Hello! I'm Wayan Suardana, a Balinese artist running an artisan studio in Keliki, near Ubud. We offer batik, wood carving, painting, and more in a traditional Balinese setting. Come experience authentic Balinese art, culture, and family life, and help us support our community through art and English classes for local kids! Just a 15-minute drive from the heart of Ubud lies Desa Keliki, a hidden gem pulsating with the artistic spirit passed down through generations. This small village is not only known for its natural beauty but also as a guardian of Bali's unique and invaluable artistic essence. Established in 2008, our studio stands proudly in the midst of this village, carrying the mission to preserve and introduce traditional Balinese art to the world. Our studio is more than just a place to learn; it's a deep journey into the core of Balinese art, where every brushstroke and wood carving tells the stories of the ancestors. What makes our studio even more unique is its location within a traditional Balinese architectural compound. When you visit, you’ll not only connect with Balinese art and craftsmanship but also experience the beauty of authentic Balinese architecture. Every element of the building, from the entrance gate to the interior layout, reflects the deep philosophy and tradition of Bali. At our studio, visitors have the unique opportunity to see and interact directly with local residents, gaining insight into Balinese culture and the authentic traditions of family life. This immersive experience allows you to understand the true essence of Bali, not just through its art, but through the daily lives and customs of its people.
