Review Body: In and out the water we had a blast, time went by so fast. Welsen was not only the best teacher, but also a chill out beacher. Every second we felt save, him pushing us on the wave. Why can’t we stay here for more surf and more beer? If you are looking for amazing surf lessons or want to improve your surf skills, we highly recommend to book two hours with Welsen. He is so experienced and you will enjoy it to its fullest. We both had surf lessons before but never had such a clear and useful introduction in the beginning and received immediate feedback in the water. Everything was perfectly organized and uncomplicated. They picked us up at our hostel, explained us the basics about surfing in a very clear way before we entered the water. Safety is their first priority and Welsen always kept an eye on us and away from the other surfers. This was very important for us. After the lesson, we got feedback through the video analysis, which helped us a lot to improve. And all of this in a relaxed atmosphere, he always has a smile on his face and a joke on his lips. For sure, we will be back in Canggu for more surf lessons with Welsen. It was fantastic and we had a lot of fun. Thanks a lot, Celine and Sharon (wifey)

Review Body: In the past years I took quite a few private surf classes in many countries. I can easily say that Welsen is the instructor whom I was really satisfied with. He takes him time to go through all the details out of the water so you feel safe and know what you are doing in the water. Each time I caught a way and came back to him, he added some more details to improve my skills. Also he talks a lot about technical aspects of surfing while you wait for the next wave and I also learned a lot about what to expect from the waves. He's also very kind and friendly. One thing I also noticed and for me which is crucial is that some instructors tend to catch every other wave and leaves you alone. He never did this and was always vigilant even though in one case it took me more than 5 minutes to come back, he was always watching me paddling out and was encouraging. I highly recommend him as an instructor.

Review Body: I recently came to Bali and wanted to improve my surfing and was recommended by a friend to contact Wellsen for some lessons. Wellsen was very easy to communicate with from the very beginning and picked me up from my accommodation and took me to the beach for my lesson. Wellsen was very professional and friendly and was so helpful in improving my surfing! I had so much fun every day I went surfing with Wellsen and really saw a huge change in my surfing with some helpful hints about my paddling and position on the board. Wellsen also helped me with wave selection and made sure I always felt comfortable out in the surf. I highly recommend anybody wanting to learn how to surf or to improve their surfing, whatever their surfing ability is. Thanks Wellsen for all your help and I can’t wait to come back to Bali and surf with you again!

Review Body: If you are a beginner or intermediate surfer looking to learn to surf or improve your skills, I highly recommend SurfWell.  First and most importantly, Welsen is really clear about how to say safe.  He explains the spot, how to enter and exit, and he keeps an eye on you and is communicating with you the whole time.  In the water, he answers questions in detail, gives tips, and is really present throughout to make sure you get the most out of it.  He's great at assessing your skill level and taking you to the right spot so you challenge yourself in the right way.  He and the people he works with are super nice and friendly guys so you'll feel instantly welcome.  My boyfriend and I have now surfed with Welsen on several occasions in Canggu and hopefully we can come back for one of the trips to Lombok!

We chose for "Surf Well Bali" because of the 1-on-1 lessons you have with your instructor, which I would highly recommend to everyone! It was our first time we ever even touched a surfboard. But because of the good English speaking and laid back instructors we were catching waves in no time!! The first day you have some time to get to know your instructor and will go through some basics on the beach before you go into the water. After just 15 minutes of introduction you go in the water and will catch your first wave!! The second and third day we had the same private instructors and just practiced on catching more waves on a more advanced board. We want to thank Koko and Bembé for the lessons!

I knew I wanted to learn how to surf after that, and I ended up taking around 20 classes with Wellsend and his team. Review Body: I spent about a week in Canggu and had planned for mostly exploring the yoga scene and various beaches. After my first failure of a surf lesson five years ago, I was hesitant to try again but signed up anyway. My instructor, Welsen, was so amazing!! He was encouraging, energetic, joyful and an all around amazing teacher (the best one might say ;). I got up on the board multiple times and after each wave, Wells would give me tips on footing, where to look, and how to position my body for a longer ride. When it came to the end of the scheduled lesson, I wasn’t ready to leave! I had such a blast and wish I could have stayed longer to attend additional classes. Until next time! 5 stars ️ Could not recommend more highly ️

Review Body: I’ve never stood on a surfboard in my entire life, so naturally I was not only nervous but also really, really bad during my first tries. Additional to that comes a fear of the ocean that usually prevents me from going out any further than belly button depth. Welsen was super professional and really patient with me during our lessons, this support helped me a lot and gave me good comfort. He created a fun atmosphere and actually got me to be quite confident about what I was learning and being in the water. I now consider myself a mediocre amateur surfer thanks to a few weeks of learning with Welsen, thank you for that!

Review Body: Wellsen was the first instructur in surfing I ever had and he made surfing for me easy, fun and successful :) He makes you feel safe and comfortable in the water and is always up for a joke and besides, he is very caring and understanding. Also, he did not gave me limits and trusted my progress, which was great for developing my skills! Review Body: I spent 10 days in Canggu and had daily surf lessons with Ricky. He is extremely knowledgeable and professional! I am a beginner surfer and had some fears about paddling into larger waves. Ricky was always there next to me giving me constructive feedback and making me feel safe and comfortable. Within a few days I was able to paddle out to the green water and we even took a few trips to different breaks. Overall, Ricky is super friendly and wants to help you get better! He knows his stuff, and I would highly recommend him as an instructor.
