From the time the fabulous Roy met us at the dock through to arriving on the stunning boat and the food through to the amazing stop-offs for snorkeling, the gorgeous food and the lovely staff. We absolutely loved it. Roy was invaluable and so much fun. We had a great time on the island with the dragons also and got to see 9 dragons which was amazing, from smaller through to a very large one. I would highly recommend this boat and you definitely need to have Roy. The snorkelling is amazing - so don't forget your go-pro.

Review Body: This private cruise was really a dream! Everything was perfect. The boat is very recent and well maintained, beautiful with the wood everywhere and the nice touches of decorations. The staff was very efficient and discreet. Roy, our guide, was such a very nice guy! He brought us to amazing snorkelling (the best we ever had, surpassing those in many other countries we went to!). We were lucky to see many dragons too. The food was excellent (way too much for us!). Certainly the prime time of our trip to Indonesia. Thank you!!

Review Body: We did the 2D1N Waerebo Village trip and can confidently say that everything was exactly as described on the SeekSophie website — so you really know what you are signing up for, with no unpleasant surprises along the way. Communication via the SeekSophie platform and subsequently over WhatsApp with our guide was smooth throughout, with prompt and clear replies each time (unlike some other tour operators who take ages to respond and still give non-answers). Pickup time and location were arranged seamlessly on the day itself. One important note: the team strongly discourages travelling with your luggage or even leaving it in the vehicle on the way to Waerebo. Parts of the road are in quite rough condition and any additional weight would make the journey more difficult for the driver and vehicle — best to leave your bags at your hotel in Labuan Bajo. The drive is a long one — we started around 7am and reached our lunch stop at Waerebo Lodge slightly before noon, with rest stops along the way for photos or bathroom breaks. From there, we took a short motorcycle ride to the trailhead as the roads were too narrow for cars. The hike across the 7 posts took us about 2 hours 15 minutes (we’re not the fittest and took frequent breaks!). We were also fortunate that the trail had reopened in time for our trip after being closed due to bad weather — conditions were hot and humid but dry, which meant fewer leeches and a less slippery, safer climb. We reached the village at around 3pm — earlier than most groups who typically only begin their hike at 2pm and arrive closer to 5pm. This gave us time to explore the open-air shower facilities (separate for men and women) after the welcoming ceremony at the Rumah Gendang, where we were introduced to the village chief and symbolically welcomed into the Waerebo family and their ancestral home. We had time to chat with locals, play with the children, and take photos before the later groups arrived. A heads-up: the shower water is very cold! Dinner is a communal affair in the same hut you’ll be sleeping in, and electricity via generator runs only from 6pm to 10pm — so it’s a bit of a mad rush to charge your devices at the limited sockets available. Lights out at 10pm also means you get an incredible view of the stars (a real treat compared to light-polluted Singapore). Although Waerebo sits at only about 1200m above sea level, it can get quite chilly at night, so bringing a light jacket or windbreaker is advisable. You can opt to wake early the next day for sunrise before breakfast at 7am, after which we began our descent at 8am and reached the trailhead in about 90 minutes. Going downhill is definitely easier than climbing up — though those with weaker knees should take care as it can feel like gravity is working against you! Meals provided were simple but hearty local fare. We found them satisfying, though you may wish to bring along some trail snacks or cup noodles if you’d like extra sustenance. The journey back to Labuan Bajo included a lunch stop and a visit to the spiderweb rice fields. Naturally, there was quite a bit of snoozing along the way after the hike! Special shoutout to Pak Selus, our driver, who handled both traffic and rough road conditions skilfully — we felt safe throughout the journey. Our guide, Dedy, was also fantastic, keeping a close eye on my son (who’s less used to outdoor adventures 😅) and making sure he was safe every step of the way. He also took professional photos for us using his DSLR and drone — we’re still waiting on the Google Drive link, but the previews already look amazing! All in all, a highly recommended experience — and do hope for good weather so the valley views aren’t obscured by clouds when you’re there!

Review Body: I’m not sure where to start with the review..! We’ve spent 2 weeks in Indonesia and this boat cruise was the highlight of it all. All of the staff are absolutely incredible to say the least. Roi the tour guide was the most amazing person to do this tour with, he had the best local knowledge, making sure we missed the crowds at all of the best places, he was so personable and without him, the cruise would not be the same. Bayo the photographer/videographer was such a nice person, he is such a talented person with his camera, his diving skills and felt like a friend whilst on the trip. The captain and his team were really friendly and we wouldn’t change them for the world. The kitchen staff cooked up the most beautiful breakfasts, lunches and dinners, seriously world class food, you wouldn’t believe that a 5-star meal could be cooked in the middle of the ocean! We are struggling to find words to explain how good this experience was for us, we made friends for life on this trip. Honestly, if you’re reading this, don’t hesitate to book this trip, it might be the best thing you ever do, it certainly was for us and we haven’t even explained the different experiences yet! The team made us feel so lucky, we seen Dolphins, Sea Cows, turtles, spotted eagle rays, gorgeous fish and beautiful corals whilst snorkelling. We had the most beautiful sunrise trek with our Navilla family. We managed to see 5 Komodo dragons when we visited Komodo Island. The pink beach was outstanding, again Roi made sure we got there at sunset and there was nobody else there!! We sat together as a family to watch the bats migrate from Bat Island and Roi made us laugh. We watched the stars at night and seen many shooting stars, we could even see the Milky Way with the naked eye. We went to a tiny little sand island with crystal clear waters and we had it to ourselves, Bayo got some insane footage on his drone and shared them with us immediately. Once we left this island on the boat, we looked back and seen many boats arriving, again giving credit to the team and how they looked after us. If you want to know more then Seek Sophie should give our contact details to you and we would be more than happy to explain it again as we would love to brag about how touching this cruise was for us. Currently we have limited photos to share as most of these were taken on my digital camera which has yet to be processed and also Bayo will soon share all photos and videos he took on a Google drive but I have added the few that I took on my phone.

Review Body: Book this trip, don’t hesitate!!! Wow - we can’t recommend it highly enough. Everything was perfect. Communication before, during and after the trip was excellent. The crew were fantastic, professional, friendly and great fun. Our guide Roy was absolutely amazing, we were so lucky to have him - he made the trip so much fun. As other reviews have said - the team work really hard to make sure you see all the sights at the best time. Roy altered the itinerary slightly to ensure we arrived at each location before lots of other tourists arrived. We still visited every location but managed to do so at much quieter times, even having all of Pink Beach to ourselves. We were dubious about whether the trip would live up to expectations - but it far surpassed them. We swam with turtles at every stop, swam with 3 huge manta rays, saw sharks and just about every type of fish possible. We saw Komodo dragons despite it being mating season (harder to see). The food was brilliant, the rooms clean and comfortable. The shower pressure was great and there was endless hot water. All the snorkelling gear was provided, and we were welcomed back after each excursion with drinks and a cold towel. The booking includes a photographer (including GoPro and drone footage), all of which were sent to us the same day as leaving the boat - Billy captured some incredible moments. We were very lucky to share the trip with 10 other tourists that were amazing company, we really enjoyed the social aspect of the trip. If you’re not as lucky with your fellow guests, the boat is big enough that there are numerous places to lounge that you don’t have to all sit together at any point. There are plenty of shops in Labuan Bajo to buy alcohol to take on board, and there’s a full size fridge to keep your drinks cool. Snacks, soft drinks, tea, coffee, and meals were all included. Please do support this local company - if you’re lucky you might have Roy as your guide, he was outstanding!! It was also my birthday during the trip, and the crew made it a special day - even bringing out a dessert with candles and singing happy birthday! Thank you Navila Crew for a very special trip. We hope to return one day.

Review Body: There are many tour companies that say they offer a similar cruise but we did our research, found Seeking Sophie and decided to take a chance... and we're so happywe did! We were actually in Lombok and could have gone from there but after reading that Seeking Sophie cancelled their cruises from Lombok because they didn't agree with the unethical feeding of the whale sharks to encourage them to the tourists boats we knew these were the best company to travel with. We took our flight to Lubuan and were collected from our hotel for the cruise by East Indonesia Trip. We were met at the port by Roy our guide, who arranged for our luggage to be taken ahead. When all guests arrived, he guided us through the chaos of the port and onto the beautiful Navila! What a gorgeous boat, with a large fantastic comfy social area, perfect for everyone to get to know each other! The activities spaced out with plenty of relaxing and sociable time in between. The snorkeling was wonderful, we saw turtles, black tip reef sharks and mantas. The Trip to Komodo incredible, we were lucky to see 3 large dragons and 2 babies. And the sunset view of 1000s of bats in flight was something we won't forget. The crew were the best, everyone was so friendly and helpful. Roy our guide was so professional and was always there with information and a smile. Billy the photographer took some epic photos and drone footage. The chefs were incredible, we were astounded how they made 5☆ food in a tiny galley, but they did. Johnny who took us out on the small boat to various places, was everyone's favourite... thank you Johnny😂 We were so fortunate to have such wonderful other guests with us, we came from all over the world and were a mix of ages but these people and the crew became our little Navila family and they all made this trip so special. This cruise is without doubt the absolute highlight of our month stay in Indonesia. We have so many treasured memories and think it was worth every penny. Review Body: We had a fantastic experience on the Carnaby boat (3D/2N)! We booked the family cabin, which was quite spacious for two adults. It was clean and comfortable, with very little engine noise. The food on this trip (which includes breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner) was overall very good (8/10). The crew were welcoming and professional. There were 12 passengers (excluding the crew) from various countries including France, India, USA, Australia, and Indonesia. Our guide, Dedy (frequently cited as Dedi), was exceptional. Not only did he take us to several different snorkeling spots where we saw giant manta rays, sea turtles, an abundance of unspoiled coral reefs, reef sharks, baby sharks, and schools of trevally (and other fish) numbering in the thousands, but he also captured underwater GoPro footage, drone shots, and land-based DSLR photos for all the passengers. At night, seeing the stars and galaxies against the pitch-black sky was absolutely incredible. Although the Komodo dragons were a treat, the highlight was the snorkeling itself—such incredible underwater scenery! The only downside was the shower within the cabin, which severely lacked pressure, and the toilet, which lacked flushing power. Other than that, I’d happily book this tour again. PS: The admission fee to Komodo National Park (as of early May 2026) was Rp 700.000,00 (~$40 USD) and the fuel surcharge was Rp 500.000,00 (~$29 USD) which was payable in cash only at the start of the trip. Also, I wouldn't recommend this trip if you're going solo--it's best suited for a couple or 2-friend group(s).

Review Body: It was a completely impromptu weekend trip, but it turned out to be one of my favourites. Loved everything from the gorgeous Navila boat with plenty of *shaded* lounging areas, the friendly and helpful crew, the delicious food, and the awesome guide Roy and amazing photographer Bayoe. Bear in mind that it’s still a boat so the rooms and en-suite bathrooms are tight. So pack light! The boat itself is well stocked with towels, shampoo, soap, coffee, tea and snacks so you’re taken care of in that regard. I especially appreciated how Roy planned the itinerary to make sure we avoided the crowds - the difference was night and day! We saw so many fish, Komodo dragons, deers, bats, mantas, baby sharks, turtles and even dolphins! Also lucked out with a clear sky full of stars and the Milky Way. 🤩 Snorkelling was great bc there was always the little boat with someone looking out for us esp if we ventured too far from the group. I felt so safe and looked after even underwater that I took my lifejacket off and swam in deep water for the first time! I also got super lucky with amazing fellow guests from all over the world 🤍 even though I came solo and everyone else came as a couple, there wasn’t a single moment where I felt awkward or lonely. Had the time of my life 🥹 they even opened up the sails on the last day so we could get awesome drone shots of the phinisi all dressed up 😭❤️‍🔥 HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Review Body: I had no expectations when I joined the community trip and just kept an open mind as this was my first time in Indonesia. The whole experience with East Indonesia Trip was beyond wonderful (as what Indonesia’s tourism tagline says). On the logistics, it was seamless. The itinerary was all thoughtfully mapped out, from the sequence of the trips and activities, allowing us to enjoy Labuan Bajo at the start and sustaining our excitement with the Komodo 3D, 2N live aboard trip and wrapping it up with local tribal feast with Kak Liz, an advocate of preserving local culture through food. In a span of 8 days, we were able to take in the culture of the Flores island, enjoy some personal time and bond with the group in a way that we’re not rushed. From the Seek Sophie group to the Navila team, I couldn’t be any more grateful for their warm hospitality, the kind acts of service and the local knowledge that they have extended to me and to the whole group. What I appreciate about the trip is that nothing was lip service, it was all genuine sharing of their culture, all that they have experienced for themselves and that they truly aspire for other people to appreciate and acknowledge. And Indonesia is a stunning country, a total gem and and absolute revelation. I am so looking forward to my next trip to Indonesia with East Indonesia Trip, if ever there should be another one!

Review Body: This trip was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The boat itself is very beautiful, spacious, comfortable – the perfect place to relax between activities. The food on board was incredible and truly a highlight of the trip. We were spoiled with breakfast, snacks, lunch, dinner, coffee, and everything was fresh, delicious, and abundant. The group was wonderful, the rooms were spacious and comfortable, the bathroom was clean with hot water (a real luxury!), and everything was well thought out. Towels and snorkeling equipment were provided, which made everything easy and stress-free. The tours were planned perfectly – not too packed – so there was always time to relax, have fun, and just enjoy the experience without rushing. The crew was simply fantastic. Special thanks to Bayo and Dedy, who are incredible tour guides. They went out of their way all the time to make sure we experienced everything, and thanks to them we truly did. We saw manta rays – many of them! – as well as turtles, and we swam in the most beautiful snorkeling spots. Being locals, they knew exactly where to take us for the best experiences. The photographer was also amazing, capturing memories beautifully. Everything about this trip was perfect. We really enjoyed our experience, and for the first time ever, I truly have no complaints – just gratitude for such an unforgettable journey!

Roberto, our guide, was outstanding—professional, personable, and incredibly knowledgeable. His daily briefings were clear and engaging, and he consistently adapted the itinerary to avoid crowds, allowing us to enjoy iconic spots like the pink beach in near solitude. His attention to detail and ability to read the group made every day feel seamless and special. Billy, the onboard photographer, was equally impressive. He captured breathtaking footage and underwater shots that perfectly preserved our memories—from snorkeling with rays and turtles to encounters with Komodo dragons. His work was not only technically excellent but also thoughtfully curated to reflect the spirit of the trip. The onboard dining was superb, with the chef going above and beyond to cater for our daughter’s coeliac needs. Every meal included clearly marked gluten-free options, and she always had plenty to choose from. Snorkeling, paddle boarding, and jumping off the boat added to the fun, and we always felt safe and well cared for—especially during our Komodo dragon visit, thanks to the expert rangers. Review Body: What an amazing experience it was. Thanks to Dedi and the rest of the East Indonesia Trip crew we were having lots of fun and they took very good care of us. Clear instructions and open to any questions. Dedi was not only a good guide during hikes and snorkeling but also a great photographer including underwater camera and drone shots. Snorkeling every day, sometimes multiple times a day in beatiful coral reefs. We swam with manta rays, sea turtles, sharks and other sealife. Hikes were nice for the views and pictures. The Komodo national park was very hot but seeing multiple Komodo dragons made it worth it. Back at the boat the crew already prepared meals and always welcomed us with cold towels and fresh juices. They kept the boat very clean during our stay and were super friendly. We didn't have to lift a finger. Always provided plenty of good water and the fridge was filled with soda's for us to take. The food was memorable and better than some crews on other boats serve (friend experience), restaurant-quality meals every time and always a fully new and delicious menu every meal. Dietary restrictions for guests were taken into account as well. Luckily not really a party boat but on the last night the crew showed their dance moves ;) When we left, I said to my partner that I would do this again without a doubt. Good vibes!

Review Body: We absolutely loved this experience! The whole thing was amazing. We booked mostly for the dragons but if I’m honest that wasn’t even the best part. We did everything - went snorkelling, saw incredible marine life (turtles AND manta rays, and small sharks), hiked up hills, played on the beach, saw storms and saw hundreds of bats leave the mangroves. There is a full kitchen on board with cooked breakfast, lunch and dinner provided. They said to bring snacks but we didn’t and were never hungry. There’s no alcohol on board so bring that. Roi our guide was excellent. I cannot praise him enough. He was friendly, knowledgeable, experienced and funny. What we appreciated was how he crafted the trip to give us the best experience - that meant doing things in a different order to beat the crowds and not just ticking boxes to say you saw something. There was even Bayu, a photographer/videographer who was with us the whole trip. He took photos of the whole trip - this was lovely as it was our honeymoon, so we’ve got some professional shots to remember it by. I would highly recommend this experience. The boat was clean and is well maintained. There is plenty of space to relax and you don’t feel like you’re on top of each other. Very well organised and communication was great. Thanks for making our trip so special!

Review Body: We joined the trip as a family of 4 with two 8y old kids. While initially concerned about long navigation times with kids, we were quickly proven wrong. The schedule is rich with lot of exciting stops along the way. The crew has been amazing. Nice and helpful despite the sometimes difficult conditions , the guide quick to adapt so that we could experience everything Komodo area has to offer. Despite the rainy season and bad weather in the area, we have been able to tick all the boxes. Manta Ray, Turtles, sharks, thousands of coral fishes, beautiful landscapes, flying fox and Komodo dragons. Komodo dragons parks were actually the only disappointment of the trip as the "hike" is way shorter than advertised and the only visible dragons are the one sleeping by the gate. But that is more due to how the Rinca park operates than anything that can be blamed on Seek Sophie. Food was plentiful and delicious! Very high quality! Really impressive considering it is prepared on board. Those bbq fresh snapper were so good. The on board photograph is a real pro and makes sure we got the best possible pictures in and out of the water. The tour is truly all inclusive from airport pickup to dropoff except for the 650k of National park fee.

Review Body: We had a lovely 2N3D boat trip with East Indonesia Trip. We were staying on the Carnaby which is a nice boat with privat cabins, a jacuzzi and multiple areas for relaxing in the shadow or sun. The crew was extremely kind and welcoming, the food was incredibly delicious (even lots of vegetarian options were available for each meal and there was fresh fruit). The mixture of time for relaxing and for sight seeing was perfect and we knew exactly what we could expect from each day. Very well organised with concise briefings everyday from Roberto. We got to snorkel with turtles, baby sharks, lots of fish and beautiful corals and even Manta Rays. The hikes that were chosen for this tour were stunning, seeing the flying foxes in the sunset from the ship was beautiful. We got to see the komodo dragons early in the morning when they were actively moving around Rinca Island and without the tourist crowds. In summary, this was a magical trip and the highlight of our Indonesia trip. Thank you to the whole crew! A great bonus is that the documentation of the trip with drone footage, underwater camera und pictures is included. So now we have all those memories captured in stunning fotos and videos. Review Body: Worth every cent! Just before the trip we were sent communications via what’s app. We were picked up by a driver and dropped off at the port where we met up with our shipmates. From the very start our guide (Dedi) made everyone feel welcome. His English was great and he was very personable. The staff aboard the boat saw to all our needs and were super friendly. The food was great and we did not go hungry. Most of the food consisted of seafood but not all of it. When meals were not on the table there was snacks available. The snorkeling/hiking/sightseeing was phenomenal. We swam with countless turtles. Saw manta rays,. And even got the chance to swim with baby sharks! The photography and videos done by Dedi came out stunning, I highly encourage you to utilise his skills and get some epic photos of your time. Dedi was also really great with our son (Jesse, 13) who was the only kid on board, joking around with him and teaching him tricks in the water. We are very thankful at how much Jesse enjoyed it as Dedi was a big part of that! We just loved every moment of this. It’s not our usual thing (we’re more adventure/off the beaten path travellers) but this was the highlight of our trip!

Review Body: I booked the 3 days + 2 night phinishi boat Komodo Island hopping trip for my family, 2 adults and 2 teenagers. Our trip was last week of April 2025. We had a wonderful experience, the crew were fantastic, provided great service, we felt safe throughout. There was delicious food plenty for our family and the other 11 guests, there was a very friendly atmosphere. This was an amazing experience, including the hiking, snorkeling, swimming, lovely clean clear water and beaches on some of the islands we visited. The crew and our guide Roberto were fantastic, knew exactly where to take us and were fortunate to see the manta rays, baby sharks, giant turtles. We also visited komodo island and saw the komodo dragons. We had to pay additional IDR 600k fee for visiting all the islands including komodo national park. For the hiking up the hills to see sunrise and views, good footwear and fitness is recommended, else the treck will probably be quite difficult. But you can skip that part if you want to and just stay in boat or enjoy beach below, while everyone else goes up. Overall we all had an amazing experience, ond that will probably be memorable as one of the best.

Review Body: We absolutely loved our experience on this cruise. We have been travelling through Asia for a while and this was a highlight of our whole trip. First of all, the crew was exceptional. They were genuinely kind, attentive, and always there to help. They had good knowledge of what was happening around us and tried to avoid crowded places. Overall, they did a great job of this. The food was very good for all meals and even yummy snacks and juices after our excursions. We were even greeted with a cold towel coming out of the water! (what a treat) The boat was a perfect size. You could spend time with other travellers in comfortable lounge areas, or easily find an area to be by yourself. Finally, the excursions were the most memorable part. We saw a beautiful sunrise over the mountains, saw many Komodo dragons, swam with Manta Rays, sea turtles, baby sharks and many beautiful coral reefs. We even saw dolphins swimming with our boat. It was an experience we will never forget. Our wonderful photographer/snorkle master (Gambal - not sure about spelling) was a magician for finding marine life. He really helped make the experience great! He also left us with amazing photographs.

Review Body: What an incredible experience! The boat’s outdoor space was absolutely beautiful, and everything we could possibly need was provided—from delicious (also vegetarian) meals and snacks throughout the day to snorkeling gear, a kayak, and a SUP. The crew went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable at all times. Our guide, Roi, was fantastic—friendly, attentive, and always making sure we avoided the big crowds so our small group could truly enjoy each spot. Another highlight was Bayu, the photographer. His passion and experience were clear in every shot. Not only did he document the trip beautifully, but he also found time for some amazing photo sessions with his underwater camera and drone. This was without a doubt the highlight of our trip to Indonesia so far. I also really appreciated how respectful the crew was toward the environment and wildlife, which made the whole experience even more meaningful. Before the trip I was a little concerned about the noise the motor makes from other reviews. I can absolutely confirm that it is impossible to sleep while the motor is running.
