Review Body: The ATV black lava tour was great fun. We took the kids tandem (one each sat in front of us) and they loved it. At first you follow the instructor to the black lava area, and soon after that he lets you explore the area on your own, but he’s always available to show you less obvious dirt tracks. The instructor was brilliant - he kept a close eye on all of us, helping out on the rare occasions we got stuck. He also took the kids for a bit more skilled off-roading than us parents could manage. Altogether an awesome way to spend a Bali morning! Beware: it can be a little cooler than most of Bali in the volcano caldera, and the lava can be dusty, so don’t dress in your finest threads.

Review Body: My husband and I had a great time on the black sand atv adventure, the best one we’ve ever done. Raymond, our guide, led us along the road then through a rocky track to get to the black sand area. It was great fun, a little challenging in spots, but we r both in our 60’s and loved it, you also have free time to explore on your own. Raymond was great taking photos and videos to make great memories for us. The return drive through the forest and village was lovely to see a different part of Bali. Many thanks Amanda & Dave

The scenery was magical over black volcanic sand and through farming areas. We would encourage anyone to have a go….you will Love it! Review Body: The most amazing trip to Mount Batur for the sunrise. Our driver Mel contacted me the day before the trip to arrange pickup time and location. Mel was on time to collect us and off we went on our way from Ubud to get the jeep. Mel's driving was really good and we felt very comfortable in her presence. Once we arrived at the location to collect the jeep, Mel ensured we were well looked after, getting us coffee and blankets for the jeep ride (it gets very cold!). We then went with our jeep driver, Nyoman. He really was super sweet and the best photographer! He captured all the views perfectly. Breakfast is included and it was lovely to be cosy with hot chocolate whilst waiting for the sun to rise. I would hugely recommend this trip to Mount Batur, it really is something else. It's definitely a long trip and waking up in the middle of the night to make the journey from Ubud was brutal but, it was made much easier by the perfect views and the help of our drivers Mel and Nyoman. Nyoman then took us to the black lava. Be prepared for a bumpy drive! But again, very pretty views and another chance for some more fun photos with an awesome photographer! From there we went to the hot springs. It was quite busy but that warm water was well worth it. Mel then drove us back to Ubud and very kindly dropped us at a location that was a bit closer to our villa (as it can't be reached by car) which was exactly what we needed after such a long morning. I would highly recommend Mount Batur Jeep adventure for your trip to Mount Batur, it is a must see whilst in Bali. And thank you so much to Mel and Nyoman who added to making our day run so smoothly :-)

Review Body: The car trip from Ubud to the start pointing point, Mt Batur Sunrise Trekking’s base camp, took 2 hours. The base camp had clean toilets and a sheltered waiting area. We met our guide, Putu, who gave us bottled water. He informed us the hike is 3.5km each way with an ascent of 7 to 800m. The trek itself was uphill all the way with a few short and downhill slopes. We started at 3:30pm and reached the summit at 5pm. The track is well used and mostly on dry fine gray volcanic soil. Although it is supposed to be the easiest and fastest route, it is quite steep at places. There are 4 to 5 rest points with benches looking to mount Abang and the lake. At the summit, there are many benches and a shed selling drinks and coffee and snacks. Prices are of course higher as the vendor has to carry the drinks up daily. Bring your own water if one 600ml bottle is not enough. The scenery is breathtaking. We were lucky enough to have a clear view of Mt Abang and Mt Agung behind. Putu showed us the steam vents and took pictures for us at various spots of the caldera. Then we had a light meal of banana, bread, hard boiled eggs and mandarin oranges. We waited till sunset at shortly after 6pm and made our way down. Headlights were provided after dark and we took one hour to reach the base camp. Highly recommend this day trip. Putu took good care of us, showing us where to step to avoid slipping. The driver was also very punctual and drove safely.

Review Body: I did the sunrise trek on May 18th and got lucky with perfect weather for a stunning sunrise. The few clouds on the horizon made the sky more dramatic in my view. My great driver, Mangku, picked me up at my hotel in Ubud at 2:30am and drove me to meet my trekking guide at the base of Mt Batur. At the trekking base, there are nice restrooms and a chance for a hot Balinese coffee, hot tea or hot chocolate before setting out to hike. I had my own headlamp and my guide privded a trekking pole (which was helpful and gave me extra balance for the steep sections). My trekking guide (who I had all to myself) carried my water for me & was very helpful during the trek. He stopped frequently to check on me and asked if his pace was OK for me, and he brought us to a section of the summit that was less crowded for the sunrise, which I appreciated. Back at the tracking base after the hike my driver escorted me to the Hot Springs on Lake Batur, and then to Nungnung Falls for me to walk down the stairs and go for a dip. The driver was very patient and gave me as much time as I wanted at the Hot Springs and the falls. I am very happy I did this track and would recommend it!

Review Body: Had a wonderful experience with Mount Batur Sunrise Trekking! Pick up at the hotel went smoothly. Our driver, Adi, took us to Mt. Batur safely at 2:30 am. He answered our questions and gave a some cool history and facts about Bali. Once there, we met up with our guide, Made, and started our climb. The guide was great, took time to make sure we were doing well, and added facts and stories about the mountain. We made it up in about 1 hr and he made sure to get us the best seats. We had a small breakfast with some coffee while we waited for the sunrise. The sunrise alone was totally worth the hike. Beautiful, calm, tranquil.... Colorful. It was amazing. Made made sure we got pictures and then acted as our professional photographer. He brought us to the best spots for pictures and spent time to make sure we liked it. Lots of memories made. The hike down was faster and he made sure we were safe all the way down. Adi picked us up afterwarda and drove us back. We loved hearing about his life in Bali. Highly recommended this company for the tour. They seem to enjoy showing the history and beauty of Bali. Check out the pictures

Review Body: We did the trip with Putu. First of all we want to thank him for making the trip so amazing. Putu is a humble, knowledgeable guide with 25 years of experience. He told us about the area, explained about Batur and we had a good tempo on the way up. You can tell he is so invested in making the you happy and also brought some food for us and was very honest that we didnt need to rent jackets sin3ce what we brought was good enough. The wetrip itself was amazing, even though it was too cloudy to see the sunset, we still got have beautiful views from the top. We saw the Caldera with smoke and clouds flying around which was looked dramatic. Would definitely recommend to do this tour with Putu! We liked down through the jungle in the dark and could see the Moon and the stars while hearing the forrest come alive with sounds, even for me who has been guiding on glaciers and hiking alot and been on 14 days winter expeditions in the mountains the was a special experience that I wont forget. My pictures dont do it justice since I have an old phone.

Review Body: Stayed in Seminyak so the pick up time was at 1.30am. My driver, Putu, drove to the base safely in less than 2 hours! At the base, met my personal guide, Nengah. Was given a 500ml water and a hot cup of tea to warm myself up as it was 17 degrees and the wind was making it colder. Also they have blanket/warm jackets for rental (IDR 50k) in case you did not bring enough layers for the summit. As i was going solo, it was really up to my own pace. My guide was really very helpful (lent me a hand whenever there's a steep step) and will check on me every now and then. Took a few short breaks and made it to the top in less than 1.5hrs! I would say it is quite a moderate hike as apart from the steep ascent, you will be hiking on loose rocks and gravel most of the time. While waiting for the first light, my guide prepared a light breakfast for me. it was really cold up there as your body cooled down, so be well prepared! and i must say, THE SUNRISE VIEWS ARE EPIC. The cold was totally worth it. What a 10/10 experience!!

Review Body: We had an incredible time on the Mt. Batur jeep trek. We were staying in Ubud and were picked up at 2:50am, we had tea upon arrival and then started up the mountain on the Jeep for about 20 minutes. We opted to have a guide take us to the peak and the hike took around 45 mins - 1 hour; we are pretty inexperienced hikers so depending on your level of experience, you may be able to do it in less time. Once at the top, we had a nice breakfast while watching the sunrise. It was a little chilly but they had jackets and blanket available for rent, we rented some and were glad we did. Our guide was so kind, he stopped for breaks whenever we needed them and helped carry our jackets once it got a little warmer. I’m pretty clumsy so he helped me up & down the mountain, holding my hand & guiding my steps whenever necessary. I believe his name was Katur, though I’m probably spelling that wrong. For me, the hike wasn’t overly easy but it was worth it and I am so glad we did it!

Review Body: We booked for the sunset hike and we were picked up from our villa on time and dropped off at the base camp where we met our guide Putu. Putu was great, he was super friendly and provided great snacks along the way! I suffer with vertigo and half way up I started to get a little dizzy and he was very supportive and kept reassuring me that if we wanted to go back down it was okay. He offered me food and suggested we rest for longer and I made the decision to continue the hike and he kept checking on me asking if I'm okay. We reached the top and I was so glad I decided to continue, although it was cloudy and there wasn't much sunset, it cleared up enough to get some really nice views and we could see the smoke from the volcano. Putu also took some pictures of myself and my husband and he was just a pleasure to hike with. The mountain can be a little tricky to navigate both up and down so I was relieved we had someone who does this everyday! Thanks Putu 🙏

Review Body: The second hike mount Batur! Started from pick was in time, the hike up to the summit is not easy for beginners participant, it's sandy and slippery. Our guide Lubak was very patient, friendly, helpful and let us goes at our own pace while make sure we reach the sunrise pint in time for sunrise. Once at the top it was a bit foggy but after few minutes gets cleared up and finally my effort was worth it. The sunrise was amazing and the entire view was incredible. We take 2 hours to get to the top and 2 hours going down including surrounded the main crater. Afterward soaking hot springs was a very nice end to relax in the hot pool. Mahendra our private driver also friendly, in time and he was amazing too. He let me stay at hot spring as long as we want and also he Picked us up on time and gave us many recommendations for our the rest days in Bali. We would definitely recommend Mount Batur and Natural Hot Spring Tours package

While we on our way to the location he share a lot of things with us. Make us comfortable. Car was clean and the aircon was superb. His driving was skilful. Navigate smoothly. Was a superb experience with Jero ! Mantap ! 👍🏽 Adi (4x4) driver was indeed friendly. He kept telling us to take our time to capture our experience there. Even helped us to take pictures! Not only that he help us entertained my nephew, while the adults taking pictures. At a point we lost one of the phones and he stopped the car and run 50m back to find the phone while we are in the car. A very sincere man doing his job. He played music to keep us entertained too! Review Body: The sunset hike was AMAZING. We had a spectacular host Putu who was super kind and the happiest person we have met. As we went on this hike during wet season we risked being stuck in the clouds. After arriving at the top we were surrounded by clouds, which was beautiful, but we did hope to see the sunset. We decided to stick it out and wait to see if the clouds would clear… and they did. The view was perfect, and Putu was so amazing with taking photos and giving us the best experience possible. This is the best hike I have done and is relatively easy if you have some experience. I would recommend this hike to anyone and highly suggest Putu as a guide. Seek Sophie is an amazing website to book through as they take away all the hassle and make it simple and fun. Thankyou so much Putu and seek Sophie, we will definitely be using this website for all future trips :)

Review Body: Overal great experience. We booked the less crowded route, but it did'nt feel like we missed out on something. Got picked up by our chauffeur Kadek Arcana at 2:30 a.m. in Ubud. Kadek informed us about the day's itinerary while driving to the starting point. We started our hike at 4:00 a.m. with the local guide Wayan and arrived at the top for the breakfast and sunrise experience at 5:45 a.m. Shout out to Wayan for assisting our mother in the ascend and descent of the trail. After breakfast we strolled around the caldera for some awesome views and nice pictures. After that we descended the mountain, arriving back at the starting point at 8:30 a.m. No crowds on the track, only some 4x4's on the lower part. On the way back we made at short stop at the coffee plantation, arriving back in Ubud at 10:30 a.m.

Review Body: My husband and I had an excellent time on the Mt Batur sunrise tour! The early morning is well worth it. Our driver, Jero Kadek Arcana, confirmed details of our pickup the day before so the morning went very smoothly. We rented blankets from the company before we got into the jeep, which was definitely nice and very needed since it is a bit chilly. The jeep ride itself was fun and the sunrise was gorgeous. We went to the black lava fields afterwards which were beautiful and really cool to see. On the ride home, our driver Jero shared a lot of really cool information about temples, culture and religion in Bali. He even made a stop at an excellent coffee shop as well as at a fruit stand per our request. The car ride itself was beautiful and we had a lot of fun learning more from Jero!
