Review Body: Lovely little workshop to get in touch with Bali's local woodcrafting tradition. You can chose a design to work on. The teacher is clearly a master in his craft and has loads of experience. Be aware that whole you can do carving yourself, the teacher will do quite a lot to make sure it's presentable and finished in time, which at times was a little sad because it felt like your work (admittedly not perfect, but that was never the goal) was hardly visible in the end. If you are interested in the background of the masks for example, you'll have to ask, no information is given on their own. It's still a great way to get an insight into the craft if you are not too sensitive about lots of the work being done for you. Recommended!

Review Body: Amazing workshops! Friends We went for silver jewellery making class and batik making class, and both workshops were amazing!! The instructors were very patient and helpful and hands on, we were able to choose our own design and they helped us create the masterpiece! Everyone was so lovely and kind. Review Body: Fantastic place to do art with local craftsmen in Ubud. Everyone is so friendly, in a beautiful location among rice fields and pick up from Ubud included. Very reasonable prices and fantastic quality of classes. I did 4 classes in total. (silversmiths, lontar weaving, fruit carving, offerings). If I had more time, I would have done more. 100% recommended.

Review Body: We attended a silver making class. I highly recommend it if youÍre within an hour drive. We travelled from Sanur to do this and we are so happy we did. Class was 3 hours and they didnÍt rush you to finish. The staff are so nice and helpful. You get tea/coffee/water and deep fried pineapple and banana as you work on your piece.

Review Body: Learn something new on your holiday Couples We had a really enjoyable time with the carving master. As pointed out by others he is a man of few words but with amazing talent and patience. You are able to grasp the basics of wood carving and produce some unexpected results given the short time of the course. Although 3 hours is shown as the course duration, it may be wise to allow yourself a little longer as the craftsman is happy for the course to last longer, so you are able to take something back home that is almost complete. In our case we ran over by about 45 minutes but could have stayed a little longer.

Review Body: Very skilled craftsmen. I would recommend that you communicate how much work you want to do on the carving yourself, since they will be passionately assisting and stepping in. Kind and clever people, with lots of wisdom to talk to about the know-hows of art of Hinduism and Bali.

Review Body: We loved the whole experience. The silversmiths guided us through 3 hours that flew by, end result being 3 rings and 2 sets of earrings that were pretty impressive if I say so myself. Oh, an earthquake thrown in for no extra charge!

Uh-oh, that adventure isn't available right now. Let's find you something else awesome!

Meet your host

Ayu's workshop feels like a family gathering (with extra sparkle!). She learned silversmithing at her father's knee – he was the village's first artisan to share Balinese craftsmanship with the world. With Ayu, you'll hear those stories, learn traditional techniques, and feel the warmth of Balinese artistry shine through your own handcrafted piece. This is jewelry-making with a whole lot of heart.
