Review Body: I just had the best dives of my life (so far) in Amed Bali. There are so many sites to explore, some popular ones and some that are less explored by tourists. Amed, Bali is a wonderful destination if you are into diving and if you want to get away from the crowded areas. There are a lot of people and a lot of life there, but you can actually get to know Balinese people more personally there. I had a wonderful evening with the local band Jah Moon there. Totally improvised and just perfect really! They offered some arak and played and sang beautifully. I had so much fun! At Fab Dive you will get to know amazing instructors who will eagerly teach you everything you want to learn. Kit was the best! He knows soooooo much and he is so happy to share the experience with you. You can see that diving is a passion that digs right into his heart and that is just beautiful to see and share with him. I did 6 dives at Fab Dive, two per day. Their prices are totally fair. You get a free bed in a dorm in exchange of a pack of two dives purchased at the center. The rooms are large, nice and very clean. The beds are comfortable, the sheets super clean. They air the mattresses out very often. The bathroom is very large and clean too and you even have access to a little fridge and a small convenient kitchen if you are on a budget and want to prepare your own breakfast for example. Dorms enable you to meet new people if you are traveling solo and not against having some company. I made a wonderful Austrian friend there, whom I hope to meet again in the course of your travelled lives. So yeah, all that to say that Amed is an awesome destination if you want to do some fun dives and it is also great if you want to take courses. You can travel there on a budget or get accommodated in nice private rooms if you prefer. Some of them have a view on mount Agung. You will get a fabulous experience, bond with the staff - who are all really sweet and caring, always there to help you. I am not just talking about the instructors. Every person I met there always had a smile on their face and wanted to help. I hope this helps you make up your mind if you are wondering whether or not to visit Amed and whether or not to stay at Fab Dive. I promise everything I wrote comes from my heart and experience there and they didn’t pay me anything to write it ️ Hugs to you all guys from Jess who welcomed me and Anik and everybody there I don’t want to misspell your names, to Kit who was the best instructor. Review Body: This is an excellent place to get your open water certification! While my opinion is based on how awesome my instructor, Jessica, was, I think your mileage won't vary with the any of the other instructors. And it comes down to a few caracteristics they share: 1. they quite literally exude passion for diving and at the same time 2. they are very serious and thorough in teaching you how to be safe and overall successful diver. And I will end the list with 3. the level of attention and flexibility you get because the groups are small and you don't feel like being rushed through an OWC factory. And just after getting my certification I've seen another center where there were 7 people with one instructor - they could barely all fit into the pool. Some other pros: very good spoken english and french, the dive at Tulamben is one of a kind and the volcano view is impressive as well. As for cons I don't have any, but you might experience some and even then I would haave a hard time believing the experience was not overall positive.

Review Body: I stayed for a weekend in Amed and had two amazing dives. The group was small, and we started early at the Liberty Wreck and then went to Bunutan. Gear was prepped, everything was organized, and I felt really comfortable diving. Even though our group was mixed skill levels, we enjoyed two long dives with no issues. We saw so many critters! Highlights for me were when we glimpsed a black tip shark near the wreck and saw a sea turtle up close and a ton of garden eels. We were generally the only divers in each site, so it was even better. It's also an incredible value...the cheapest prices for dives (as far as I've seen) in Amed, plus a free night's accommodation for divers. The rooms are simple, but the view of Mount Agung is unbeatable. It also has a pool for lounging, a shop nearby and a good restaurant next door with equally great views. Overall, I 100% recommend Bali Fab Divers to backpackers who want to dive in Amed :) Thanks!

Review Body: Fab Dive is a great dive centre in a spectacular location. As a backpacker I found the offer of free accommodation while I dived very helpful for my budget. Also the warung next door cook amazing Indonesian food for a good price and the family who own it were a joy to meet and chat to. The dive packages are good value, I intended on doing only 2 dives here at first but I enjoyed the friendly atmosphere of the centre and the helpful staff and instructors so much that I booked a 10 dive package and stayed for 9 days. I even extended my stay further to complete my Rescue Diver training. The reef in Amed/Tulamben is special, I especially recommend the Liberty and the Drop Off coral wall in Tulamben. Thank you Elena, Enric and Fabien for all your help and advice and friendliness and thank you to the Indonesian staff too. Dive here everyone!!!

Review Body: Overall a fantastic place to dive! Everyone was super friendly and knowledgeable; I had some fantastic dives with guides who were able to find and teach me about even some of the tinier underwater residents. They were flexible with last minute bookings and easily able to modify the day's itinerary when complications were thrown their way. You get to stay in the dorms for free when you're diving with them and for a reasonable rate on days you don't dive. There's a basic kitchen with a fridge, kettle, and hot plate if you want to prepare your own meals....or a reasonably priced restaurant right around the corner. They were incredibly helpful and accommodating when I was dealing with a delay in receiving my bank card, allowing me to book day by day and pay in a lump sum at the end of my stay.

Review Body: I did my Advanced Open Water course at Bali Fab Dive in October. My instructor was great. He was patient and helpful, both when I was doing the exercises for the AOW and when we were just enjoying the dives. He was very attentive, and made sure to point out all of the cool stuff! The staff at the hostel were also extremely helpful. I had to go to a hospital for a vaccination, and the staff arrange my transport for me, called clinics beforehand to make sure that they had the vaccine, and even arranged for a private tour so that my hospital visit was only a short stop on my day of visiting the sites around Amed. The hostel room (I had a private room) was clean, and comfortable. I am a solo female traveller, and felt super comfortable here. I highly recommend this dive shop.

Review Body: I went there by recommendation from friends and I am not disappointed ! Amazing friendly staff, really patient, with clear and professional instructions. Material works well and they have all sizes to fit you ! I had taken from open water to rescue diver so 14 dives in total, the value is great and I feel I know so much about the scuba diving equipment, use and the underwater world. I had courses from 2 of the instructors and both were just perfect. Nico and Jessica The french instructor even proposed me further information after classes which I accept around a beer as friends ! He is really passionate and like to share his knowledges You get the free accomodation while you are in class! So I stayed there 7nights for free and its clean and air conditioning works well.

Review Body: I had a perfect day with these guys doing my fun dives right after I have received my PADI certification. I just walked in to the office trying to book my dives very last minute and I must say the staff was superb. They were really friendly and accommodating. The next day we went to Pyramids and Lipa reef with my instructor and my jaw just dropped. These two spots are mesmerising. We saw loads of coral and aquatic life there including turtles and stingrays. My instructor was really patient with me considering that I am quite inexpierienced diver and managed to show me some rear fish while we were under water and explained me everything about it after while filling up my log book. I thoroughly enjoyed that day with Fab Dive and would definitely recommend these guys.

Review Body: A great and enjoyable dive center! I did one fun dive with a Friend at the USAT Liberty and enjoyed it so much, I decided to do my advanced Open water course. The instructor Kit was professionel and fun to dive with, and made the course exciting and instructive. The dive center has great equitment and they give you free nights, while you are diving with them. I give them my best recommendations and encourage everyone to dive here! If you do not dive, the hostel is still very nice to stay at surrounded by amazing Nature and 5 min walk to the beach. Clean rooms (dorm includes a nice terrace and Kitchen with frige) and lovely staff, especially the owner Fabian, who will give you great advice about anything! If it is sightseeing or a nice place to eat.

Review Body: Took the Padi Open Water Course here and had a great experience. Our instructor Kit made sure our group felt comfortable and answered all our questions patiently. I felt anxious after the start of the training, but Kit was very reassuring and I'm glad I continued with the shore dives, because the locations are amazing with lots to see (including the shipwreck). Me and my partner did the theory part at their facility. You can watch the videos at your own pace, at flexible times. The dorms are kept clean and the beds are comfortable. We rented a scooter (it's a 20 min. walk to the center otherwise), and booked our transport to Gili Trawangan here. Gasoline and laundry service are next door, and a warung is just around the corner.

Review Body: After walking through Amed we decided to do our padi open water at the fab dive center, which was the best decision! From the first day we felt really comfortable, staying in one of the free dorms with own kitchen and bathroom. The staff was super friendly and helped with any kind of questions. The beautiful village in which the dive center is located makes you loose the sense of time even faster. Now to the diving, we had an amazing instructor who made us feel comfortable under water from the beginning. We even decided to stay and accomplish the advanced open water right away, thank you for giving us so much confidence and teaching us everything we know about diving.

Review Body: My husband and I had the best experience with Jess, Brit and Kit - they are very professional, positive people. I was afraid of diving, because of my recent bad experience while snorkelling. All the trainers were super patient and care about my comfort a lot. They explained everything very clearly and really take care of both of us. The atmosphere in this dive club very chilling and relaxing. All the staff are very lovely people. Kit and Jess took into account our work schedule to make our learning possible. We so appreciate all efforts from Jess, Kit and Brit! it was an amazing experience! Definitely, recommend!

Review Body: It was a wonderful dive experience. My mother was under water for the first time. She was very scared especially of breathing only thru the mouth but our instructor calmed her down, took her by the hand and guided her thru the whole experience. I had also great dives with my German instructor Sven at the pyramids and the wall. I can defenitely recommend him even not for Germans. He is professional on a high level, very friendly and gives you the feeling of being save all the time. I'll definitely go there to do my advanced. You can feel that they love what they do.

Review Body: Very nice experience. We got to do 2 fun dives with Kit and he was very passionate and cared to explain very clearly before and after diving.The dives themselves were very interesting, we did the Liberty shipwreck and the Drop Off which is a nice coral wall. For both dives we enter and exit directly on the beach so it is a bit tricky not to fall with all the equipment. As for the accomodation, we stayed in a bungalow and it was good, very clean, small kitchenette if you want to cook and AC working fine. Overall excellent experience, thank you!

Review Body: I came to Amed specifically for diving and wasn't disappointed... Just completed my discover scuba diving at the liberty wreck and fabien was an amazing teacher.. My dive was one on one due to low season, which was really good for me, I haven't dived for 4years and was abit apprehensive but fabien was reassuring and I felt completely safe. I saw some amazing marine life and enjoyed the whole experience. You also receive free accommodation when diving with the centre. Definitely recommend diving here for all level of divers.

Review Body: I did my OWD certification @ Fab Dive and our instructor Kit was amazing. I felt safe and well guided throughout the whole time and Kit even managed to balance different levels of skills in the group very calm and experienced. We did four dives and the dive sites are amazing. Would def go there again for my AOWD or just for fun dives. Fab Dive is a bit outside of Amed, but you can rent a scooter there and it is calm, quiet and a restaurant with excellent food is just around the corner. Thanks to Kit and the staff!

Review Body: Learned my open water diving course here. It is fantastic experience. The diving sites are absolutely beautiful, we saw green turtle, cuttlefish and mantis shrimp among all other wonderful creatures. Fab is a responsible owner, he sent me learning material days before my course, my instructor Kit is very professional and encouraging. I also stayed in Fav dive accommodation, the place is very clean and cozy. Staff can help you book the cab from and to airport. Overall super satisfied experience with Fab dive.

Review Body: This is my fourth time in Amed and every time I enjoyed my stay at FabDive. The staff were very welcoming and professional. The dive sites are beautiful and the prices very affordable. Actually you get a free night each day you dive. On the left side of the dive center there is also a nice little Warung literally a 30 secondes walk with a beautiful view on Agung and a laundry service on the right side. So you have everything you need close by. Next time you go diving in Amed you should definitely go there.

Review Body: The staff are wonderful- friendly and professional. The place attravta travellers with a shared interest so it's hard not to make friends. It felt like we had a family three-dimensional- I didn't want to leave. The diving is great, I did my advanced course and some fun dives. The location is beautiful and away from the noise of the main strip. And the rooms are clean, bright and with good Aircon. And free for divers. Superb value for money in all respects. Review Body: We have dove with FAB for two years in a row now. We are underwater photographers and FAB can arrange special packages for underwater photographers who want an experienced spotter as a private guide. Fabien himself is very friendly and provides great service and excellent communication. We enjoyed diving with Wayan on this trip. He was a very calm and friendly guide. Although we did not stay there ourselves, I think the ability to stay for free if you are diving is incredible value!
