Well-planned day trip with earnest service We booked a day trip visiting 6 locations within Komodo National Park. The trek up Padar was tiring but the view was worth it. The crew then brought us to pink beach for a short snorkel before visiting the komodos in the national park. The lunch was simple so bring your own if you need more. The last 3 locations were a Maldives-like swimming spot and manta viewing before closing at Kanawa. Special shout-out to Apri who was friendly and earnest in his service! Do select East Cruise as we went through afew others who tried to quoted a rather exhorbitant price ( We paid about 135 SGD each excluding 30 SGD park fee) Hope this helps!

Amazing tour of Komodo Park and islands We had a fantastic time on the tour! It leaves very early in the morning to ensure there is plenty if time to visit six places, above water and underneath! We saw the Komodo dragons and a spectacular Manta Rays as well as islands I wont forget for the rest of my life. The boat is comfy (I even slept a couple if times in between destinations) and staff is super lovely. If you don't expect a 5 star experience but a fantastic tour of incredible places, that's for you! The boat was fast and very safe.

Worth it!!! The day didn’t start off great as our pick up was 30 mins late... however I believe this was just a miss-communication between staff & as soon as we were on the way we were so excited! Staff fun & helpful!! The 6 points of the trip are all great!! Of course visiting the actual Komodo dragons is the highlight & didn’t disappoint!! Also padar island was so fun! The staff even climbed it with us & would offer to take photos for anyone travelling alone or even in a couple, at the best view points!! The food given was fine. Snacks & fruit also given throughout the day! Unlimited cold water!! Toilet clean & tidy! Overall great!

Very nice service and awesome guide! It was a really great experience! The crew was very professional and helpful. Our guide was Mr. Ben, and he was really nice, with great english as well! We went island hopping from 7am to 6pm( Rinca, Padar, Komodo, Taka Makassar, and Kanawa) also we got to see manta ray! The lunch menu was also really good, they also always have snacks and drinks available whenever we asked. They picked us up from our hotel and also drove us back. Overall, very good service!

Fantastic Guide and Crew With so many tours to choose from thankfully our hotel arranged this one and we were so happy they worked with East Cruise. We were happy to be a nice clean fast boat our guide Teddy was really very good, with so many different nationalities on board giving clear instructions on timing and safety to keep 40 people together, safe on on time to make sure the trip is enjoyable for all is no easy feat and he did a fantastic job. With boats - water and so many other tourist boast at the drop off locations i felt these guys were really well trained in keeping us safe. The bays around Komodo national park are stunning- the water is so clean . We had a the best day out and seeing 6 locations on our tour... it was perefct . High light was snorkeling with the manta rays ...that was amazing. We were lucky to see Pink beach still pink ...spectacular Padar Island . The Komodo dragons, some great snorkeling and the swim with the majestic manta rays 10 out of 10. The boat driver and the young crew were super and we than them for one of our best days out in Labuan Bajo !

How much are Komodo National Park fees?
Komodo National Park fees are complicated. They depend on: the islands visited (which is weather dependent), whether it's a weekday or a weekend, whether the guest is a foreigner or a local, and the number of people on the boat (as ranger fees are shared). This is why no two people will tell you the same number when asked about fees! The fees are also complicated by the fact that they're set by the national government and paid directly to Jakarta. So there is little visibility on changes from time to time. This is why we usually advise international guests to bring cash of between IDR 350K to IDR 460K per person per day for weekdays and between IDR 400K to IDR 520K per person per day for weekends. This is more than you need, but it avoids you ending up short of cash if the boat doesn't have too many people or the fees suddenly change!
Will I get the exact same boat in the pictures?
You'll get the same type and quality boat, but you may not get the exact same boat. There are 4 types of boat - Standard (i.e. basic), Speedboat, Deluxe and Luxury. Most of the boat operators in Komodo have a few boats that they rotate. Depending on the group size on the day, the boat operator may end up using a larger or smaller boat. The boat that they use will be of the same type and quality but may not be exactly the same boat. Also, there may be situations where the exact boat needs to be sent for servicing so the boat operator may use another boat in these cases as well.
Is the itinerary guaranteed?
The itinerary for Komodo National Park is very weather dependent, as the journey takes place out in open waters. Some days the currents are very strong, and it might not be safe to go to certain islands. We know this can be frustrating if you had your heart set on specific spots, but please be assured that the boat operators will do their very best to make sure you see the dragons and the highlights of the park - even if it's not identical to the itinerary here. A visit to Komodo is quite the adventure, so please do be prepared to embrace some level of uncertainty!
