Leksa Ganesha is a warm, welcoming artist collective tucked away in the peaceful village of Tembi, just outside Yogyakarta. Founded by Tatang Elmy Wibowo and Aprat Koeswadji, it sits beside Tatang’s family home – a place where his father once created batik before tending to the rice fields. The gallery brings together a talented group of local batik artists, offering them a space to share their work and stay connected to their craft. More than just a gallery, Leksa Ganesha is part of a resilient village rebuilt after the 2016 earthquake, where every visit helps support both the artists and the wider community. It’s a genuine, down-to-earth place rooted in tradition and local pride.
