. I were blown away with the quality of service (first live aboard so don't have anything to compare it to) that this was 1000 times better than I was expecting. If I had been on a luxury boat they dive the same sites I would have still seen the same stuff under the water. The people are truly what makes the experience and hands down this crew has what it takes. They went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. I also lucked out with a great group to dive with even a 100th dive guy ;) . We dove April 27-May 3 2019. Signed up for a 6 night 7 day trip. Traveling from Canada I new that the 4 day trip was just not long enough very happy I did. I also signed up ahead of time to do our advanced course. My emails were always answered promptly even through the Christmas holidays which was awesome. Pit and Lismita great job. Arrived on the boat met the crew and shown to our room for the week. The cabin (two beds) was decent. Had AC shared with the cabin next to us. The only thing I would change about the cabin would be to add some curtains as people can see in the window when they come out of the captains room or going to the washroom. And seeing the light from pegasus flashing all night was not the greatest. Other than that the room was great. Slept well once I hung some towels from the top bunk to block out the light. I have several food allergies and the crew took great care of me to ensure I didn't eat something I could not. There was always options that I could eat and well with eating 6 times a day I was never hungry. The food was awesome. Oh and the cookies they just seemed to magically appear constantly well lets just say you NEED to try them. Thank you cookie fairy you are the best. Okay now on to the diving. We had Clement for our instructor for the first 3.5 days. Great guy very knowledgeable. I learned so much from him from better control of my buoyancy to being able to identify fish by markings and shape. I had way more confidence in myself and my diving after the 3.5 days. Thank you Clement. I would recommend him as your instructor hands down. We also had Nico doing his dive master course. Great guys and sorry for taking off during part of your training ;) For our last 3.5 days we had Mersi she was the cutest little thing ever. Thank you Mersi for making me laugh a lot under the water. Marcel, Ricky, Engel and the rest of the crew (sorry I suck with names) made this a very enjoyable adventure. There was a guitar with singing sitting up on the top deck. There was even an evening of Game of Thrones when it was raining to watch the latest episode. Hubby was thrilled with that one. I met some great people on the boat. We did from 3-4 dives a day. We saw Nudibranchs, Lionfish, Flippy Floppies (manta rays) white tip and black tip sharks, turtles, Tuna (huge) lots of Eels, spotted rays, cow fish, oh my goodness the list is long and could go on forever. And so much coral. I am a coral, turtles and ray girl. I sure did see lots. We had a few hours visiting the Komodo Dragons as well. We had one early evening where we visited a pink sand beach. So amazing. My favorite beach of all the ones I visited while in Indonesia. I was worried I would get board being on a boat for such a long time but between diving and eating the down time was needed. Sat back with a book up on deck and enjoyed the company. Over all I would dive with Wicked Diving again.

Review Body: This was our second time diving with Wicked (the first was in Thailand). We did a 4D/3N trip including the Komodo Dragons on Rinca Island. The experience was excellent. The boat had two private cabins with bunk beds down in the bottom of the boat, as well as a dorm with four(?) beds. The ladder to go below decks is a bit steep, so if you have issues with balance, or are naturally clumsy, it might be better to ask to be in the other dorm, which has four bunk beds and an exit near the dive showers at the back of the boat. No ladder necessary. We stayed in one of the two-bed cabins. There was a temperature difference between the top and bottom bunks because of the arrangement of the A/C, so it might be worth bringing a long-sleeve top and perhaps bottoms to wear in bed if you tend to get cold easily and are likely to want the bottom bunk. The food on the boat was quite good, and there was a constant supply of Flores green bananas (which are excellent), biscuits, etc, for between meals. We particularly enjoyed the large jar of Nutella, which goes great with the bananas. Coffee, tea, and water are free at any time, sodas and beer are reasonably priced (15,000 rupiah for sodas which you can pay for after the trip is over). The covered upper deck was a great place to hang out between dives. It had a big table with maybe 10 seats around it, and a comfortable (covered) place to sit at the back of the boat that could hold another six or eight people. Maximum number of divers is 12 per trip. It was possible to find shade in this area the entire day. We spent almost no time in our room except for sleeping and changing clothes. My only complaint has nothing to do with the trip itself, but the hoops that Wicked required me to jump through because I am hypothyroid. I have low level hypothyroidism, which has been managed with low-dose Levothyroxine for four years now. However, Wicked required me to have an additional thyroid test done AND an examination of my cardiovascular system before I could dive with them, which is rather expensive in the US. My doctor, who used to run a hyperbaric chamber, said such precautions were unnecessary, especially for someone with minor hypothyroidism. Wicked seems to have gotten this idea from a post in the Divers Alert Network (as best I can tell) talking about both hyper- and hypo-thyroidism. My doctor felt that the part of the post suggesting a cardiovascular check was really aimed at hyperthyroidism, particularly if untreated, but what can you do? I paid the money for the medical exam this time, but am not sure I would be willing to do it a second time when other dive operators will take me out without the unnecessary tests. Too bad, because Wicked is a great dive operator otherwise.

Review Body: I had a great experience with Wicked diving. It started with the contact per whats app and email that helped me a lot and answered all my questions. Even some, that were not directly related to diving with them. On the boat i felt comfortable straight away. The beds were soft and wide with curtains for privacy. The rooms had ac and fan. The toilet was not far away and with ear plugs you could not even hear the engine anymore. The food was so delicious, too! The cook respected intolerances and vegetarian or vegan eating styles so that you got an extra dish when necessary. We also had a super delicious chocolate birthday cake - so lucky we had a birthday kid on the boat :D :D The organisation was great. Marsel did a great job planning the cruise, so that the timing of the dives was good. I never felt to be in a rush and if there was a problem it got probably solved before we knew, because everything was smooth. Also he managed everyone to be happy in their diving groups. So I could change groups f.e. to be in a group with a similar air consumption. Thank you so much for that! Not to forget Jhogan and Engel the two diveleaders I was diving with. Marsel and they gave us good briefings. They are amazing artists (the pictures of the divesites are amazing o.o) and explained us where we dive, what we will see, what we need to look for and... After the briefings i felt safe to start the dives. Also I learned new things under the water. Together with Engel I used a reef hook for the first time and tried the frog kick. The diving was incredible - soo clear water, so many fish and corals that were so alive! I loved diving there and was sad to leave the rest of my awesome group (they did 7d/6n) on the boat. We were a really good group with a nice atmosphere and I enjoyeed my stay a lot. I hope to come back again Btw: Wicked trains the locals to be diveleaders and divemasters and it was the first trip that I have been on, that the crew, the diveguides and the cruissdirector were all local. Pretty cool, to support that, too.

Review Body: I came to Wicked Diving for my dive master course, and it did not disappoint to say the least! My instructor was very experienced and had a ton of interesting stories, knowledge and connections to give me a head start in the diving community. Also the community involvement and ethical and sustainable operations for which I chose Wicked are not just a marketing thing, but rather a basis principle in the operation. During our course we for example got to take locals on discover scubadiving trips, free of charge for them, and we did multiple cleanups on beaches and in the harbour. Over the course of 6 weeks my two fellows and I did almost 70 dives in and around the Komodo National Park, meaning we saw amazing wildlife such as many sharks, huge manta rays and schools of fish reaching further than the eye can see, even with the crystal clear waters! The course even included two 4D/3N live aboards with a Komodo Dragon tour! Throughout the course Wicked organized accommodation in hostel La Boheme Bajo, which is great too! The food is really delicious and diverse, the manager very friendly and willing to help us out with many things over the 9 weeks, and from the hostel different activities are organized, as well as transportation services. The only thing is that it's situated between two mosks, which in itself is not an issue, except the fact that the calls to prayer are very loud and from 4:30 in the morning, 5 times as day... However the town is home to many mosks so except if you're staying way up on the hills and out of town, this will be similar wherever you sleep. The town of Labuan Bajo is still very much developing, but it has all the amenities for a long term stay. There are plenty of food options for both local and western cuisine, and souvenir shops and supermarkets are never far away. All in all I had an amazing experience and I would definitely recommend Wicked Diving for anyone a bit adventurous and serious about turning their passion into a carreer!

Review Body: Wicked Diving was recommended to me by countless friends and dozens of Facebookers and I am so greatfull they did. From the first email to the last handshake and hug, the guys and girls who make up this team treat you like family. The crew approach everyday with the most professional outlook I have ever seen in a dive business and the food is just simply amazing! As a dive professional, I have been privileged to travel extensively and experience many different styles of dive crews. The way this crew conducts the dive briefs is something to behold. Big, accurate drawings explaining everything in such a way that anyone at any level of experience can understand. The mood is always happy and cheerful but safety is the most important topic and they make sure that everyone knows if there is any things to watch out for. The dive guilds are the best I’ve ever dived with. As a photographer it is very important to see things early as to position myself in the best frame to (try) and take the best photo i can. There spotting skills are second to none 10/10. The accomidation is quite comfortable and there is heaps of space to catch some rays on the top deck. All in all, a very comfortable liveaboard. What have I taken from this trip: New ways to conduct dive briefings, new ways to guild and teach people and a new understanding for what Wicked Diving and Wicked Good stands for. If your not familiar with Wicked Good then I recommend that you do. This is the way that Wicked Diving gives back to their community by introducing people into the industry, trains them and employs them. The best thing is you meet some of them on this boat and you can ask them about their experiences with Wicked and how it has helped them now and how it will in the future. Anyway that’s enough rambling from me, just do it!! You won’t regret it!! #wewillbeback #wickeddiving #wickedgood

Review Body: Absolutely everything is good about this trip! (I did 7 days 6 nights) The boat is really well set out, comfortable, practical, crewed by the best crew you're going to see anywhere and a really good place to call home for a week! The food was also amazing! Wicked also employ all local staff and train young locals to work in the industry, and run other ventures on land to help local people. They invest a percentage of your trip fee into this. There was a real genuine feeling about it; not like a western ghetto party in Indonesia, which is the vibe you get from some places. The diving is just unreal, and the instructors and guides are the best! Not only do they know their stuff and teach/take you for amazing trips, safely; they are really good company and a lot of fun to be around in between dives. Also, and perhaps most importantly, they care 100% about the reef and life. They provide reef friendly sun block and soap, they drill an attitude of responsibility for the reef into you from the start, they are accredited by not only wwf, but by Sea Shepherd, which is one of the hardest to please!! You see other groups diving where the guides let the customers interfere with/take the coral and fish, but not these guys! Reef first; business second. That's impressive! My only, single, one issue, shared by a few others, was the generator that ran all night. Investing in some batteries to charge in the day would be a good idea so that you have the silence of the sea at night. So if you're going to Labuan Bajo to dive; don't even think of going anywhere else! Wicked Diving is the way forward! Thanks; I will be back.

Review Body: Wow everything about this trip was amazing! First, communication before the dive trip was brilliant. I signed up quite last minute but Lismita and Yanti were prompt in signing me up and providing me with all the details. The boat was large and spacious and never felt cramped. The dining area was cozy and the rooftop with beanbags were great to hang on between dives. Pegasus, the dive boat was also well equipped and spacious for all the divers on board. Never felt cramped before a dive. The diving itself was AMAZING. The DMs always chose the right site and even though it was peak season, most of the dives were relatively free of people. My DM, Aji is an absolute boss and made me feel comfortable and safe in some tough currents. Appreciate it. Jogon and Merci were also amazing too!!!! The pre dive briefings were in depth and informative and the hand drawn maps were great. The food was absolutely impeccable! Some of the best this trip. We were always well fed with a small breakfast, big breakfast, lunch, dinner and always an assortment of snacks Lastly the staff on board the trip were the best part. The DMs, chefs, boatmen were perfect. Everyone was friendly and approachable. Any help I needed before a dive was catered too and the boat staff kept the boat very clean. I appreciate the efforts of the team to employ locally based DMs and staff. The wicked good program is a brilliant initiative where a percentage of revenues goes towards training locals on Labuan Bajo to become DMs or other crew . Wicked diving really cares. Thanks so much and 110% recommended

Review Body: WOW! This was a breathtakingly amazing experience. From start to finish it was amazing! I have just finished the 4d/3n liveaboard trip in Komodo island and it was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about it! All the dive instructors were fantastic- so friendly, passionate, knowledgeable and ready to help with anything and everything! The food on board was delicious and there was always plenty available for everyone! I stayed in the dorm and it was perfectly comfortable for my stay, the bed was extremely comfy and the aircon and fan worked great. All the diving equipment was in great condition and the staff made sure everything was satisfactory. On the dives we saw sharks, turtles, manta rays, breathtaking coral and plenty more amazing big and small fish. The hand-drawn maps the dive guides drew for each dive briefing were comprehensive and each dive briefing gave us all the information we needed for each dive including which direction the current was going! All the other staff on board were friendly and worked hard to ensure we had the best trip ever. I really don’t have the words to sum up how great my experience was, but I know for sure that I will be back. And on top of all of this the environmental stuff wicked is doing is incredible - 2% of the trip cost went towards wicked good and their community projects. To be shown the land by local Indonesians was a unique experience, the knowledge that they have is incredible. Thank you so much Wicked diving, you’re the best!

Review Body: We did a 3 days Livaboard to Richelieu Rock with Wicked Diving and because we wanted to see this amazing spot from the top to the bottom, we also did the advanced OW course on this trip! We've been to a view diving trips but we have to say, we've never been to one that was so perfectly organized than this one. The staff was really friendly and safety and eco friendliness is always first on this boat, which made us feel really comfortable. They do not go into the water with bigger groups than 4 persons and all of the divemasters and instructors are very professional and know the divesites, currents and places we went to. Wicked Diving offers PH Neutral shower gel, shampoo and conditioner so that no chemical stuff ges into the ocean. Every diver gets one refillable bottle that he uses for the whole trip to save plastic stuff which is great. The divesites in the Similian and Surin Islands were incredible and as soon as we came out of the water, delicious food was waiting for us and we have to say that this was also one of the parts that could not compete with any other company! We never had food as good as this one on a boat :) We really loved our trip and it was worth every cent of it.... it was one of the best times we ever had in Thailand (and we love nearly every spot here except of the really touristy ones haha) Thx Wicked Diving we will for sure!!!! come back to experience some more of these awesome trips with you!!!

Review Body: Don’t ever write reviews but I felt compelled to do so after my amazing experience with Wicked. From the moment I was greeted at the shop I felt at home. Had the best 7d/6n of my life! I had about 60 dives to start but there were divers of all levels on the trip. The team did a great job in pairing us with a buddy at our same experience level. Food was abundant and delicious. I am a vegetarian and I always had a ton of options to choose from. The boat crew were so kind, always smiling and did a wonderful job of keeping the boat tidy. I felt super safe at all times. The boat was well equipped with a pure oxygen tank, gps and emergency life rafts and such. Shout out to the dive crew- Fauzy, Intan, Aji, Savry, Engel, Ricky each and every one of you were amazing and played a part in making our trip special. The diving was superb, we saw mantas, turtles, sharks, octopus, cuttlefish etc and all the glorious macro you could ever want on EVERY SINGLE DIVE. The diving on Komodo can be challenging due to currents but the crew made sure we felt comfortable and prepared to enjoy each dive. The dorm rooms were simple but comfortable with a fan and a/c to keep us cool during the night. The dragon trek was a nice touch at the end, I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. I will never forget this trip and the people I met! Looking forward to my next trip with wicked... maybe Raja ;) love you guys!

Review Body: Our liveaboard diving experience with Wicked Diving was the highlight of our 5 month trip to Southeast Asia. We originally signed up for one 4d/3n trip, and had so much fun that we stayed for a total of 10 days. The boat itself was very comfortable, and while not luxurious had all the amenities we needed. I slept great too and liked the food. The diving was EPIC!! We just completed our advanced open water before the trip, and now I can say that after the trip I truly feel advanced. My diving improved so much. If you are on the fence about a liveaboard, just go for it because getting a lot of dives in day after day was the most helpful thing for my comfort level while diving. And it was great to get more practice while seeing all the incredible diverse sea life (turtles, sharks, mantas, barracuda, beautiful and healthy coral, all the tropical fish you could ever dream of). The dive instructors are really stellar, and know the sites so well--most of them are local from Flores, which to me just adds to the experience. We dove with Marsel, Merci, and Clement and they were all a pleasure to dive with. Do yourself a favor and choose this liveaboard, you'll meet the coolest people and see some great sea life along the way. WE LOVE WICKED DIVING!!

Review Body: This is a long review but basically Wicked were awesome... We booked with Wicked because we had a great experience with them diving the Similan Islands in Thailand a few years ago and were very impressed with them again in Komodo. All the staff were enthusiastic and professional, our dive guides Agi, Jogant and Clem were knowledgeable and fun and the trip leader Marsel did a great job keeping everything running smoothly. The food onboard was delicious and plentiful. Oh and the diving was AMAZING! Comfortably the healthiest coral reef I've ever dived on and abundant fish stocks as a result! Manta's, Reef Sharks, huge shoals of all sorts of reef fish and loads of great Macro life! Having worked as a dive professional and dived in many places around the world I was particularly impressed with the Wicked Good Program which provides subsedised training for local people to become dive guides. Since this is often an opportunity that is out of reach for local people in tropical diving locations I was genuinely impressed by this company's commitment to help ensuring that local communities benefit from the tourism in the area. I was honestly gutted when the trip ended and cannot recommend this company highly enough!

Review Body: My boyfriend and I were on the liveaboard for 4D3N in October and booked the 2 berth twin room which was on the main deck. All in all we had a great experience with wicked diving - everyone was so kind (including the other guests, which I think is a very important factor as well). As they write on their website, it’s not a luxury liveaboard; but it still was way better than what we thought this meant! Even the bathroom (on the main deck still) was nice with a flushing toilet and shampoo/soap to use. The beds were quite comfortable (although a lot of noise from machines - but we brought earplugs so this was all good) and the food was really great too. We had an incident where the air in our tanks smelled and tasted tainted, which we think should have been handled differently (gone back to the main boat and refill with new air, take no chances), but they did apologize for this and it all ended up fine. Also some of the equipment could need some replacement. Either way, this was an amazing trip, and wicked diving made sure to make it a memory of a lifetime for the both of us! Would definitely recommend choosing them, if you want affordable but still great value for money. Rasmus and Lærke

Review Body: I did the 3 night/4 day liveaboard with the Wicked Diving crew in Komodo. Komodo Islands was definitely a bucket list for me so I was super excited about this trip. The Wicked Diving boat is definitely a budget liveaboard, but the price is unbeatable and it has everything you need: aircon, all meals provided, and beds (some other boats don't have aircon and you sleep on the deck). Schedule: Day 1: Check into the shop by 11am (paperwork, gear fitting, etc), grab lunch nearby and get on the boat by 1pm. After about 2 hours of a boat ride, gear up for the first dive. Dinner, hangout, and bed time. Day 2: 6am wakeup and first dive is at 6:45am. Two more dives throughout the day and a sunset hike/walk in the evening. Day 3: Same schedule as Day 2 but instead of sunset hike, night dive. Day 4: 5:30am wakeup for a super early morning dive. Visit Rinca Island to see dragons. Return to dive shop by 1pm. Wicked also has AMAZING crew members that really make the experience. They train locals to be divemasters and everyone makes sure you have a great time. They also had a deck of a Monopoly card game that we played obsessively every day. Definitely a must do in Indonesia!

Review Body: I booked onto a 4D/3N Scuba diving liveaboard at the last minute and had a wonderful experience! To being with, both Lismita and Yanti handled my questions and booking quickly and efficiently. I felt like I had all the information I needed and, if I had additional questions, it was easy to get a quick response via WhatsApp. The boat isn't luxury, but it's clean, safe, and more than adequate. The beds are super comfortable (you can choose between an 8 person dorm or a 2 person room, both of which have fans AND air conditioning!) and there's a great open space on the top deck to chill in between dives. Food was always plentiful, varied, and delicious. You get two breakfasts every day! Every dive was preceded by a thorough dive briefing describing the animals we hoped to encounter, the topography, and anticipated currents. They tried to divide us into groups based on skill level/experience so that everyone was comfortable. I also love the company's focus on hiring and training local guides. Every single one of our dive guides was from Flores, which added even more to the experience.

Review Body: This 3 night/4 day trip was the most memorable part of my 16 day Indonesia visit. I think it will live on in my heart forever. This "budget" liveaboard provided the best service I could have hoped for. The whole experience far exceeded my expectations. First off, the diving was the best (and most challenging) I've encountered in my life. It was a real life Little Mermaid experience down there. Dive after dive we came up saying it was the best of our lives. The crew on the ship was amazing. They were incredibly organized. Food was plenteous. I can't imagine how they were able to create such amazing feasts every couple hours out of such a small kitchen. The dive briefings were thorough. I loved the little dry erase drawings of each dive site. The boat was basic but comfortable. And the cruise director, Marsel, was awesome- so attentive, caring, and passionate about his work! We were lucky to have an awesome group of divers who meshed well. Every night we had sing alongs while the dive masters played guitar. It was just one of those magical experiences that won't be soon forgotten.

Review Body: I own and operated dive boats and shops, so have a good idea of what makes these work and what does not. Wicked diving did an excellent job of making this 4d/3n liveaboard work. From the initial emails, to disembarking from the boat, it was easy and hassle free. Initially our trip was cancelled due to volcanic activity in Bali, so we were offered to re-schedule our trip, it would have been easy to play the "act of God, no refund" card, but Wicked were very fair. The boat is simple, but that is not hidden from you and from the beginning, you know what you are getting. Anne and Aji kept things running smoothly onboard and briefing were good and schedules were stuck to. Food was excellent and all round, the staff/crew excelled. We had a small detour at the end, to see the Dragons and instead of it becoming a problem, Anne and the office handled it with ease. Wicked is not a luxury operation, but if you want good company. great service and the best diving Komodo can offer, go straight to WICKED DIVING, you won't be sorry.

Review Body: Just returned from a 3D/2N trip with Wicked and had the best time. We chose to wait until arriving in Flores to book and Wicked stood out against all the other companies. The boat was excellent, clean and not over crowded with a max of 6 guests on board with comfortable below deck beds and plenty of space to chill out above deck The food was incredible, very varied and well prepared with 4 meals a day all inclusive. The staff were very knowledgeable and friendly and took us to some incredible spots around the national park. Our guide Joe was particularly good - I was a nervous snorkeller and he really looked after me and made sure I saw some turtles! Meanwhile my friends were able to dive and they bought a dive instructor out specially for a day so they could enjoy this whilst we swam / snorkelled / kayaked. We saw all the "main sites" and plenty of others more off the beaten track. Wouldn't hesitate to book another trip with them!

Review Body: From the first email until the last goodbye I felt that Wicked diving was the one dive operator for me. I went on a 7 Days/6 Nights liveaboard trip and had a fabulous time! It is not a big boat, but we had enough space to dive, eat, sleep and repeat :) The crew are always there with a smile if you need something and the dive guides are very professional! Komodo scuba diving was better than expected! Manta rays, Eagle rays, Gray reef shark, Whitetip reef shark, Hawksbill turtle, huge nudibranch, small nudibranch and a lot more. The currents were strong, but the briefing was always accurate and we knew what to expect before we jumped in. We had two beach cleanups! Where we (the guest and the crew) used about 30-40 minutes to collect 4-5 garbage bags of plastic waste, before we hiked up on a small hill to watch the beautiful sunset over Komodo Island. Thank you Wicked team, for THE best week in Indonesia!

Review Body: I went with wicked diving on the 4 day 3 night liveabord in the komodo national park and it was amazing!! We were only a group of 4 (me and 4 americans with a looot of dive experience). First i was not like „well i hoped for more people“ but it was probably the best what could happen to us. Our dive instructors (aji and mersi) were amazing, we really had a good time! The crew always cooked us amazing food and nice snacks, the boat was clean (as clean as it can be on a dive boat) and as the rooms are airconditioned also good for a cool sleep. The dive site it fascinating, very healthy and also not much plastic polluted (wicked diving also does it‘s bit with the „ethical diving“ and always picked up rubbish when seen underwater. Can completely recommend this trip - also for solotravellers, even if you were alone on the boat you would have a great time with this awesome crew!
