It was surprisingly educational! We learned quite a bit about the origins of pho and even some Vietnamese history and culture along the way. Some of the tastings were quite creative too (like the deep-fried pho), which made it more fun and memorable. Jovel was a lovely host, warm, welcoming, knowledgable, and the pho is really yummy as well! It felt like a pretty unique experience that you probably wouldn’t find elsewhere!

This was such a sweet and heartwarming experience. It was one of those that felt like time was not enough, and wish we had more time to spend with the dogs. The dogs were all super gentle, obedient, and easy to be around. What really stood out was how well they’re cared for, you can tell the rescuers genuinely love what they do. Elizabeth and Carmen also shared some really meaningful stories that gave us a better understanding of animal welfare. It felt inspiring without being preachy, and definitely made us appreciate their work a lot more. Our hearts go out to every one of those dogs, and we’re so grateful that someone like you is championing such an important rescue effort on their behalf.

We’ll certainly be recommending this experience to our friends! 🐶❤️

Meet Saigon’s Rescue Dogs | Walk, Groom, Play!

This was such a sweet and heartwarming experience. It was one of those that felt like time was not enough, and wish we had more time to spend with the dogs. The dogs were all super gentle, obedient, and easy to be around. What really stood out was how well they’re cared for, you can tell the rescuers genuinely love what they do. What a fantastic tour. Vic is a wonderful guide. Great company. Friendly, informative and I learned a lot. Saw sides of the city I would not have been able to on my own. The different food stops were all excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed my afternoon. Highly recommended.

Emma was an excellent host! My friends and I loved this short, but delicious and informative walk through the origin and nuance of pho, which we’ll take home with us! Highly recommended for anyone staying in district 1 or even on a short stay.

What an amazing day out. Solo tour with Danny, who is a fantastic storyteller, awesome guide, and terrific company. Learned a lot, saw things I would never have seen and great lunch as well. Highly recommended.

We had the most amazing time in Moon Mama’s home with her whole family. We were warmly greeted by Tu, her daughter, and learned how to make some Vietnamese dishes. We laughed, talked about many things and learned so much. We enjoyed meeting the whole family and sharing a meal together around a table. This was an incredible opportunity to meet local people and experience authentic culture inside their home! The food was excellent and the company was even better. We didn’t want to leave. They played a game with our three kids and that was so fun! Our whole family loved this experience and will cherish it forever.

Heartfelt Saigon Home Cooking at Moon Mama’s Home

We had the most amazing time in Moon Mama’s home with her whole family. We were warmly greeted by Tu, her daughter, and learned how to make some Vietnamese dishes. We laughed, talked about many things and learned so much. We enjoyed meeting the whole family and sharing a meal together around a table. This was an incredible opportunity to meet local people and experience authentic culture inside their home! The food was excellent and the company was even better. We didn’t want to leave. They played a game with our three kids and that was so fun! Our whole family loved this experience and will cherish it forever. 

Great food tour. Apart from the initial hiccup when the pickup was 1/2 an hour late and there was confusion between "Seek Sophie" and "Saigon Happy tours" the whole experience was fantastic. 
 Helen and James were really good hosts, driving us through gangster alleyways, feeding us delicious food and imparting plenty of local knowledge. 
 We went to roadside stalls and ate a huge variety of local treats, many of which we may not have tried otherwise in districts far and wide through Saigon.
 Highlights were the red soup with beef simmered for 12 hours (soooo tender) and the crisp fried bun bao (?). 
 But every mouthful throughout the whole tour was a winner!

I’ve done a few food tours in Saigon before this and none of them come even close to this experience! The guides were great (Snow and Kevin are the funniest duo) and smoothly got us all around the city from one delicious meal to another - with no tourists in sight, and a sprinkle of interesting stories on top.
