Review Body: In da surf camp was amazing, we had an incredible week at the surfer house learning to surf, making friends, doing yoga and having a great time all for a really good price! We even tried to look for cheap accommodation and surf lessons separately but it was no way near as good as this option and sooooo happy we didn't go anywhere else!! We stayed in the surf house rather than the villa as we are travelling for 6 months so wanted a slightly cheaper option, as well as the social aspect. The house is very clean, cleaned each day. Rooms are nice and airy with air con, also clean. Nice ensuite bathrooms. You have your own secure locker. The staff are incredible, Ekka and Setya are lovely, so friendly and always happy to help! The breakfast was included in our package and was super tasty... they have a lovely garden where you can chill and relax. It's about 15 minute walk from the beach, or you can hire one of their scooters for a really competitive price. The surf lessons were fab, special shout out to Martin who was a great instructor. He really took the time to go through theory and explain the waves and give little tips when out catching waves and back at the villa. Some sessions were filmed but not all, this is perhaps my only critique, from the wording on the package you assume every lesson will be filmed; still got the majority though and get to keep these! The videos are reviewed at the end of each surf session to see where you can improve! We improved A LOT over just one week so cannot fault the lessons...they were really good at assessing your ability and moving you to different boards and surfing spots depending on this. Overall our experience was brilliant, it did help we had a really good group of people In the hostel who were like minded and wanted to socialise. We went for dinner each evening and always invited any new arrivals out too! At one point we had 7 nationalities at dinner.

Review Body: It took me a month to choose the place to stay and surf in Bali. I was in surf camp in Portugal last summer and my experience was not great, reality vs expectation :( So this time I was a little bit in doubt and had so many questions. Thanks to Hugo to answer all my emails patiently and all the team for taking care of everything during my stay. I booked Surf and Stay package in private room. The Villa was nice and cozy, clean. It's very quiet there, the view is great. I took my yoga mat with me and they have a very nice loan behind to practice, I enjoy it so much. Lessons were great too. I do sport a lot and improve my surfing skills is my main goal for the last few years. All the instructors speak English very well. First, my coach was Indra, and after a few lessons Iwan. I felt very comfortable with both of them in the water. For the 5 days I really felt the result, and I got a better understanding of the technique and the ocean in general. Video analyzing is the must, it's so good to see how you surfing because in the water you feel so different haha Surf theory lesson with Surya was very informative and he spent another hour answering our questions, what was so nice of him:) I would definitely come back to continue my training and recommend In Da Surf team to other travelers. Review Body: I happened to be staying around the corner from the surf house and stopped in to ask about surfing, my only regret was I didn't stop by sooner. I ended up surfing with Indra and the guys two days, I've been surfing a handful of times in Latin America and the US and those two days really took my surfing up a few notches. Usually I just rent a board on the beach and hop in by myself, man was that not the way to do it! Indra or one of the other guys (they are all very knowledgeable and patient) will help you pick and catch the right waves, and give you as many pointers as they can from the water. They also have someone videotaping from the shore, so you can pick apart what you're doing right or wrong as soon as you get back. One day the waves nearby in Canggu were good so we went there, while another day they drove us down past Seminyak because that had the right waves that day. Each day the crew leaves at 8 AM from the house (I met there but they can pick up people staying locally) and whether it was a mix of beginners/intermediate/advanced surfers they made sure everyone got the type of waves they were looking for. Definitely check out In Da Surf if you want to learn how to surf or improve your surfing!

Review Body: I've had a few lessons in Bali and they can be hit and miss, often miss. In Da Surf were more expensive than other places I'd been but well worth it for the use of video and their friendly attentive staff. With other schools I felt like the instructor couldn't communicate clearly what I needed to do differently and was more concerned with catching waves themselves, here I had Indra who sat in the take off zone, gave helpful tips after each wave and helped me to read the swell. The most useful part is the video (done every other day - check when you book) - even just a few shots of you surfing on this will help you understand what you are doing wrong massively. Worth the extra 200,000 on its own. The "Semi private" lesson works well too - you essentially are 1 on 1 with an instructor but get the benefit of watching another surfer interact with the instructor too . Groups were small, 4 - 6 people (from IDS - lots of others in the water, this is Bali) and had a great friendly vibe. TLDR - would recommend. Go on a day with video and see how you go. Review Body: Just completed a full seven days of surfing with the team here at In Da Surf. They had two sessions a day, one in the afternoon for beginners and one in the morning for the more experienced. Started with a couple of sessions in the afternoon and then moved into the morning. Among the seven days we surfed in a few different locations depending on the conditions, a couple locally in Canggu, Kuta, and near Tanah Lot. With the 2:1 surfer ratio (it was never exceeded even as the group grew, ranged from two to eight clients), we always caught the best waves for our level. I really enjoyed surfing with Sunny, Wellsend, and Irfan - they were all fun but professional in the waves. The most valuable part was the video review after the lesson. Helped to really understand the changes and improvement areas. Would strongly recommend surf lessons for those looking to improve! The surf hostel was very clean and the rooms were large. Would be described as basic but cheerful. The location on the main road made it accessible to all of the great restaurants of Canggu

Review Body: I booked my 15 year old daughter a week of surf lessons - we were staying just around the corner. She was a complete beginner and the youngest most days (had a couple of days with her friends who were the same age) but the Inda Surf family made her feel special, gave her confidence and she has fallen in love with surfing. Everyone was incredibly friendly and professional and they would take time to look for a decent spot to surf ....so often were out for up to four hours (instead of the 2 hours booked), and would pick you up from your accommodation if you wanted (we didn't as we were around the corner). Most lessons were filmed and then watched back at the surf camp with instructions on what to improve on/what was going well. They emailed the videos afterwards which is great. She wants to go back - and I think we probably will. I can't remember all your names but thank you so much. Excellent experience for my daughter and I really can't imagine you could find better teachers in Canggu.

Review Body: We booked a Christmas Day surf lesson with In Da Surf, we made our way to the surf shop for 11:30am and sat down in a group of 8 to go over the 'pop-up' theory with Wilson. He used this time to get everyone acquainted with each other and work out which foot each of us should lead with. After this, we jumped into the van and took a short drive down to Canggu beach. We were paired up and given an instructor (1 instructor per 2 people) then we warmed up, practised a couple of pop-ups and hit the surf. Conditions were great and we were able to practise on a constant stream of beginner waves. After the lesson, and a drink, we were driven back to the shop for video analysis. A videographer took us through each wave and made notes on where we can improve next time - really useful to see the mistakes from another perspective. Great team, awesome experience. Just remember to take sandals with you to the beach as the sand is extremely hot!

Review Body: I stayed there for 5 days and didnt want to leave in end. The staff is local and owned by locals which for me played an important role. All are super nice, helpful, professional and friendly. It was definitely the best surf house I have ever stayed mostly in terms of atmosphere and quality of service. The house itself isn't the villa-type hostel from big chains but it was even better for me. A traditional balinese house, very clean, cozy and comfortable. The guys have been doing this job for years and are experienced enough to adjust to any clients needs. I had one of the best surf experiences of my life. Lessons are great, very professional and almost private. I learned a lot and I feel I have progressed. The best for me was that they all love what they are doing and they have been transmitting the love for the sport to me. Thank you guys for everything! I will be back!!

Review Body: As a young women fresh out of high school, I was really anxious about choosing a good hostel to stay where I would feel safe. Nothing can possibly beat this place! The location is perfect for all levels of surfing including beginners. I started off as a novice surfing on the beach that is a 15 min walk to surfing intermediate waves in another location nearby. The instructures are some of the coolest people I've met. By the end of your stay, you feel part of a surf family. It is on the same road where all the bars are and the main beach, so at night when you're done surfing you can head over, but its far enough that you aren't in the middle of all the noise at night. I can't emphasize enough how much you need to come here. You literally can't find anything better. staying at this hostel was the highlight of my trip in Bali and the best week of my life.

Review Body: I and my wife, with very little surfing experience, got 5 surfing lessons from Indra. On the first day, it was really hard to just paddle out in the Canggu`s big waves but Indra encouraged us to be relaxed and keep going. After 2 more days, we could stay in the water for straight 2hours and manage to ride on the waves. Indra was a really genuine but laid-back instructor who knows the Canngu area really well as he`s real local surfer from Bali. His feedback helped me a lot to improve my surfing. We learned not only surfing skill but attitude of how we confront the waves and surfing itself. After we finished the lesson, we could enjoy surfing in Batu bolong point by ourselves even in the big wave days without much hassles. Just my 2 cents.. they take very good quality photos and videos for you if you get package lesson :)

Review Body: Indra and his team are excellent. Really chilled out, but also know exactly where to catch the best waves and will make sure you have a good time. We got much better during our 7 day stay with them (we stayed at the Bona Kubu guesthouse, booked through in da surf - really nice place to stay, comfortable room with a view over rice paddies), and progressed from soft top boards to long boards and then shorter boards. The instructor ratio is at least 2:1 as they advertise and they will listen to you in the water - helping you catch bigger waves, or picking out smaller ones for you depending on how comfortable you feel. I can't recommend them enough. :) Hugo was also super responsive to all our queries on the lead up to our arrival - very helpful for planning our onward journey.

Review Body: We stumbled upon In Da Surf while walking around Canggu our 2nd day in Bali, so happy we did! We popped in for lessons and they were welcoming and helpful right away. We surfed with them a total of 4 days. Being beginners we were nervous but it worked out great, we learned so much and had a ton of fun! So much fun we ended up coming back to Canggu just for a couple more lessons. Indra and other guides were awesome and we felt safe at all times, everyone was really knowledgeable and made sure to explain the waves and breaks prior to paddle out. We didn't stay at the surf house but all other people we surfed with raved about it! We definitely recommend this place and are planning on visiting again!! Thanks Indra and staff, we will be back! Review Body: After having looked at varius surf camps in Bali we opted for In Da Surf. We only had the surf lessons and the accomodation for the first two days after which we moved hotels. There had been a misunderstanding in the communication between me and In Da Surf, so we initiatilly ended up in a hotel, which did not live up to our standards. My experience from travelling is that it is these kind of things that happens sometimes. However, In Da Surf handled this situation very professionally and we were soon settled into a nice hotel. As for surfing I had a go at it with my two adult children. I am 49, stiff and with poor balancing skills, but I really enjoyed it and so did my two children aged 24 and 20. I will come back.

Review Body: I had such a great time at In Da Surf Bali! I booked 7 days of Surf and Stay at the Surfers House and I ended extending for 2 more days because I liked it so much. The teachers are very good and videoanalysis is really helpful. I was riding my first green waves in the first lesson and improved further after that. Went from softtop to hardboard and after that smaller hardboard. The guys are all so nice and make you feel confident in the waves! The hostel is just lovely, it’s spacious, clean, has good airconditioning and shower. Breakfast was good! Staff are all so kind! Met many great people at the hostel! Would definitely come again!

Review Body: I stayed at the surfer house and attended lessons for a week! The accommodation and lessons were AMAZING!! The instructors were so nice, supportive, helpful, and really made you feel safe in the water. After talking with other people in Bali- these were qualities their instructors didn’t have and it really affected their surfing experience. I was traveling solo on my trip and found it easy to meet people at the surfer house and the staff were so friendly! The surfer house also hosts different events while I was there such as movie night, barbecue and surf theory! I would highly recommend In Da Surf to anyone and everyone (-:

Review Body: Just got back from Bali and had the best time surfing with Indra and Hugo. I booked four days of intermediate lessons and they really helped me get from beginner to the next level. The guys were really patient with me and helped me pick the good waves, while also listening to me when I didn't feel confident. They also took video footage to show me where I was going wrong. Has really helped my technique. I have come back feeling like a real surfer now. They also took my friends out who had never surfed and made them feel at ease, even when they felt nervous. Review Body: Really enjoyed my surfing lessons with this team. Everyone super helpful and friendly. Everyday I was collected from my villa and brought to the beach. Had lessons with a few different instructors. Irfan and Surya were amazing. Super helpful and gave great instructions. I am not a confident swimmer so these guys made me feel secure in the ocean!! The video analysis at the end of each lesson was fantastic as you could really see what you need to improve. Big shout out to the guys taking the videos and photos (Surya and Ramadhan)!! Review Body: I spent 4 days there and it was incredible. People of the surfhouse are so nice and friendly. The breakfast is excellent. Regarding surf lessons, teachers are the best in Canggu. Very helpful, they give you all advices to improve yourself. By the way, they film all surf sessions and alter each lessons you look videos that is good to see what is right and what is wrong. You can ask to have videos too, they will give you in USB key or send you by WeTransfer. If you find a place to sleep, eat and do surfing in Canggu, you should definitively go at In Da Surf!!!

Review Body: We stayed at In Da Surf School for 7 nights in the pool villa. Everything was clean, the room very nice and the owners of the villa were the most friendly personnel we met on our entire Bali trip (thank you!). Surfing lessons were great: positive atmosphere, good teaching and also thanks to the video analysis we learned a lot. The most important strength of this place is that the people are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Conclusion: Nothing to complain about. Review Body: I 've been in in da surf camp for 2 beginner lessons and paid for a semi private service at the end of August. I 've never tried this sport so for me was the 1 time ever. The teachers are locals and very professional. The theory of surf seems so easy the practice on the sea is very difficult but they support u every second to help u to improve your skills. The 3rd day they invite me also to join to a BBQ I the camp and has been a great and fun experience. So I advice everyone to take lessons here specially with Wito or Indra. Luca
