Maybe not for some people but my wife and I really enjoyed the experience even if we were attacked by land leeches haha.
Not as extreme and adventurous as I originally hoped for ( my wife was grateful for ) But I give a 5 star review because it was totally worth the money and it was a lot of fun to spend 24 hours with JaJa and to get to know him a little.

We loved staying at Praiwan Raft House. It's hidden in a far corner of Khao Sok (one hour by a speed boat to reach it), and probably because of that we were able to spot a wild Thailand bear, a wild boar, monkeys, a varan and... An elephant who was bathing in the lake! Incredible. The houses are confortable and our family house had a private bathroom. Everything was perfectly organized, and the food was very fresh and tasty. It goes without saying that you need to be able to swim to stay there, because it is really a raft house on a water - so not suitable for infants and very small kids!

Our stay was awesome!! We went during the off season and there were only a few other people at the resort, and the staff was very attentive and so nice! They even told us to take the kayaks because they heard elephants and sure enough, we saw two wild elephants and a huge group of monkeys! The room didn’t have any AC which is very common, but the bed was comfortable, and of course the view outside was so cool. The food was also delicious! Very cool experience and I highly recommend!

Our guide Bee was lovely and informative. We loved learning about the elephants, and their day to day lives and history. The kids loved chopping sugar cane with a machete for the elephants too.
