Unwind & slow down - forage for herbs, paint with indigo, soak in hot springs
If you're looking for a quick reset away from the city, this cosy and rustic farmstay tucked away in Chiang Dao might be just what you need.Stay overnight at the loveliest farm in handmade bamboo eco-houses. You'll get to slow down and reconnect with nature - doing yoga by the lotus pond, eco-printing with flowers and stones from the garden, foraging for edible herbs, and soaking in natural hidden hot springs. The meals here are one of the best - homemade from the freshest ingredients from the organic farm and if you feel like it, you can even join the chefs in the kitchen to cook!About the farmstayThis heartfelt bamboo eco-sanctuary is lovingly built by Yidan. She was originally from China, came to Thailand for work, and somehow found herself in Chiang Dao, after a big life shift left her feeling burnt out. She wanted to reconnect with herself, and found that the quietness and slow life of Chiang Dao was what she needed to heal. So with her savings and her dog Lucky, she built this bamboo home (by hand!) and started a small organic garden. Now, she works closely with the locals to nurture this thoughtful space - a sanctuary for anyone who needs a little rest. Why Chiang Dao?Just 90 minutes north of Chiang Mai, Chiang Dao is a beautiful mountainous and forested region, known for its quiet valleys, hot springs, and breathtaking views of Doi Luang. Life moves slowly here, with animals wandering around - the kind of place you go to when you need a reset. What to ExpectOne night stay at the farmstay - a cozy space with basic yet comfortable facilities, nestled between rice paddies and mountains.Go on a guided farm tour and hear the inspiring story behind this beautiful spaceRelax in an evening soak at a hidden natural hot springYummy homemade meals shared around a big communal tableGentle yoga stretches by a peaceful lotus pondSuper friendly farm crew: cats, dogs, chickens, and ducks who might just follow you aroundGet creative in a natural pigment painting workshop using flowers and stonesSlow down, reconnect, and be part of a warm community for a dayGood to KnowTransportation from Chiang Dao bus station to the farmstay is includedBest suited for nature lovers, creatives, and reflective types – not a jam-packed itineraryYou’re welcome to roll up your sleeves and get your hands a little dirty in the kitchen if you feel like it!Lunch on Day 2 at a local restaurant is not includedTransport between Chiang Mai city and the farmstay is not providedCancellation policyCancel more than 10 days before your retreat: You'll receive a full refundCancel 7–5 days before: A 30% cancellation fee will be chargedCancel less than 5 days before: A 50% cancellation fee will be charged

Meet your host

Yidan moved to Chiang Dao after a big life shift and found something she didn’t know she was looking for—a place that reminded her of the countryside where she spent the happiest years of her childhood. Originally from China, she came to Thailand for work, but it was the stillness of Chiang Dao that made her stay. With just her savings, her dog Lucky, and a lot of heart, she built a bamboo home and started a small organic garden. She now works closely with local, creating something thoughtful and rooted in the land. Yidan’s space isn’t flashy—it’s quiet, genuine, and built with care, much like the way she lives.
