An absolute highlight of our trip! We were lucky and had the walk to ourselves. Our driver Yosi and guide Wi were both extremely lovely and shared so many great stories and interesting knowledge. The view from the rim was incredible even on our cloudy morning and we loved getting to take the boat across the lake. Definitely worth the early rise (3am for us in Ubud so not too bad) and we got back with so much day left to spend.

A beautiful getaway in a stunning lush green setting. The temple is remarkable, vast with water running throughout. Putu with Ayu and Agung were warm and welcoming hosts to guide our group through.
It was wonderful to experience Balinese culture and spirituality in this way. Learned how to make canang sari and the story behind them, how the flowers are arranged etc. Putu guided us through a meditation sitting amongst the beauty of the temple, feeling so grateful for the space and nature around. Then we were guided into the pools and through the holy water purification ceremony under the waterfalls, followed by a prayer and finished with some delicious Balinese food to share and reflect on the experience.
Thank you to Putu and team, it was an eye opening and deeply rewarding experience

Bring Back the Light was one of the most special experiences of our trip.
Wayan Wardika shared his beautiful firefly conservation work with such passion and generosity, and his family then prepared one of the best meals we had during our travels. Every part of the evening felt thoughtful, authentic, and deeply connected to nature and local life.
After dark, seeing the fireflies glowing was magical and unforgettable. Wayan is a truly warm and genuine host, and the experience felt intimate, meaningful, and full of heart.
Our son and his friend loved it too, making it a wonderful experience for families and teenagers.
Highly recommended.

The most incredible experience, the women were fabulous the kindest people I’ve met in Bali and they were so eager to share their culture and traditions with me. I highly recommend this as it was a highlight of my trip and really made me express gratitude and reflect on life.

Up close and personal to see Firefly conservation with detailed explanation on the 2 types of fireflies. Good for kids to learn about science in a mini open air lab.
Personal tour meant we took it at our own pace to walk around the organic garden picking our herbs for making dinner. It’s a real Kampong experience seeing the farmer’s animals and at night seeing the fireflies in the rice fields.
The food was hands down fantastic, we were so full! We enjoyed the hands-on cooking with Krishna and his family. Bought their organic soap and wished we had gotten more.
Glad there was an option for transport!

We loved their commitment to influencing their local community to switch to organic farming and the research to increase the firefly population. We learned all about fireflies and after dusk we got to see them in their natural environment. Magical! We got to help cook a beautiful traditional dinner that was amazingly delicious. Everything felt honest and genuine. We recommend this visit to everyone!

The experience was perfect from start to finish ! Putu & Agung were amazing at guiding us through each stage of the ceremony, just beautiful people. I pre booked & there was only 2 of us doing the purification ceremony so it was very intimate (no instagram crew) Putu & Agung even prepared a little picnic of local fruit & snacks so it was a perfect finish to a blissful experience!! This is a must do activity away from the intense crowds at other temples 5/5 🌟s

What a magical experience! Wayan and Monica were fabulous, passionate about what they do and so knowledgable. Despite visiting Bali many times the market visit was culturally immersive and enlightening, and the purchase of fruits and cakes to share with coffee, a lovely way to start the day. The farm tour and the opportunity to collect our own organically grown vegetables was amazing and the cooking class itself was run so smoothly and professionally yet also deeply personal.
My daughter and I were joined by 2 other wonderful women that really made the day when sharing our meal together in this spectacular and serene setting.
Could not recommend more highly and will be doing it again!
