I've always wanted to dive but also have always been scared haha. But since I was already in Komodo (which I learnt is one of the best places to dive), I decided to give it a try and do a discovery dive. It was one of the best things I did in Komodo (aside from the Komodo Islands Boat Trip) and now I wanna take my open water cert! Shoutout to our instructor Kit who was so great! We were definitely scared but he took great care of us and constantly reassured us at every step of the way. Our dive day was absolutely amazing and we went to three dive sites that were very beginner friendly — Sebayur Kecil, Mawan and Tatawar Besar. We saw 5 turtles, mantas, blacktip reef sharks, so many colourful and whacky fish. We actually only paid for the first two dives but we loved it so much that we decided to do the third dive and paid on the spot! Komodo is such a beautiful place to dive and if you don't know how to dive, I would definitely recommend doing this discovery dive with Dragon Dive! They also care a lot about the marine environment in Komodo which is really nice.

I had a fear of open water going into this, this was a challenge to myself, and I came out now loving diving! Our instructor Kit was great in calming my nerves and taking us through each step of the dive process, and we had a pool dive to practice before the actual dive day! The waters were absolutely gorgeous when we got out, I definitely had a huge amount of nerves to overcome at the start of the dive, but the pace of the discovery dive was perfect for us beginners! We saw manta rays, turtles, reef sharks and the beautiful reef!

I had such a brilliant experience with the dive centre. Juan ended up coming down solo with me and he was so caring and considerate as my mask was playing up. He replaced it immediately with his and our dive was great. I managed to see a turtle really close up and a few sharks, not only this Juan filmed the experience on his own camera and it was magical. My bf loved Alex, so much praise on her behalf for getting him through his padi. Thank you for the wonderful memories and keep this level of customer service up it was the best dives i received in Indonesia. Xx
