This is a refreshing and energetic experience of Balinese martial art, which takes place in mud! Get dirty in the rice mud paddies while playing fun games like- muddy tug of war, Kecak body painting with Papuan dance along with Gamelan (Balinese traditional music). This activity is suitable for all ages, and like all martial arts has been made not to train ‘fighters’ but rather to foster a sense of respect and bond with others. It will have you working up a good sweat, whilst simultaneously experiencing this unique sport only found in Bali. This is not just a physical experience, guests will learn a lot about Balinese culture and the history of martial arts. After all the muddy thrills, relax with a mud sauna paired with a coffee scrub and freshly brewed local coffee! The host also prepares soap for you to take a shower afterwards. Once you've freshened up, enjoy a delightful healthy lunch or dinner at Mepantigan's traditional bamboo house. The host only uses natural ingredients and cooks it using firewood.About MepantiganPutu Witsen, a former Taekwondo athlete, developed a new style of martial art, combining Balinese tradition and culture with martial art techniques, he called it Mepantigan. By design, it's a fusion of the local culture (gamelan music and Balinese dance- performing arts), nature (takes place in the rice mud fields) and Pencak Silat (Balinese/ Indonesian martial art). Participants are dressed in Balinese Tridatu (3-coloured) sarong, if one were to translate it, means three powers. White awakens goodness in spirit; red evokes creativity and bravery; whilst black is synonymous with power or protection from bad spirits.Approximate travel times with moderate trafficFrom Ubud - 25minFrom Canggu - 1hFrom Kuta - 50minFrom Seminyak - 55minFrom Uluwatu - 1h30min
