Review Body: I had a wonderful experience taking part in the Canang Sari workshop. It was supposed to be a group activity, but I was the only participant that day, which actually made the experience feel even more personal and special. We learned how to make the Canang Sari using the traditional method, weaving coconut leaves and securing them with small pieces of bamboo. I really enjoyed learning about the meaning behind the different colours, their order, and the symbolism of the offerings and prayers. The workshop was supposed to last two hours, but it ended up lasting about two and a half hours. We made around 15 Canang Sari, and throughout the workshop I was given lots of explanations about Balinese Hindu traditions and culture. What I appreciated most is that it didn’t feel like a typical tourist activity at all. It felt genuine, relaxed and very informative, and I came away with a much better understanding of something I had been seeing everywhere in Bali. Highly recommended if you want to learn more about Balinese culture and experience something a little different. I highly recommend it

I was there alone which was wonderful experience. It’s super easy to get with Gojan/Grab from Ubud there. Definately check out other activities they offer.

Meet your host

Pranasanti was founded by a Balinese priestess, Manis. Born and raised in Bali, Manis is a trained “Jero” or Balinese priestess, who has responsibility in her local community to lead ceremonies. On becoming a Jero, she found her sensitivity to energy heightened, so turned to yoga and meditation to balance it. At Pranasanti, Manis and her team offer a variety of retreats, yoga and healing sessions. She tailors each session to the individual needs of her guests, and she creates a supportive and nurturing environment where people can relax, rejuvenate, and connect with their inner selves.
