This tour takes you on unmarked trails to see remnants of Singapore’s past, which are less easy to find on your own. Furthermore, Darren is a knowledgeable and passionate guide, armed with props, maps, artefacts and history (and snacks!), that made for a richer and more fun experience. Although short, this is not quite the walk in the park, and hiking/trail shoes will definitely help! Highly recommend, even if you’re local!

Excellent tour of Telok Blangah and Mount Faber in cooperation with Leica. Darren the guide is knowledgeable, enthusiastic and brings the past alive in creative ways. Leica staff were great as were the cameras we had the privilege to use.

Incredible tour! Darren was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic, and I learned so much. I especially appreciated all the pictures and visuals he brought with him. He also brought us snacks, which was so kind! The hike was a bit muddy, but not too bad. Just make sure you are wearing good shoes.

I've always wanted to visit The Sundowner and this beer-making workshop was the perfect excuse to drop by. I dragged my boyfriend along and we got to learn some history and science behind brewing. We thoroughly enjoyed the hands-on experience--boiling, hopping, beer tapping, etc. We also got to channel our beer connoisseur persona during the guided beer tasting. At the end of the workshop, each of us got to bring home a bottle of the beer we made. Fingers crossed that it ferments well! Can't wait to try it in a few weeks 🍻
ps. The Sundowner was everything I imagined it to be and more. It's honestly like visiting a cool uncle's house -- chess-lined walls, sand-filled room, mini rooftop farm, ant collection, bees, a cat, etc. I will be back again for their other workshops!

It’s really more than great an experience to learn about beading-it’s not about getting the end product after the session, it’s the skills and knowledge imparted by Shan, and “crash course” on ring making while beading in progress.
Truly enjoyable time, having to learn more than what I expected.

Had fun at their new beer brewing workshop! Clarence (the founder of Sundowner) was entertaining and engaging, he was also knowledgeable about the beer brewing process and the different kinds of alcohol. We also got to taste different beers and tap our own glasses!

I had such a lovely time at this course! The host took time to thoroughly explain each step, and her instructions were simple and easy to follow. She was wonderfully patient while I (very slowly) chose my colours—no small task. It was such a joy creating my own unique piece, and I’m already looking forward to booking again to learn the loom weaving bracelet technique. A highly recommended experience for anyone wanting a creative, hands-on activity in a relaxed and supportive setting!
