We were a group of 5 and aged 68-75. Ride was easy. Guides and driver were very caring and accommodating. Highly recommend. You see a lot of farm areas as well as rice fields. Lunch spot at end is very nice

Greenbike’s cycling tour was one of my favorite experiences in Bali. It was a relaxed half-day ride with breakfast, lunch, and some local treats along the way.

What I enjoyed most was that the tour wasn’t just about cycling. We rode through quiet roads and small paths in the Tegallalang area, and along the way got to see a bit of everyday Balinese life. We visited a local family, stopped at a firefly conservation project. These little stops made the ride much more interesting than simply following a cycling route.

The cycling itself was quite easy. There were a few uphill sections, but most of the route was downhill. It was a meandering 21 km round trip. Our guides made sure we were safe on the roads and stayed attentive throughout the ride. Riding through backroads and narrow trails that are mostly known to locals was definitely one of the highlights.

Our young guide, Dewi, was knowledgeable and friendly. He shared stories about Balinese culture as well as his own experiences, which made the tour feel more personal.

A special thanks to Geo, who stayed at the back of the group. I happened to be the slowest rider, so I really appreciated having someone making sure I was okay and helping with traffic when needed.

And thanks to Tim, our driver, for the transfers. On the way back, we got caught in a massive traffic jam in Ubud. He was very patient and drove safely all the way back to my hotel, which I really appreciated after a long day.

Overall, it was a really nice combination of cycling, food, nature, and local culture. I’d especially recommend it if you’re traveling solo and want to experience the local side of Bali that you probably wouldn’t see on your own.

We absolutely loved our bike adventures with our teenage boys. We enjoyed our time together with the stunning background and overall cultural experience. What’s not to love about accessing secret jungle paths and ‘bush bashing’?
