Review Body: I was searching for a good surf instructor for my girlfriend who never was on a surfboard before and she wanted to learn how to surf. Pretty soon i came across Bali Outdoor Adventures and Wayan not only seemed to be a great instructor but a fun and nice guy as well. My girlfriend must have told him about how i've went fishing on Bali before as a few days later he sent pictures of a fishing trip he did. I have been on a bottom fishing trip with a traditional boat as well as a charter fishing trip before and i decided to geve these guys a try as well. Ketut (Wayan's brother) was my captain for the day and knew his fishing stuff well! We found a great fishing spot for the first two hours where we landed about 19 fish with the two of us. I'm not familiair with all of the species here but it was about 50% like small tuna and the other 50% was a pretty flat, high type of fish of which most were around 45cm i guess. They where stronger than you would expect and good fun reeling in! Ketut caught himself a spanish Mackerel as well and the day before some barracuda. All of the three fishing trips compared, i'd recommend this one to give a try. Price was good, the company was good, the catch was good even though they admit that with fishing there's always a matter of luck involved. They all say that by that way and we may have been lucky but i've seen the catch of the previous days too and they must be having lots of luck it seems... Thanks again guys! P.S.: take some sort of raincoat or vest, sunscreen and some water and enjoy!

Review Body: Wayan couldn't have done more to ensure I had a great time and surfing experience during my days in Seseh. He was so welcoming, helpful and flexible, providing board hire and advice about the different waves at Seseh and surfing with me to make sure I took off in the right place etc. Wayan/Bali Outdoor also organised a great day trip to Uluwatu from Seseh (and Airport reef on the way back); it was a magical experience, heading out on their boat at 6.00am for 40mins across the bay and then paddling into the line-up with Wayan, nerves jangling. I also stayed in Bali Outdoor guestroom - it was lovely and spacious, off a quiet backstreet above the family home. A lovely balcony overlooking the street to relax on, very comfortable double bed, with a/c and a spacious bathroom and hot shower. And most of all Wayan's super-friendly and hospitable family below still living their traditional way of life based on fishing. The Bali coffee and traditional fish/rice breakfast they offered me was such a treat. All in all it was super value and I couldn't recommend Bali Outdoors Adventures more highly.

Review Body: I joined to Wayan for some surf classes and it couldn't be better. He really helped to me to improve my surf technique and the most important to be friend with the waves and learn from them. It is perfectly suitable for all the levels, beginner, medium and high. I did as well a fishing activity and all the experience is a must if you go to Bali, since to visit his traditional balinese house and family in the beautiful Seseh village to the fishing activity. No forgetting the tasty fresh dinner we had after the day fishing and learning how to cook in the balinese way! The camping on the beach and barbeque are amazing! A perfect outdoor activity, calm and untouched but still close enought to drive to the tourist area like canggu or Seminyak. If you are planning a visit to Bali and you want to keep yourself busy fishing, learning or improving surfing, biking riding and cooking and all together learning the real balinese culture, this is a must to do! Also, he has a homestay perfect to stay if you want to follow all those activities and more...! Highly recommended!

Review Body: We were in Bali for a month with the goal of learning to surf. We were extremely lucky to have friends bring us along for a lesson with Bali Outdoor Adventures. I had some surfing lessons a few years ago and these were just so much better. We ended up having many lessons with Wayan. Every time he would consider the tides and conditions and take us out at the time of day that would result in the best surf experience for us. He also took us to many different locations, some of which are just not on the map and we would never have even heard about, much less found on our own. He picks you up and drops you off at your door, I really liked his surfboards (I had opportunity to rent elsewhere and even beginner boards are not all equal), and he has a good supply of long sleeved rash gaurds. Wayan is an amazing guy, super positive vibe, fun to spend time with, and very knowledgeable. We learned so much about Bali and its culture just through casual conversations we had en route to different surf spots AND we were very happy with the progression in our surfing!!!

Review Body: I signed up for 5 surfing lessons after reading amazing reviews for Bali Outdoor Adventures. So glad I did! Wayan was my surf instructor. What I thought would be improving upon my foundation of surfing became more than I can describe. It wasn't just a few surfing lessons, it was an authentic immersion into Balinese culture. Wayan willing to spend usually his entire morning and early afternoon to driving to different locations, eating lunch with the locals, and teaching me all about the culture of Bali. Every spot that he went to he knew people at the beach or got to know them. He is incredibly charismatic and a great teacher! I enjoyed my time on the water with him as much as our time out of the water. As far as surfing goes, Wayan was able to help me gain a better understanding of the ocean. Anyone can get up on a tiny wave, but he really challenged me to push my limits. Sometimes scary, very rewarding. I was so grateful for the time I had with Wayan and he really made my trip much deeper than just a few surfing lessons. 10/10 would recommend!

Review Body: I am so happy to have had the opportunity to meet, stay and learn from Wayan. His knowledge of Bali from the culture, surfing and food is immense. He taught me so much about Bali and it's people. From explaining his views and traditions, also by taking us to ceremonies in his village of Seseh where we got a better appreciation for the way of life and their culture. Wayans love and passion for surfing and the ocean is clear. He is an amazing teacher and is very in touch with the ocean. I never dreamed of being able to surf but with his patience and guidance I was able to ride the wave. Not only does Wayan teach surfing but he also took us to some amazing spots to eat! If you get the chance get him yo take you for Babi Guling (suckling pig). One of the best things I've eaten traveling! I will be back to Bali and back to see Wayan. Never could of dreamed of such a good time. I recommend Bali Outdoor for anyone who want to learn to surf or just want some outdoor adventure. I can assure you Wayan will not disappoint!!

Review Body: We stayed at Wayan's homestay for a couple of days and took a sunset and morning surf lesson from him. Wayan speaks very good English and is easy to understand and talk with. He is an excellent surfing instructor and an all around great guy! He will cater to your individual surfing skill level and give you lots of helpful tips throughout your lesson. He will also make sure you are always safe and comfortable and that the waves and conditions are surfable for you. He has a vast knowledge of everything surfing and is definitely the best guide you can find. His homestay was very spacious, homely and clean and we really enjoyed our stay there. You will get a great taste for the local life and Wayan will share all of his local knowledge with you and is like a personal tour guide. He can share with you and answer any questions about the local area and Bali in general. Awesome all around experience and can't say enough good things about Wayan. Definitely recommend him and his homestay and experiences!

Review Body: From the moment I landed in Bali, Wayan was there making sure we had an unbelievable trip. His knowledge of the area is unmatched and he can assure you the best possible experience. We came to Bali primarily for surfing and Wayan always had us on the best spots for the conditions. My most memorable experience though was when Wayan brought us to a local ceremony in his village of Seseh. It was truly an amazing experience to be able to participate in the local ceremony and Wayan's explanation of the traditions and culture truly open your eyes to the beauty of the Balinese culture. Wayan is truly passionate about Bali and his enthusiasm about the ocean, food, and culture ensures the best possible experience for any visitor. I feel so lucky to have met him and I am counting down the days until I can go back and visit Wayan again. I recommend Bali Outdoor Adventures for anyone who wants the best possible experience on their trip to the beautiful island of Bali!

Review Body: A friend back home recommended I Wayan Sukerta and Bali Outdoor Adventures to me because she had a wonderful experience and now it's my turn to recommend it to everyone ! As soon as I met Wayan I knew it would be a wonderful day. He was very friendly and professional it was easy to connect with him and his good energy. He have a nice sence of humour and very good english. As a teacher, he was very precise in his way to explain. When it's time to go in the water you already know the important things and you feel secure to surf. They help you to catch the best waves that are good for your ability and stay with you all the time to keep giving you tips and encouragement. It was such a wonderful day because you have fun, you laugh, you learn, and you make wonderful friends ! I am going back to Tanah Lot area and definitely will go back with them for my activities. Review Body: I had the pleasure to come in contact with Wayan through a friend. It was my first time ever surfing and he taught me during 4 days. Wayan teaches you not only how to get up on the board quickly but also everything around - how to read the water flow and currents, how to feel safe and behave on the water etc. He took us to cool hidden surf spots that you would never find otherwise! I really liked the way he adapted the teaching to the different skill levels and progresses. On the 4tzh day we were already going to a more pro wave with smaller boards :) Just hanging around Wayan and chit-chat is fun and you'll learn a lot about Bali, the people and their culture. He even spontaneously took us eating suckling pig for lunch after a surf session in a very cool little local place :) When I go back to Bali I'll defenitely go surfing with Wayan again!!

The tour begins at sea level, cycling varied biking on remote paths and villages towards the mountain Bratan. Review Body: Bali can be overwhelming to an inexperienced traveler. 4 years ago I ventured out to Bali, and Wayan was there to lead the way. We were working together on an organic farm project, and everyday Wayan was ready to work and ready to explore. From surfing, hiking, swimming, wandering the markets for cooking supplies, interacting with the community, or visiting temples to partake in various traditions, Wayan immerses you into any scenario with knowledge and comfort. Through this ability, the energy of the island is completely captured through Bali Outdoor Adventures. Now I take any chance I can to plan return trips. I have told many friends since that initial trip, that the first thing to do when planning an adventure in Bali is contact Wayan at Bali Outdoor Adventures!

Review Body: My friend and I went on one of the most incredible bike rides with Wayan through the Canggu and Seseh rice fields. Wayan’s brother collected us from Seminyak and dropped us back to our villa after the ride. Wayan was so lovely and took care of us the entire way. We did the 15km route, and rode through some of the most beautiful and untouched scenery we have ever experienced in Bali. There was not a tourist in sight, and we absolutely loved riding past the locals and small villages. Honestly couldn’t recommend this experience more - it is often so difficult to escape the touristy areas, but this was truly one of the most authentic things we have ever done in Bali. If you want to see REAL Bali, you have to do this tour!

Review Body: This was my first trip to Indonesia. I had booked three weeks, the first being in Bali. A big part of the trip was to get better at surfing. I ended up with Wayan, who ended up being one of my dearest connections in Bali. We had so much fun in and out of the water. He took me on a different road trip each day to a new beach. And each day we had a new experience to enjoy and laugh about. He even went out of his way to book a special trip to the local Firehall knowing that as a firefighter I would be interested. Now, reading the other reviews, I am not certain about funny...He had the WORST dad jokes ever. Lol!! Thankyou Wayan. You know how special you are to me. Until I return.

Review Body: Wayan was amazing, great guy, great smile, lots of fun. Met him on the beach when i saw him instructing another surfer. Being a kitesurf instructor myself i could instantly see he was a great instructor, took his time for explaining, always focussed on his student, and always with a great smile. Took another lesson even when he said i could go out myself to continue practising, just cause it was great to have him around but also made me catch a lot more waves! Cannot recommend Wayan more, totally worth the money. Next time im back i have no doubt who i will contact for more lessons! or just for a fun chat. Thanks again Wayan, hopefully see you soon again!

Review Body: We booked the first surf lesson for our 7 year old daughter and never heard of Seseh beach before. We were very surprised by the very nice road to the beach, very green and nice ricefields. When we arrived at the village, it felt like an authentic and nearly untouched village. Village which is by the sea and which is very rare. We had an excellent host with Wayan. He took care of our daughter who actually didn't want to surf anymore as she got scared of the waves and said the water was too cold. At the end of the lesson, she was standing on the plank and surfing and didn't to go home. We will for sure take more lessons with Nyoman.

Review Body: This cycling tour was an excellent; one of the best activities of our trip to Bali. Wayan is a genuine, friendly tour guide who will take you on a scenic adventure off the beaten track through Canggu and Seseh rice fields. The tour felt special and not overcrowded by other tourists. Wayan has plenty of local knowledge, a regard for roadside safety, and will tell a few jokes along the way. Watch out for the narrow tracks and muddy canals - it’s nothing to be concerned about if you end up in the mud! Burn some calories and have some fun. We would definitely recommend this to anyone coming to Bali who wants something a bit different.

Absolutely safe and a fun surfing instructor, he's really responsible passionate Balinese person we've ever met. We decided to camp on the Seseh beach, and it was fabulous. Away from touristy spots, a magnificent village! He introduced us to his family, going to organic farm, ride the push bikes around the rice paddies field, so beautiful to know the truly local Balinese experience. We felt so lucky to meet him. Will definitely come back again to experience and explore Bali more with him soon!!

Review Body: Best surfing teacher you could ask for. After taking a fishing trip with Wayan which was absolutely great I booked a surf lesson with him. I had many lessons but this was by far the best. Really takes his time to explain how to read the ways, proper peddling technique etc. one lesson by him is like five regular lessons. Apart from this he takes you to the best local sports. He does all this in a sustainable way with his goal being to let the environment in Bali prosper from tourism instead of damaging it. You are a fool if you do not look this awesome person up at least once when in Bali

Review Body: Wayan is a terrific surf instructor. My husband and I are beginner surfers, and Wayan was the best instructor was could have asked for. He picked us up at our hotel and took us to Balangan Beach, where he gave us a good overview of the mechanics of surfing, had us practice paddling and standing while still on the ground, and took us out to the water for a couple of hours of great fun. He's energetic, funny, and a natural teacher. We enjoyed the experience so much that we booked another day with him at the end of our trip. The experience was one of the highlights of our time in Bali.
