We spent two and a half days with Mo, and the experience will remain one of our best memories. If you are looking for an authentic adventure off the beaten track, you will not be disappointed!

We explored caves and went hiking through the jungle, following trails used by wild animals. We even came across elephant and tiger footprints. At every location, we had the place entirely to ourselves, which made the experience even more special and immersive.

Mo is very friendly, approachable, and accommodating. He is truly passionate about sharing his region and his knowledge with visitors.

I highly recommend him to anyone looking for an authentic experience away from mass tourism!

I contacted Mo for a last minute tour after arriving in Malaysia and he responded very quickly and was super easy to communicate and plan with. He tailored the tour to our interests and showed us amazing birds, wild animal tracks from tigers, elephants, bears, tiger and much more. His knowledge about the environment and its inhabitants was remarkable and it was clear he had a real passion for this. He went the extra mile by picking us up from our accomodation and taking us to breakfast (as we hadn’t planned that ahead). It was absolutely wonderful to get to know this beautiful national park through a friendly guide like him.

An amazing adventure! My trek led by Alex and Adi, a member of the Bateq tribe, in March 2026 was a unique experience. Learning how tigers are endangered by poachers and the protection work MyCC does, including taking volunteers out to trek in the forest, was only capped by actually seeing a tiger on a camera trap walking the very route we were on! It’s great to know that as a volunteer walker I have helped support that protection work.

You knew from the presentation on the first evening that you were in the hands of people who knew what they were talking about – people committed to protecting this very important part of the rainforest. The trek on our second day confirmed how knowledgeable they are – all very inspiring. The trip ended with meeting some of the local Bateq men who are part of the forest restoration team and helping them to plant some of the saplings grown in MyCC’s own nursery. A really worthwhile and enjoyable experience.

 Mo also explained the history of the caves perfectly and shared a lot of interesting information about the Marapoh jungle. We learned so much while having a lot of fun at the same time.
 It was a fantastic experience overall, and we highly recommend Mo as a guide. If you’re feeling nervous, there are also easier options available, so everyone can enjoy the caves at their own pace.
