This was not just a beautiful hotel but an incredible experience.
 The PD lodge was out of this world - looking out onto primary rainforest - wildlife everywhere.
 Our nature guide Nick, was exceptional. We had multiple walks, night drive and swam in a natural pool in the forest.

 It is a very special place. Two of our party did the tree climb - extraordinary.
 Food was incredible - how they manage this miles from any other kind of life I really don't know!
 Only slight negative was a very pushy maitre d trying to sell us wine and not recognising personal space - larger than life and unnecessary.

What an amazing place. The experience and care they provide is top notch. They really look after you. The chef Mininn and his staff makes good food. Zionel the food manager is a wonderul host and has a great singing voice! Our guide Dexter was amazing and every trek we went on we saw different animals and insects. It is truely a bucket list place.

Indescribable. Luxury accommodation literally in the jungle. Highly knowledgeable guides, great (if super sweaty walks) and fantastic food. A once in a lifetime experience. Find the cash - it’s worth it.

Wonderful experience but they sell 3Days and 2Nights but in reality you arrive in the camp late afternoon the 1st day and you come back early morning on the 3rd day.

This is paradise in the middle of the jungle. The nature is incredible, the facility just beautiful, all meals are amazing. The best part of the lodge is truly the staff. From driver, over the housekeeping, to our tour guide and all the employees in the restaurant and bar. They are always smiling, attentive, helpful and so welcoming. A unique experience we will not forget.

Everything about this award winning resort is exceptional. The setting is majestic - in a bend on the Danum river right in the middle of primary rainforest. The lodge blends into its environment. So thoughtfully designed. The guides are amazing. They're so knowledgeable and passionate. We had Kalvin who was exceptional. Given this is a 2.5 hour journey in unpaved road from the nearest town, it's a wonder how the lodge is so immaculately kept and it's a real credit to all the team. The food is buffet style and superb. There is a cold room for fruit and desserts. The villas are spacious, clean and come equipped with all amenities. There is a heated plunge pool on the balcony where you can watch the rainforest around you. We saw many wildlife on the trails, but being in the rainforest itself was a truly magical experience. As well as guided trails, there are plenty of other activities - canopy walk, cycling, tree climbing, river rafting, etc. There is a small shop onsite selling souvenirs and essentials (including leech socks!). I cannot recommend Borneo Rainforest Lodge highly enough. It's a remote luxury resort - wish we were staying longer!

Possibly the most well rated lodge for wildlife in Borneo and deservedly so. The virgin rainforest is spectacular, with lots of wildlife sightings possible. The estate has done a tremendous job with the various trails including the canopy walk (stunning!).
 It is a 2.5hr drive from Lahad Datu, so not easy to get to. Danum Valley is worth it though and there is no better place to be!
 Service and food could not be better!! Variety , quality, attention to detail 10/10
 The only room for improvement is on the rooms. I mentioned it to reception and they tried to help. Some of the rooms are dated so perhaps try Premium Deluxe or above.
