Immerse yourself in Thailand’s rich culture—temples, tuk-tuks and tasty street eats await in every vibrant city!

I did the “3D2N Best of Khao Sok” experience, which consisted of a Farmstay at Ample Forest on the first night, and the following night spent in a Floating Bungalow on the lake. As a young solo backpacker, I enjoyed this experience but found it to be overpriced. 

The Farmstay was in a really beautiful jungle location. I paid for a private taxi transfer to and from the start/end points, and found the drivers (from Ample Forest) to be very kind and welcoming. When I arrived at the Farmstay, I was surprised to be what seemed like the only guest there on the 3D2N experience, and felt a bit confused about what I was going to be doing and when. Though the setting was beautiful, I would have enjoyed it more if I had company. There was also a lot of down time on the first day, whereas I had imagined there might be more organised activities. In the early evening I did a cooking class with a lovely woman at the Farmstay. This was a highlight of the experience - it was really incredible to witness the cooking process, which included picking a bunch of herbs from the farm/garden. I felt a lot of awe and it was very magical to get to enjoy a dinner that I had helped to craft from scratch! Also, the portion was VERY generous. The room at the Farmstay is lovely and has A/C. 

On Day 2, I was driven to a pickup point where I joined a big group of young backpackers for the Lake Bungalow Stay. All of them had been staying at hostels in Khao Sok and were only doing a 2D1N experience. I was really pleased to have company, and met some amazing people. The rest of the trip included lots of organised travel and activities, with some down time too and group meals. The longboat ride to and from the lake stay was absolutely stunning, though crowded. It was an amazing place to stay. The bungalows themselves were extremely basic - no fans, and sharing a room with fellow travellers. But this wasn’t a problem for one night and just added to the experience. As a young person it was very social and lots of fun! You could kayak from the bungalows, which was awesome. We went on a ‘hike’ on day 2 and cave trip on day 3. Both had good scenery but were frustratingly slow because of how big the group was. I guess over 20 people, or bigger? 

In retrospect, I wish that I’d just done the 2D1N lake visit because it would have been much cheaper (my peers there paid much less than I did!) and more social. It felt like the two parts of the trip were disjointed, and you should maybe just pick one or the other. The Farmstay was beautiful, and I would recommend it more for couples or older travellers with more budget who might stay there for a couple nights &amp; enjoy the surrounding national park at their own pace. For backpackers, it seems like booking the lake visit through a Khao Sok hostel is a better and more popular option. Hope that helps!

Private Cheow Lan Day Trip | Expert Guide, Bamboo Raft & Coral Cave

My wife and I had a wonderful and informative day out at Coral Cave and Cheow Lan Lake with our guide, Kob. She was extremely patient throughout the day and made the experience far more interesting by pointing out many different animals during the walk to the cave that we would otherwise have missed. Her knowledge of the area and its wildlife really enhanced the visit, and everything was organised smoothly. The lunch stop was also excellent, with delicious food at the restaurant overlooking the lake. A memorable day in a beautiful part of Thailand.

Loved our stay at the farm , notice that the farm is not the one operating the tour to the lake , so while the stay in the farm and the cooking class were very nice and in a small group, the lake stay is in a larger group.

The family in the farm were very friendly and welcoming, the room is more than enough with ac and comfortable beds.

Sunny was our guide in the cooking class and was so funny and energetic 
 Also notice that the bunglows at the lake are very veryyy humble , its almost like camping😅 but we were fine with it because the view was beautiful.

Overall we had a great time on the farm and in the forest 👍🏻👍🏻

Krabi Island Hopping on Lux Longtail Boat | Picnic on Poda Island

Amazing experience with the team! We had a wonderful time exploring the different islands with fewer crowds, picnic lunch was delicious and overall experience was very enjoyable! 

Summary: BEST DAY EVER!!

Communication &amp; Pick up- seamless 
 Morning coffee at the shop- top quality 
 Gear- new clean light comfortable helmets. Excellent condition Treck mountain bikes with beautiful suspension and gearing perfect for the terrain and easy to operate. 
 Route- fun, varied, challenging but achievable… and if not, there is always the truck that can pick you up and take you the rest of the way 
 Sight seeing- the mountains views and caves were very special and the sticky waterfall an absolute MUST whether you take this tour to get there or not. 
 Food- perfect amount of healthy snacks water electrolytes along the way and your choice from a restaurant for late lunch as a reward at the end of it all. 
 Guide- the king of the mountain; Kom is calm, funny, patient, supportive, and takes lots of photos and videos. 
 I’m 44, female, and ride about 20km/week on flat roads, and have never done mountain biking before… I am now very happy very proud and very tired… if I can do it so can you! And if you are fit and strong and a regular mountain biker, I’m sure you will also enjoy the opportunity immensely.

Guide- the king of the mountain; Kom is calm, funny, patient, supportive, and takes lots of photos and videos.

We had THE most wonderful afternoon and evening with Vivi riding through the city. Her knowledge of the back streets and the local hidden gems as well as the big ticket tourist spots were extensive. We felt safe following her through the busy streets at times and were surprised to find ourselves in very quiet back streets at other times. She shared her knowledge of the history and culture of the area freely and clearly, and she clearly loves her city. The bikes are good quality and well maintained. The helmets are new and comfortable, and the included drinks and snacks make for a nice touch. I highly recommend this tour!!

Hidden Chiang Mai | A Twilight Cycling Adventure

We had THE most wonderful afternoon and evening with Vivi riding through the city. Her knowledge of the back streets and the local hidden gems as well as the big ticket tourist spots were extensive. We felt safe following her through the busy streets at times and were surprised to find ourselves in very quiet back streets at other times. She shared her knowledge of the history and culture of the area freely and clearly, and she clearly loves her city. The bikes are good quality and well maintained. The helmets are new and comfortable, and the included drinks and snacks make for a nice touch. I highly recommend this tour!!
