Review Body: Natalie, her master craftsman and assistant were absolutely fantastic. They couldn't have done anything else to make my day with them a perfectly wonderful experience. As I was the only "student" this day, they tailor-made the experience to my requirement, so the model making ended up a furniture making experience. This taught me the basic joints which will be helpful for me at home. Thank you creative bamboo team from "mister" Bill for a wonderful & memorable day. (& I've got a stool to take home).

Review Body: Natalie was a great host and was able to translate with the local artisans which made it really feel like we were all apart of the process. The setting was great located in a bamboo structure among the beautiful farm lands of Bali. We learned about the tools that are used and joints such as a dove tail something they call a fish mouth. I would highly recommend this to anyone who would like to learn about working with bamboo and spend the day with lovely peoples.

Review Body: I had an engaging and fun experience. Had a chit chat with the founder, Natalie, and got to learn about bamboo building design, some of the techniques used & the projects in progress. Afterwards, i had my hands-on session on designing & building the bamboo miniature building. As I am a novice, I had an experienced master, MaDe, who came up with a design and guided me on building. MaDe was patient and helped me build together. I am grateful for this experience.

Natalie Davenport is the heart behind Bamboo Creative Bali, a small community-driven initiative she founded in 2020. Originally from Australia, Natalie now calls Bali home, where she’s built not just bamboo houses, but a meaningful way of life. Her journey has taken her through single motherhood, learning hands-on bamboo craft from Filipino families, and creating spaces that blend natural building, shared learning, and community care. Natalie’s work focuses on practical, inclusive solutions—like homestays that support people with disabilities, and gardens rooted in permaculture. She’s deeply committed to making everyday life more sustainable and connected for everyone involved. Through it all, Natalie brings a quiet strength, shaped by lived experience and a genuine love for community.
