had a great hike thanks to guide ayu and driver komang! pickup was about 2:15am, and we drove about an hour to mt batur. unfortunately it was cloudy and we couldn't see the sunrise but we still enjoyed the misty mountain views and cool temperature! ayu was also amazingly helpful, even holding my hand during the slippery bits haha. we did request to switch the hot springs to the tegallang rice terrace instead, which wasn't as much fun because it was super crowded and full of tourists. nevertheless, komang was very patient and even helped us to queue! lunch was ok, gorgeous views though so no complaints.

We had amazing day on Alexandria cruise. From pick up the day went so smoothly! The staff were lovely and had amazing English. We headed to Padar island before the crowds, then pink beach which was empty! Getting up and oht early meant at each spot we pretty much beat the crowds and had some places all to ourselves. Next stops where komodo, a beautiful sandbar and lots of amazing snorkel spots. We saw turtles, komdo dragons, reef sharks, manta rays! All in their natural habitat which was amazing. We got given water throughout the day and had a lovely lunch. I would really really recommend this trip if you are up for a busy day!

One of our favourite experiences throughout our 3 week trip in Indonesia! We were welcomed with such kindness and warmth by our incredible guide, Wayan's family, and Wayan. The home cooked meal was intimate and delicious. The lab tour and walk around the land were fascinating, so informative, and inspiring. We asked so many questions and learned so much! And then being able see the fireflies at night in all their glory, both in the lab and in the rice fields, was so beautiful and moving. We had never seen fireflies in real life before and it was more magical than we could've imagined. We're so thankful to the team at Taman Dukuh Farm for their conservation work and for sharing this experience with us!

We can only recommend this experience. Our day with Komang (dody) was incredible He was super friendly, open to questions but also curious about our culture as well, opened his family’s house for lunch (camp base) and made sure all the time that we felt comfortable. For sure one of the greatest guides you can ask for ! The local guide for the forest trekking was also an amazing person and professional, she explained about every little plant and noise we would see and hear during the walk and also thought us some words in Balinese. We had the opportunity to do this trekking with her daughter as well and that made the experience even more magical. This will for sure be one of the most unforgettable experiences ever . Thank you so much for opening your hearts to us!
