Located outside the bustling area of Ubud, Five Arts Studio offered a peaceful environment that allows for so much creativity. I was guided by a few wonderfully patient teachers who guided and explained to me each step of the process, and learnt the true meaning of the word 'batik'. My piece was inspired by a piece hanging on the wall, so the artist himself showed me his technique to get the waves in the background. The studio itself offers five different types of workshops which include batik, wood carving and miniature Keliki painting. Thank you Seek Sophie for helping me discover this incredible gem, I would 100% return on my next Bali trip :-)

We were a group of 12, with kids ranging from 8 to 12 years old, and this itinerary was absolutely perfect for our group. The hike up Padar Island was stunning, the Komodo dragon tracking thrilling, and swimming at the Pink Beach—yes, it’s really pink!—was a highlight for everyone. The snorkeling exceeded expectations. The coral reefs were vibrant and full of life—honestly, better than some reefs we’ve seen in the Maldives! We spotted black tip sharks, turtles, and a rainbow of marine life. One of the most magical moments was the evening sunset cruise to see the bats at Kalong Island (Flying Foxes). Watching them take flight against the setting sun was unforgettable. PS: Warren was incredibly helpful throughout the trip. He made sure the kids were always happy with plenty of snacks, and complimentary bottled water and Coke were a thoughtful touch.

Hidden foresty trail with mum, enjoyed a beautiful sunrise. Enjoyed immensely, highlight of my short Bali trip. This was an amazing climb on Batur Caldera. Started with the driver (Kadek - great at maneuvering the roads) picking us up at 2.30am from Ubud and driving us meet our tour guide (Denis - helped us out a lot and took nice photos for us!) At 4am, we took a short boat ride to get to the starting point of the caldera and had a lovely view of the stars. When we arrived, Denis passed us climbing sticks and we started the steep climb, with knees already at 90 degrees. While it was a little scary since the trail is narrow, dark and at the edge of the mountain, Denis was very encouraging and helped me up at the challenging parts and I was really panting, while my 60 year old mum managed fine. Ground wasn’t very slippery, weather was good. We took about 50min to get to the top, and it was cold while waiting for the sunrise but we enjoyed the breakfast. Got some lovely shots of the sunrise, and it was just such a great reward. Then our driver took us to Akasa Coffee where we had a 2nd breakfast with a nice jungle view, then sent us back after where we slept soundly. Highly recommend this intermediate trail. Can bring bar snacks around to hand to the kids living in there :) Many thanks to Justin who answered my million queries before confirming the booking, appreciate this so much 🙏🏼

A deeply meaningful and unforgettable experience Our purification ritual with Putu and her cousins was absolutely incredible. They patiently explained everything to us — from how to prepare the offerings to the meaning behind each part of the ceremony. We also learned about each holy spring and what it represents, which added so much depth to the experience. It was far more meaningful than just visiting a crowded temple. The temple itself is beautiful and much more peaceful than others we’ve seen, like Tirta Empul. I went on a Monday and it was slightly rainy, so maybe that helped, but I truly felt this place is quieter and more intimate by nature. Most of all, I want to sincerely thank Putu and her cousins for guiding us through such a special moment. It was heartfelt, spiritual, and full of purpose. I’ll carry this memory — and all of you — in my heart forever. I couldn’t recommend this experience more. Don’t think twice — just do it.

Wow, this is one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. Putu was a beautiful soul who helped me articulate what brought me to the temple and then led me through a guided meditation and the water purification ceremony that left me feeling calm and exhilarated at the same time. It was a truly spiritual experience at one of the most beautiful temples in Bali. Highly recommend if you’ve come to Bali searching for something deeper.

How do Gift Experiences work?

It's easy - just pick a gift experience, send it to your loved one at your selected date, and they will receive an email on the date you have selected! Gift experiences have a 1 year expiry so your recipient can choose any date during that year to redeem the gift experience. You'll also be copied on the gift email that the recipient receives so you know exactly when they have received their gift! :)

Can the recipient select their own date for the experience?

Yes, they can! Recipients have the flexibility to choose any date for their experience within a year of receiving the gift. It’s completely stress-free.

When will the Gift be sent?

You can select the date the gift is sent during checkout. The gift will be emailed to the recipient at 8am on the chosen date. The one-year validity period starts from this date.

How do I know when the Gift has been sent?

You’ll be copied on the gift email sent to the recipient, so you’ll know exactly when it’s been delivered.

Can Gift Experiences be exchanged for cash?

Gift cards are all about creating fun and meaningful memories! They cannot be exchanged for cash. But if your recipient prefers another experience, we can swap out their experience for a gift card.
