Review Body: There are Private Dining experiences. And then there's the experience curated by Chel Al and warm, wonderful Natalie. The food was scrumptious, the conversation was hearty, the menu thoughtfully curated and the home was so tasteful, with the owners' past & present peeking out of every nook & cranny. Chef Al and Natalie were extremely gracious hosts, shorn of any formality but extremely respectful. There were not only patient as I asked them a hundred questions about their things, but rather engaged. I highly recommend this-- I have never been so full of food that was so easy on my gut, simply because it was expertly made. It was truly a lovely evening. My best wishes to them both

Review Body: We were looking for a private dining experience in a shophouse near our place for my sis bdae and Med@59JCT met our requirements. The meals were filling and a great delight to all of us. The 7-course Mediterranean were from different places and not typical of what you find in restaurants. Warm hospitality during the house tour and meal.

Review Body: Booked our 1st Private dining experience with MED59JCT via Seeksophie.
Mr Al (chef & owner) reached out almost immediately via whatsapp. I shared with him our purpose of the meal and he was kind enough to recommend & arrange the dessert as a surprise cake for our friend.
It was 3 Adults Saturday Lunch and it was just us - very lovely and cosy setting. Appt starts at 12pm. Natalie (Wife) and Al (Chef) was very lovely and warmed welcome us into their homes. we are BEYOND SHOCK and until now in AWE of their home.
Al (Chef & Owner) mentioned that the menu changes every time and you won't get the same food.
I always appreciate vendor that prepares in advance without having us wait for our what we paid for. The moment we are done with introduction he started of with the first dish - Vege sticks with hummus & egg plant dip. YUMS and refreshing.
2nd dish was the tomato tart - which at first sounds underwhelming but wow, the tomatoes were specially picked. A Medley of different tomatoes singing in your mouth. very well seasoned and you can tell that Al had put so much heart into it with making sure that the tart retains the integrity of the texture with the topping being a very juicey one. The tart was NOT AT ALL soggy and was really memorable.
I can't remember the name of the dish but it was a samosa shaped cheese filling items that was pipping hot and freshly cooked with a squeeze of lemon. BOMB Dish.
One of my top favourite was a also the very simple but flavour bomb prawns! Very Fresh Very Juicy Very Demure. I had about 6-7pieces on my own without having all of us fight for any. We was generously portioned and we were secretly hoping to have some bread to soak up the access prawn oil at the end of the bowl.
There after we have another star of the show - chicken drumsticks (sorry i didn't catch the name) served with pearl couscous - again, it was 3pax but there was about 7-8 pieces of drum sticks within. VERY VERY Generous. and he made sure his guests were happy and satisfied. Chicken was juice and bone dropping. couscous soaked up the gravy.
Lastly we had a Christian inspired cake with a cross shaped décor above. Al was so lovely to get special 'happy birthday' candles for us and helped us with group pictures.
If you would alcohol option you could do a top up.
We loved that both the host occasionally come by to speak to us about their dish etc and also separately gave us space to catch up giving us good privacy as well.
Lastly, Al was very nice to give us a good house tour and shared with us all this though processes of the house. The details that Natalie and himself put in where amazing and you an see the house full of their life experiences and memories in one sacred space.
They do have cats & dogs but they put them away when they have appts. no signs of smell of animal items around. very clean very considerate. :)
Will definitely want to join for other events or sundown cocktails etc at their rooftop attic area in the near future!

Review Body: Had such a wonderful birthday lunch at Dining@59JCT. The house is absolutely beautiful and creates such a warm, comfortable atmosphere that makes you feel at home from the moment you walk in.
Chef Al was incredibly welcoming and engaging throughout the meal, sharing fascinating stories about the dishes, Mediterranean culture, and his culinary journey, which made the experience even more memorable.
The food was outstanding from start to finish, with the tagine being a definite highlight; rich, flavourful, and beautifully prepared.
As a special birthday surprise, Chef Al baked a Tarta de Santiago for me, and it was really flavourful. It was such a thoughtful gesture and the perfect ending to an amazing meal. Thank you to Chef Al and Natalie for the wonderful hospitality and unforgettable experience. I would highly recommend Dining@59JCT for anyone looking for a unique and intimate Mediterranean dining experience in Singapore.

Review Body: I came across Med@59JCT while searching for a unique Father’s Day gift for both my husband and dad. We were not disappointed - and in fact, came away with not only a culinary and gastronomic experience, but also an afternoon of really stimulating and eye-opening conversations with the hosts, Al and Natalie (who I guarantee will be among the most interesting and unique Singaporeans you’ll ever meet). The setting of the private kitchen itself is an architectural and design marvel. The dishes and the stories behind them were tantalising (and my dad was so happy to take home leftovers). The wine choices were plentiful and the two we picked were delicious. Al and Natalie with their warm hospitality and intriguing life stories were just the icing on the cake. It was one of the best dining experiences I have ever had and highly recommend it.

Review Body: We had a cook and dine session with Al and Nat. The entire process of preparing our dinner from scratch was refreshing!
They were very patient in explaining how to make every dish, and elaborated on ways to improve our culinary skills (how to roll the dough, how to best batter our meat). We had mediterranean food this time but we found out that they also have 6 other types of culinary to go with - so we definitely will have to come back again!
They also have a very beautiful decorated house which prizes all their lovely treasures from all over the world. It was like going into a museum itself, seeing artifacts from all over the world!
Nothing beats eating your own homecooked food - but with the highest quality of food ingredients!
Truly thank Al and Natalie for making this experience so wholesome!

Review Body: This isn’t our first private dining experience, but it is certainly the most personal one we had. Al made us feel at home in his beautiful abode. It was more than just a dining experience, more like making a friend who is top at making Mediterranean dishes, and sharing the dishes he grew up with, as well as his life stories.
The food portions are generous, and he offered to keep the leftovers for us in his fridge while we headed out after lunch.
He also did a homemade cake for my girlfriend’s birthday. Having had one too many cakes for her birthday, the one Al made was simple, homely, yet different from all that we had.
For this price, I highly recommend you opting for this over any Mediterranean restaurants out there. The superhost status is completely warranted for.

Review Body: Ahhh, so freaking good! My tastebuds lean towards Southeast Asian so usually not craaazy about Western cuisines but this was SO good! The salsa had great kick - loved the spices... One the freshest prawns I've ever eaten, the heads were just bursting w juices. The chicken was slide of the bones tender that came in really wholesome stew. Al is such a delightttful host, warm, informative, and funny as well! The ambience was greatttt, so cool to do the house tour and see all Al and Natalie's travel collections from all around the world - they rly have the coolest souvenirs! They also have a cat and a dog who he let us meet (Mightve been the highlight of highlight for me, hehehe) Thanks Al for the amazing lunchhh!

Review Body: I went for a company team lunch and overall, enjoyed my afternoon at Med@59JCT last week! The spread of food was really good, not to mention the portions were really generous - especially the prawns! I honestly thought that was the end of the meal but turns out there was still a main and a dessert as well! Another notable mention is the cocktail on the menu -Sangria which accompanied the rest of the food well.
Aside from food, the host himself, AI had lots of stories to share, both about the food as well as travel stories from his past experience! We were also learnt that he owned both a dog and a cat which he was kind enough to let us meet them too! Overall a really good experience (:

Review Body: We had a lovely time at Al’s STUNNING home, spending the morning cooking delicious Moroccan food.
Al’s instructions were easy to follow and he showed us how to put together some mouthwatering dishes (while doing a lot of the heavy lifting himself, thanks Al!) The cooking included a lot of taste testing of Al’s most special ingredients from all over the world, from olive oil to REAL cinnamon, which our team really enjoyed.
The meal itself at the end was a delicious way to just sit and spend time together over a delicious home cooked meal.
10/10 would recommend as a great way to spend time with friends, family or coworkers while learning something new.
