Review Body: Friends and I went on a weekend trip to saifana and participated in their garden tour and cooking class. I can only recommend the place! Their knowledge and passion for regenerative farming is incredible. You learn so much. The family and staff have the happiest vibes. The food is all fresh from the garden. And the animals (along with all of their personalities) are the icing on the cake. ☺️

Review Body: I highly highly recommend a visit here. I wanted to check out and organic farm while in Indo and I'm so grateful I found Saifana. Right away, we were greeted with the warmest welcome. The host rememebered and referred to us by name throughout the day we were there. We wanted to stay overnight but they were fully booked and I now understand why. We did a cooking class with a young girl who spoke excellent English and together we created the yummiest meal with super fresh and organic ingredients. We couldn't finish it so they put it in the fridge for us and heated it up for us to have for dinner. THey have a little "shop" and a library and some board games in the cafe. Everyone was so so lovely and the whole farm just has really good vibes. I would go back to Lombok just to go to this farm!

Review Body: A fascinating experience to learn about bees, and especially the stingless trigona bee, native to tropical areas. Juli is a super knowledgable guide who's enthusiasm and curiosity for bee keeping and farming is infectious. This close up encounter with the bees, learning about their ecosystem and lives (think Game of Thrones level of palace intrigue) makes this typically threatening creature a truly admirable point of interest. Highly recommend!! Walking around the farm and seeing all super interesting and tasty plants (cashew nuts, mulberries, bananas!) around is a bonus!

Review Body: Such a great experience! 🐝 Juli was super informative guide and somehow made me way more interested in bees than I ever expected. Learning how important they are to the farm’s ecosystem was eye-opening. Tasting honey straight from different hives was honestly a core memories, each colony tastes different, which felt like a honey tasting flight 😄 Seeing how they harvest the honey without hurting the bees was really cool too. At one point it genuinely felt like watching a National Geographic episode… but live. Highly recommend!

Review Body: What a lovely place! Great cooking class! We heard about this place through a friend, and we are glad we have been there! The atmosphere is very relaxing and very friendly, we feel that is much more than just a business, but a big family wanting to share. The staff is lovely, products are excellent with very fair price. We took part of the cooking class and we loved it ! Thanks to the lovely staff !

Review Body: Hidden gem with great staff and delicious organic food straight from the garden. We definitely enjoyed our stay a lot with our family of four. Kids played the whole day in the garden, guesthouse and with the kittens. We did a couple of workshops and learned a lot about gardening and the trigona bees. We recommend this place if you like to live close to nature.

The team here is warm and welcoming and had so much knowledge to share about the garden, the bees and the cooking. It was very special to share this experience with our family who was visiting Indonesia for the first time. Thank you to everyone at the farm.

Review Body: Its magic on every level, a beautiful space, people and food. The Sasak Cooking experience is fabulous in the outdoor kitchen cooking over fire. Nia and her assistant walk you through some of the local Sasak customs around life and food and by the end a veritable feast is produced. It’s very special, come hungry!

See a very different (and real!) side to Lombok, with a family changing lives
Most people come to Lombok for its beaches and mountains, but leave without really understanding the island and what makes it tick. This visit to a regenerative farm lets you meet people making a real difference in their community, and come away feeling more connected to Lombok and its people. Here, you'll visit a family-run regenerative farm and taste whatever’s in season straight from the plant — from crunchy long beans and mulberries to fresh herbs. You’ll meet the farm animals too, and see how plants, animals and insects all work together as one connected ecosystem. You’ll also learn about traditional and sustainable ways of farming — like why flowers are planted beside eggplants to keep pests away, how seeds are saved from one generation to the next, and how these old techniques can help crops become more resilient to climate change. This farm is doing really important work in Lombok because many farmers rely on monocrops that can be damaging to the land. This family is trying to show there’s another way: growing food while rebuilding the soil, protecting biodiversity and helping other farmers learn more sustainable methods. Their work goes beyond farming too. They support women and girls in the surrounding community who face issues including child marriage and domestic abuse. So you come away not just understanding regenerative agriculture, but also supporting the inspiring social justice work of the farmers here.Highly recommended if you want to see a more thoughtful side of Lombok beyond the usual sightseeing! What to ExpectRelaxed guided walk around the farm to explore all kinds of edible plants — fruits, vegetables, herbs, and rootsMeet the resident farm animals and understand their part in the ecosystemTry seasonal produce right off the plant — things like mulberries, herbs, and crunchy long beansHear from the local team who live and breathe regenerative farmingLearn the stories of the founders and about their work in the communityGood to KnowThis is a super easy walk suitable for all ages (minimum 4 years old) — beginners friendlyTransport to the farm isn’t included, but you can add it on when booking (add-on available)No meals or overnight stays are included, but these can also be added if you're keen to stick around (add-on available)

Meet your host

Sutikno and his wife, Anne-Sophie, started their journey in Lombok back in 2013. They returned to Indonesia after years abroad where they worked in development agencies in countries as far flung as Mali and Laos. They were ready to settle down and without even seeing the land first, they bought it to help someone in a medical emergency. What they got was dry, rocky ground—but they rolled up their sleeves and slowly transformed it into a thriving farm using regenerative practices. Over the years their kindness extends far beyond growing vegetables on the farm — they now share their sustainable permaculture farming knowledge widely with community in hopes that they can improve farming practices across the island, allowing the soil to regenerate from decades of monocropping. They also work to empower local women, who face child marriage and domestic violence in northern Lombok, by giving them meaningful employment and teaching them English. Their cup is always overflowing with love and care for their community.
